This place is very special. Play all the fun oldies I love. Basically because most of people here are older generation. Giving very fun, down to earth vibes. I've taken many friends here. Hope to go back soon. read more

Bartenders make good drinks people are Friendly but beware of the KJ Jose. Favorites regulars and has a habit of grooming patrons to try and date them. read more

I would have to say going in there. I was a little nervous about some of the reviews that I've read. I loved it me and my girls had such a great time. I didn't feel that the karaoke guy was catering towards the regulars. We really had a great time, I'm planning on going back read more

Cheap strong drinks. Patty's irish coffee is a favorite. Be ready for an older crowd. If you want to sing, sign up asap, and sign up for multiple songs. Tip: they should do karaoke versions of songs (the entire song is too long). read more

Cheap drinks and quick service! Located inside of Lynbrook bowl. Cute little dive bar with karaoke

Awesome local bar where everyone is welcome! I am a regular here. I've been coming here for several years and just love the atmosphere. Drinks are inexpensive and the bartenders are very personable! In the last two years, my company X-treme Karaoke has provided Karaoke 5 days a week. The Karaoke hosts that work here help create a fun and upbeat environment for all singers or not! In fact, OC Weekly selected this location as Best of Karaoke! Come join the fun and see for your self! read more

Guess they don't really like business here. Came here to grab drinks while bowling and accidentally gave the bartender my expired ID, so I pulled out my VALID drivers license. She saw it was vertical and was being really rude and trying to deny me a drink even though I'm 24! She was saying it shouldn't be vertical and obviously it's fake. Gurl, you must have started your bartending career yesterday if that's what you assume. I had to explain to her it's vertical because I got my license at 20 so I got a provisional vertical card and will get a horizontal one when it expires in 2019. But I shouldn't really have to explain this to a bartender, at least not one that's competent. You should know how to spot a fake. Note to the business: do your self a favor and train your bartenders, this is coming from a person that ALSO works at a BAR who was with friends that ALSO work at a BAR. All of us were so shocked. y'all are laughable. Update: different bartender took our order for our 2nd round and was super sweet and happy to serve us and understood my ID is VALID. so moving the review up from 1 star to 2. read more

I have been here before, but tonight was horrible and here's why: 1. They only have one bartender working on Saturday night inside the actual room where karaoke is happening. 2. The guy who runs the karaoke is nice but he doesn't follow the order of when people put in their songs. He has his favorites go and then decides to put a few people in. My friends and I had put in our songs right next to each other and they never called me. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you actually want to sing...... read more

You have to love this place for what it is. It's a dive. It's a karaoke bar. It's in a bowling alley. It's perfect (sometimes). If you don't like it here, it's probably something that you're doing wrong. read more

Don't bother to karaoke here unless you want to bribe the hell out if the KJ or spend months to become a regular. I've been about ten times but only got through to sing a couple times. Have waited more than an hour, while the regulars get up as many as three times and the KJ calls his own number a couple of times. It even goes that way if the place is only 1/3 full. Just plan on listening, if you're into that. read more

I really wanted to like this place! I was going to start coming here every Wednesday BUT all it took was a cranky bartender and a few entitled regulars to fuck that up. I really wanted to support this place but naahhhhhh. I'm good! I Walk up with a girlfriend and take a seat only to find out their taken by patrons that aren't even here!? The bartender was not helpful at all and kept giving us the stink eye. I didn't even bother to order another one. It's obvious the regulars run this joint. Thank God for YELP! read more

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible service. The girls behind the bar (Amber and another much more rude girl) gave us a hard time trying to order pitchers even though we came in a group of 14. No one came to ask us if we needed anything to drink or eat. Instead, the girls at the bar just stared at us talking amongst themselves the entire time. Mind you, there was absolutely no one else at the bar. Not that I'm surprised. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

The Kopa Room is the best place in the whole world, but ONLY when John Miner is the KJ... we love him so much!!!!

I've been coming here for years, YEARS! After KJ John left I wanted to like this place and give the new KJ a chance. Being a half hour late with no sense of urgency for your patrons is inconsiderate and sloppy. Maybe I was just looking for that typical energy, or maybe the bartender's face said it all when I asked their opinion of the new KJ. We've celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and then some here over the years. It's safe to say we'll be looking for a new karaoke joint. read more

If you like dive bars, stiff drinks, karaoke and a good time, this is the place for you. To be honest, I had no clue where I was going as my friend was the one who picked the place. At first I thought, "this is where we're going to hang?" Then once I ordered a few drinks and loosened up, I felt right at home. i even got a song in which was fun. Both the people working there and the customers were all really nice and were having fun which made my experience great. I'd definitely go back when back in that area. read more

I was invited by my friend and her husband, to join them for karaoke. He sings and they frequent the Kopa Room, at least twice a month. Living in Placentia, the bowling alley wasn't too far of a drive. I made my way inside and found the bar area off to the right. It's spacious enough, with a bar and stools, many tables and chairs, a DJ booth, dance floor, and restrooms in the back corner. The bar prices are very fair and the drinks (some named after bartenders) are tasty and strong. Win, win. Our group ordered fried zucchini and a pepperoni pizza. Both tasted pretty good, although I realize this would be part of a separate review. The KJ was good. He mingled with guests and snapped photos, table to table. My favorite part about the whole thing was the people and atmosphere. It's a very laid back vibe inside and extremely diverse. There were all types of nationalities, ages, and genres of music played. It felt like home. I would return here again, for some socialization and fun. It was loud, I admit, but not something that would warrant a lesser star in a review. read more

Tried this place for the first time, truly a dive bar in a bowling alley. There's karaoke too.. Sat at the bar top, it was very busy. The bartender was pretty quick to serve us. The drinks were good and stiff. It was a pretty fun crowd. An eclectic mix of patrons. In the end, it's an older place that could use a update but that might ruin the charm. The drinks were strong and cheap. It gets busy so get there early if you want to sit down. I would go back, maybe with a larger group, a good time was had by all. read more

Be very careful here... I showed up around 9:30 on a Friday... its a bowling alley with a bar.... but they had karaoke so I thought hey...could be fun... the bowling alley staff was fun and attentive... the bar staff was rude and mean... the one name I caught I was carrol probably a fake name... I spent over $50 at the bar alone.... I sang like a fool with karoke.... from the moment I got there I was treated like second class... luckily for me I found a guy "Patrick" who was a local he works at Disneyland and they know him....otherwise I'd never get a drink... I bought 3 shock tops for myself the tab was $22. I have a $5 dollar tip not because it was owed but because I was trying to be nice. I switched credit cards I bought myself drinks and Patrick drinks because he was a cool dude... I went to pay I added ZERO TIP (because they had been so rude and so unprofessional) as I'm finishing my drink they have their security (rent a cop - very nice guy) escort me out because they didn't like that I didn't tip them I tell them they were extremely rude and ask for a manager to which they refuse...I ask for the the police to which they escort me outside... so the moral of the story is .... tip their extremely rude bartender people or face expulsions by their gestapo.... I called 911 but it was not worth the struggle. I will be contacting my lawyer for further actions..God forbid you drink at an establishment that allows drinking) They will here from multiple lawyers read more

There service is terrible takes forever for you to get a drink and once you order they still take forever plus the staff is kind of rude I wouldn't suggest staying in there to long read more

This place used to be amazing, it's not as good without John. The new host on Saturday nights plays favorites, and it's very discouraging, pretty rude even and very unorganized. Very disappointed after having Johns great energy, hospitality, and services. read more

I don't mind the dive bar scene. This crowd was younger (saw people getting carded). Drinks were good but they ran out of lemons and limes. Bartender poured good size fireball shots but they were really warm and didn't go down well. At 1:40 am we were rudely yelled at to finish our drinks and leave the room. The waitress had just brought them over at 1:35 am. That was unsafe to serve and have us chug down our drinks. We paid for them and I was going to finish mine. Didn't sample food but I assume it's typical of a bowling alley. Female Karaoke KJ plays favorites. Guy grabbing his crotch, walking into crowd with wireless mic, and almost knocking a woman off a chair with a super grind was gross and almost an assault. We didn't get into rotation yet I saw her friends up there 3 times in the hour and a half we were there. She should know when their are enough singers to finish the night. I would not come here again. Well, except to pee - the ladies room was clean. Other dive bars and karaoke are better. read more

Look, if you are looking for a high falutin place, this is NOT it. If you wanna hang, have some laughs and listen to some bad (sometimes good) karaoke and have a decent and cheap drink with your friends, go by the Kopa. Karaoke every night and it gets really crowded on the weekends so people like it there. is it a dive? YES. is it dark? YES. Should you give it a try? YES. Cheap bar/bowling alley food in the diner and they will deliver it to your table if you go up and order it. A good, cheap, but fun time! read more
