Guess they don't really like business here. Came here to grab drinks while bowling and accidentally gave the bartender my expired ID, so I pulled out my VALID drivers license. She saw it was vertical and was being really rude and trying to deny me a drink even though I'm 24! She was saying it shouldn't be vertical and obviously it's fake. Gurl, you must have started your bartending career yesterday if that's what you assume. I had to explain to her it's vertical because I got my license at 20 so I got a provisional vertical card and will get a horizontal one when it expires in 2019. But I shouldn't really have to explain this to a bartender, at least not one that's competent. You should know how to spot a fake. Note to the business: do your self a favor and train your bartenders, this is coming from a person that ALSO works at a BAR who was with friends that ALSO work at a BAR. I have been here before, but tonight was horrible and here's why: 1. They only have one bartender working on Saturday night inside the actual room where karaoke is happening. 2. The guy who runs the karaoke is nice but he doesn't follow the order of when people put in their songs. He has his favorites go and then decides to put a few people in. Have waited more than an hour, while the regulars get up as many as three times and the KJ calls his own number a couple of times. It even goes that way if the place is only 1/3 full. I've been coming here for years, YEARS! After KJ John left I wanted to like this place and give the new KJ a chance. Being a half hour late with no sense of urgency for your patrons is inconsiderate and sloppy. Maybe I was just looking for that typical energy, or maybe the bartender's face said it all when I asked their opinion of the new KJ. I was invited by my friend and her husband, to join them for karaoke. He sings and they frequent the Kopa Room, at least twice a month. Living in Placentia, the bowling alley wasn't too far of a drive. I made my way inside and found the bar area off to the right. It's spacious enough, with a bar and stools, many tables and chairs, a DJ booth, dance floor, and restrooms in the back corner. The bar prices are very fair and the drinks (some named after bartenders) are tasty and strong. Win, win. Our group ordered fried zucchini and a pepperoni pizza. Both tasted pretty good, although I realize this would be part of a separate review. The KJ was good. He mingled with guests and snapped photos, table to table. My favorite part about the whole thing was the people and atmosphere. It's a very laid back vibe inside and extremely diverse. There were all types of nationalities, ages, and genres of music played. It felt like home. I would return here again, for some socialization and fun. It was loud, I admit, but not something that would warrant a lesser star in a review. read more

Be very careful here... I showed up around 9:30 on a Friday... its a bowling alley with a bar.... but they had karaoke so I thought hey...could be fun... the bowling alley staff was fun and attentive... the bar staff was rude and mean... the one name I caught I was carrol probably a fake name... I spent over $50 at the bar alone.... I sang like a fool with karoke.... from the moment I got there I was treated like second class... luckily for me I found a guy "Patrick" who was a local he works at Disneyland and they know him....otherwise I'd never get a drink... I bought 3 shock tops for myself the tab was $22. I have a $5 dollar tip not because it was owed but because I was trying to be nice. I switched credit cards I bought myself drinks and Patrick drinks because he was a cool dude... I went to pay I added ZERO TIP (because they had been so rude and so unprofessional) as I'm finishing my drink they have their security (rent a cop - very nice guy) escort me out because they didn't like that I didn't tip them I tell them they were extremely rude and ask for a manager to which they refuse...I ask for the the police to which they escort me outside... so the moral of the story is .... tip their extremely rude bartender people or face expulsions by their gestapo.... I called 911 but it was not worth the struggle. I will be contacting my lawyer for further actions..God forbid you drink at an establishment that allows drinking) They will here from multiple lawyers read more

Tried this place for the first time, truly a dive bar in a bowling alley. There's karaoke too.. Sat at the bar top, it was very busy. The bartender was pretty quick to serve us. The drinks were good and stiff. It was a pretty fun crowd. An eclectic mix of patrons. In the end, it's an older place that could use a update but that might ruin the charm. The drinks were strong and cheap. It gets busy so get there early if you want to sit down. I would go back, maybe with a larger group, a good time was had by all. read more

I don't mind the dive bar scene. This crowd was younger (saw people getting carded). Drinks were good but they ran out of lemons and limes. Bartender poured good size fireball shots but they were really warm and didn't go down well. At 1:40 am we were rudely yelled at to finish our drinks and leave the room. The waitress had just brought them over at 1:35 am. That was unsafe to serve and have us chug down our drinks. We paid for them and I was going to finish mine. Didn't sample food but I assume it's typical of a bowling alley. Female Karaoke KJ plays favorites. Guy grabbing his crotch, walking into crowd with wireless mic, and almost knocking a woman off a chair with a super grind was gross and almost an assault. We didn't get into rotation yet I saw her friends up there 3 times in the hour and a half we were there. She should know when their are enough singers to finish the night. If you wanna hang, have some laughs and listen to some bad (sometimes good) karaoke and have a decent and cheap drink with your friends, go by the Kopa. Karaoke every night and it gets really crowded on the weekends so people like it there. is it a dive? YES. is it dark? YES. Should you give it a try? YES. The KOPA room has got the best Kjs in Orange County, The sound is by far the best, You feel like your on a real stage. John E.M is there on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Renee T. is there every other thursday , saturday , and every Sunday. and Kelin is there every tuesday, and every other Thursday and saturday. They are open every night of the week fro 8:30 to 1:00 . Great waitresses. Bartenders. with Dawn Carol, Fran, Angie,Deane,and more great people who come and sing, Lots of Great songs and if you want Good Food and Bowling. all in one Place . This place is amazing very good vibes and great prices. All the people are very out going 4 hours being here felt like 1 hour. Only downside i was next to the female host with blonde hair; she called up a person she was sitting with and i though it was very unfair and the african american american bartender was very rude seemed like she hated being at work other then that i recomend this place to everyone. read more
