They added a few big TV's though. The thing they are missing is that people can watch big TVs at home. Customers come to the Corner Pocket for something unique, forged over decades. What made the Corner Pocket so special is going away fast. If you can tolerate non-stop country music, don't appreciate a diverse local crowd, hate low-key dive bar vibes, embrace higher prices, reject friendly games of pool, and detest the warm camaraderie of local folks, then maybe the new "Cornered Pocket" is your kind of place now... I arrived to my friend bleeding from the head and incoherent. When asked why he had been over served I was told "he's been drinking water and we're keeping an eye on him." I was told this after I arrived at the place to 2 non-bar patrons trying to convince him not to drive and to take a cab out in the parking lot near his car. He wasn't even in the bar anymore and they were "keeping an eye on him." When I asked about his head no one answered me. When I asked how long he had been here they said "about an hour or so". After speaking with my friend he showed at the bar sometime around 6:30-7pm, it was midnight when I got there. Her name was Don. Or at least that's what she told me. Looks like your friends aunt that did some time in the joint. Rude defensive and blatantly lied. Steve I hope you're reading this. Seriously, this is the place to be if you're in to 60 + year old men feeling up bar maids. if you're lucky you can catch the owner performing oral sex on said bar maids. I'm not knocking it, but this kind of show isn't why I go drinking. read more

We first asked Yoli, who acknowledged us and said she'd help, but never returned. After waiting even longer, we asked Samantha, who also said she'd be right back, but she never came back either. Meanwhile, we watched other customers get served not once, but twice while we were still standing there waiting. Eventually, we had to flag someone down a second time before we were finally able to order our beers. We still left a tip because we appreciate the service industry, but we left feeling overlooked and forgotten. As a business owner, I know customers can be patient when they're acknowledged and communicated with. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience at Clover's. I genuinely hope this was just an off night, because no customer should have to wait that long after being acknowledged twice.
