I guess the best slogan for this place has to be "NO PAIN AND GAIN". I have very complicated root canal to fix in timely manner. Dr.Karapetyan did great job, fixing root canal and redoing the crown. Dr.Karapetyan is first dentist in my lifetime who did his work without any pain.. Yes even first numbing shot does not hurt. After crown was set, I had some issues with it (had a bigger gap between tooth and crown). I let DrKarapetyan know and he fixed immediately and professional way at no cost. This whole office is top-notch. I called the office regarding a wisdom tooth extraction and the lady - the doctor's assistant - was extremely patient and calmly explained all the details about the procedure and the related costs. There were some issues with the insurance but she figured out a way of taking care of it. Realizing it was an emergency situation, she said to come in the following morning. It was really exceptional and not something you experience in many medical offices. The doctor himself, Dr. Oganes Karapetian, is a class act. He took care of the problematic tooth so quickly I couldn't believe it. He is friendly and professional, a dream combination for a doctor. I was amazed at how the whole process took less than half an hour and was painless - you have to give credit to any dentist or oral surgeon who can manage to do that with only local anesthetic for a tooth extraction. His licence must be revoked. His Right hand doesn't know what his left hand is doing. No manner's, no class, no knowledge of how Dentistry work. I worked in Dental office for 23 years and I stand for what I say. My time is very valuable for someone like him and therefore I'm not going to waste anymore of my time to describe how terribly he treats his patients. I'm not gonna get started on how he leaves the office to go talk on his cell phone and when he comes back he doesn't even acknowledging nor remember the issue I'm there for and has to re ask multiple times.One more thing when you have a new patient you are supposed to take full mouth x-rays (FMX), panoramic x-rays (PANO), exam, a cleaning , and a patient treatment plan which he never did and when I was asking him questions he kept brushing it off and was very condescending towards me. I will repeat myself, I worked in a dental office for over 23 years and I never witnessed this before. He was the most clueless dentist I have ever met. When I brought up my concern with him he said he doesn't have time and if I wanted to talk to him it's $200.00 for 30 minutes. Question is...... Is he a dentist or an attorney?! To pay $200.00 was never a problem and we never talked about money primarily. I would understand him if he would say that Exam, X-ray's and cleaning cost $200.00 but to say " I have only 10 minutes and if you want talk to me then I have 8 employees and I pay them, so my 30 minutes of talking will cost you $200.00" Really?????? This was exact words he said. First of all I didn't drive all the way from Las Vegas, NV to Glendale, CA to talk to him. I needed New patient Dental Exam, X-ray's and cleaning. Furthermore, when I scheduled my and my husbands appointment, his receptionist Lilit knew that we're driving from Las Vegas, NV to Glendale, CA and she reassured me that she booked 2 hour for our visit and if we will start any treatment it's not a problem. When you go to a dental office there are procedures and protocol you are supposed to follow especially for a new patient not just ask what hurts and then leave for 10 minutes to go talk on your phone. Please find another dentist because I can promise you one thing... he does not know what he's doing. So save your money, time, and most important save your teeth and find a new dentist. I don't know how he got his dental license and I don't even think he should be working with people. BTW I personally know 4 families who denied his service and I can imagine after my and my husband's personnel experience how many patients were hurt. Don't go here unless you already know what you need and aren't easily persuaded. They tried to tell me that I need braces, which I might have fallen for if two years ago I hadn't been to another dentist about a cavity and they told me a had one of the most perfect sets of teeth they'd ever seen. I found another dentist, got my root canal, and were appalled that these guys tried to get me to get braces. Also, they tried to pressure me to get a root canal, which I desperately needed, but I wasn't ready to go through with until I checked with my doctor. I'm in the recovery stages of a brain injury and can't have any brain-altering substances (alcohol and the like) for a year. My doctor ended up clearing it because it's only a local anesthetic, so I suppose that's a wash, but they could have explained that. They also tried to charge me twice what I actually got it done for. read more

However, when the service is EXTRAORDINARY I find it necessary to let others know about it. Dr. Oganes Karapetian's work deserves a huge shout-out! This doctor knows how to properly and painlessly inject so you are numb and comfortable throughout the entire procedure. He placed two dental implants and I had no bruises, no pain, a very minimal discomfort after the procedure for a day; I was able to go back to work the next day. I did my root canal when pregnant. First of all, they take extra caution when you are pregnant. chest x rays are done with TWO aprons covering your body. Also doctor K will ask for your OBGYN letter if it is ok to do the root canal and will use Carbocaine insteaad of Lidocaine for numbing the area. During the procedure, they give you enough break to use the restroom, walk or whatever makes the procedure easier for you. The crown/lab specialist also takes time to make sure you are choosing the right shade for your crown and explains the procedure. They are professional and do not speak Armanian infront of the patients if they know the pt doesn't speak the same language. If you need your xray to be emailed to you they will do that for you and you can take it somewhere else to get a second opinion. You don't wait for your appointments. You are usually in right away. The only thing that I was not very happy about it that I like the Cuspidor(the little sink next to the dental chair). For me I like to spit out and the suctions do not do the job. I felt like I swallow a lot eventhough the assistant was trying her best and even I tried to do the suction for myself. overall, I am very happy with my experience. My OGBYN sent me here with Dr. Oganes Karapetian today! Yes today on a holiday for a severe molar ache. I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant and I was a bit worried.
