Extremely unprofessional billing department. I keep receiving bills for a service that was already fully paid when my child was born. I have called their office more than five different times and every single time they tell me the same thing: "Don't worry, the balance is cleared and you won't receive any more bills." Yet the bills keep coming. This shows a complete lack of organization and accountability. Patients should not have to repeatedly chase a medical office to fix their own billing mistakes. At this point it feels like harassment to keep sending bills that have already been paid. If the issue isn't resolved permanently, I will be forced to dispute the charges and report the billing practices to the appropriate authorities. I strongly recommend others double-check every bill they receive from this office. read more

The staff and the doctor are just amazing. To scheduling sick appointments, regular ones, getting paperwork completed or anything. They have great bedside manner and they are quick. Dr. Koo has seen our children since they were little. They are now 11, 13, and 15. Dr Koo and his staff are all equally amazing. They are great at getting us last minute appointments, very thorough, listen to our concerns, give referrals as needed, and even when we are state they are still helpful to getting us the medicine we need! Just came back this morning from an appointment with Dr Koo to circumcise my newborn. From the moment we entered the waiting room until we left, we felt so comfortable and so cared for. The receptionist was quick to get all of our info and payment. we did have to wait about 30 mins after our appointment time to get called but the Doctor and the nurse made up for it. The nurse that called us back was extremely nice and informative. she was quick to review all the after care paperwork they gave us, and let us know exactly what was going to happen during the procedure. The doctor later came in and he must have felt the nervousness in the room (mostly mine) as he was sooo cheerful and such a joker. He asked my husband who was getting circumcised (him or the baby), he asked what the baby was eating, we both said breast milk, and he looked at my husband and asked "whose breast milk" and then after the procedure was done he told my husband to get on the table, it was his turn Honestly one of the best medical experiences we have ever had. They did make us wait in the waiting room, which was a little sad hearing my babies cries from afar, but i'm sure they do it for a reason. my heart was breaking. it was a quick 15 minutes and my baby was ready! doctor picked us up from the room and although our baby was still crying (after the anesthesia pinch, he was mostly crying from being cold) they gave us time to get him dressed. they even gave us his foreskin! I asked for it before the procedure and the doctor gave me a funny look but i just want to keep anything for memories as he is my firstborn. after we got back to our car, we had to change the babies diaper as he had made a huge mess. we had forgotten that we didn't have any vaseline (to put on the diaper so his situation doesn't get caught up in it) and my husband ran back upstairs with a diaper so they can smear some vaseline on it. The receptionist lady gave us the entire small tub of vaseline! it was so unexpected and kind of them! Great experience. if i ever need any kind of service Dr. Koo can provide, I would definitely be going back or recommending him to anyone that asks! read more

Dr. Koo was the on call doctor that I was put in touch with by my daughters pediatrician's after hours service. After the great experience, I am going to switch my kids care over to him. He was kind, extremely helpful and told me that he would be on call all weekend and that I can just text him directly if my daughter gets worse. All 3 of my children see Dr. Koo since I moved to CA almost 7 years ago now. I moved out of Riverside 6 years ago and he is worth the 40 minute drive. His staff is always quick with referrals. I had an issue with a specialist my son was seeing for glaucoma and Dr. Koo and his staff helped handle it for me. He explains everything well and truly cares about his patients. The staff was very friendly also with Dr. Chulhwe. However, it was our time seeing Dr. Chulhwe. We choose Dr. Chulhwe to be our primary based on his reviews and all the nice things people had said. Which might be true. We just didn't get that experience with our son. He was very short checked the basic stuff and that was it. Hopefully if we have to see him again we have a different experience and will remove the 2 star rating. read more

They referred my baby to an eye specialist for a bump she had on her eye. I waited for the specialist to call me for an appt since that is what they told me to do. Several days passed and still nothing from the specialist. I called the specialist and they never recieved anything so I called Dr. Koo's office and they assured me they sent it but they would sent it again. A few weeks passed and meanwhile my daughters eye was getting worse and still nothing. I called the specialist and again they said they did not receive a referral. It wasn't until I asked them what number the referral needed to be sent and then I called Dr Koo's office and it turned out they were sending the referral to the wrong number!! They didnt even apologize for the mistake. It took a month or more for the specialist to actually receive the referral. They should have checked it was sent to the correct number when I told them the specialist had not recieved anything the first time! P.s.This happened about 8 months ago, but I am just getting to the review. read more

Was randomly given this doctor since both my kids were in the NICU and needed a pediatrician quick so case manager gave us this doctor. We were told we can change anytime but so far he has been wonderful to our babies and will definitely be keeping him ! read more

He is familiar with all of the forms for regional center, IEPs, Social Security and IHSS. And there is NO CHARGE for him to complete the forms. Referrals are quick and easy and you are emailed a synopsis of your visit. Same day appointments and never more than a 10 minute wait. His staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Blanca.
