Do not bring your lawn mower in for repair. We dropped off…read morea working lawn mower that just needed an annual tune up - oil change/spark plug replacement. When we finally got it back and went to use it, the engine let off smoke and then died. We could not restart it. Think the old oil was never drained properly, just left in and then topped off with new oil. One of their employees took a working mower that just needed an annual tune up and destroyed it. Contacted O'Connor and the manager was so rude. We had to buy a brand new mower. This was a few years ago so hopefully their service folks improved, and the manager actually provides customer service versus yelling about how his employee could never have made that mistake. Yet they did.

The customer service alone, making actual eye-contact with a helpful associate who asked ME if I needed help is always a far cry from having to wander aimlessly around like "walker" out of The Walking Dead looking for help finding a 3/8" nut! The store is always so welcoming, the front doors propped-open for fresh air, the great job they do setting up the goods for display, and there are always a hundred other little things I want to pick up while looking around! But let's talk real talk.....how can you beat the Benjamin Moore quality, selection, and ease of work with? And how much easier is it really to just swing into the parking lot 50' from the entrance and not have to worry about the hustle-bustle of the orange madness or the blue lagoon!?. This store is a comforting presence whenever I have any home improvement ideas, issues, or emergencies. The owners are salt of the Earth folks with kids of their own and I always enjoy spending a few extra minutes at the end of my purchases talking with them. I go there for EVERYTHING from a light bulb, to a rake, to all of my paint! I've also witnessed them many times consulting with, answering questions, and offering their expertise in an excited and friendly manner with customers on bigger projects they were taking on! It's so simple and it SHOULD come easy but it's such a lost "thing" in our present time. Go here!

The person who answered the Hardware phone line checked the shelves in person, since I was driving in from a distance. "Yes, it was on the shelves", he said. Once in the store, a young employee asked me what I was looking for. When I told him, he said "the store did not carry that product." Fortunately I knew better, and told him that I already had verified that it was on the shelves somewhere. He walked away, leaving me to find it on my own, which I eventually did. If I had not verified it's presense, I would have driven home empty handed. Maybe this employee could use a little more training?

Online orders come with a paper bag that has a handle which makes it nice and easy to carry out. There are two floors to the store, with the majority of home improvement things being on the lower level.
