My fiance and I live up the street and come here at least 2x a week for pool and beers. then once my fiance went with his friends and as they played a game of pool before grabbing beers, the lady bartender who we hadn't seen before proceeds to say if they arent drinking they can't stay. so they didn't bother start drinking BC of this bs and left. We were just there the night before with a total of 6 people and spent well over $100 and they had the nerve to say that to them. First of all this place is under new ownership, so it may no longer be called "Dolphin Lounge", but I'm not 100% sure since this was my first ever stop at this joint and the sign outside was very generic, "draft beer". My experience here was very "meh". I LOVE dive bars, and while this certainly was one, it felt very creepy. I didn't dig the vibe from the moment I walked in. There was no music playing on the jukebox, TVs were on mute, and the counter was filled with odd looking old people. No one under 50! Also, it doesn't help being next door to an "adult" video store with creepy dudes hanging outside. This was on a Saturday night around 11pm; not very happening! I doubt that I'll ever return, especially since I don't frequent this area much anyways. read more

This place is open. It just changed owners. Better dive bar on dive bar scales. The bathroom doesn't make you hold your breath. It is right next door to a sex shop so it is a dive bar. The Salvadorian or Panamanian place at the far end of the mini mall has excellent food if you get the munchies. read more

This is your typical hole in the wall with two pool tables and a row of dart machines. They had a dj... the music was cool... nice cold heineken... met some people that offered to buy me and my friend drinks... what else can you ask for? We left an ultra lounge to go to this dive bar. The people who worked there were nice. It wasn't crowded just a mix crowed of people. If you are looking to play a little pool and have a drink this place is an ok spot to go to. read more

Found this place by accident while looking for some live music. Walked in and it was bigger than i thought. From the outside, it seemed small and kinda "divey" for sure. There was a great band playing "Jagged" i think they were called. they played all the great classic tunes. My wife and her friends were dancing the entire time we were there. The bartender was a very sexy girl that poured a strong drink. Unfortunately there was no food, not even a bowl of nuts! That's a shame because it would have earned another star from me if they had some grub. Next time i find myself in this part of town, I will definitely return to the Dolphin Lounge for a stiff drink and some live Rock and Roll! read more

I love this bar it's my kind of place, we have a mixed crowd and everybody is fun and nice to be around kinda makes you feel like your family member and thats comforting knowing that they watch out for you if you get alittle too buzzed they make sure you get home safe !!! I will call that my favorite little neighborhood bar !! I love everybody there minus a few sorted ones that are alittle over the line and not to mention names but they know who they are !!!?? If this bar had any tap beer it would be rated at 4 stars. I have a good time every time I'm in the joint. The owner buys a round, a regular buys a round, someone else buys a round and before you know it, it's a full on party with people you don't know. Wow! Can't believe someone said weak drinks....bartender got me drunk off two mixed cocktails!!! Pool tables and dart boards, pretty typical dive bar. The regulars are friendly, the drinks strong and the tab pretty cheap considering other local spots. If you are looking for a casual, laid back good time then the Dolphin is a good spot. The only drawback....the music!!! The bartender is annoyingly unwilling to change the music when a horrific set comes on. Nothing says a good time like good music so the lack of good music in this bar is really the only problem I see. I'd go again. read more
