We got the gulab jamun brûlée - an amazingly well done take on creme brûlée with a perfect top, easy to crack and beautifully flavored. The filling was amazing and sweet and so so yummy. They also were kind enough to give us a complimentary chocolate cake which was absolutely amazing. I'm generally not too impressed by chocolate but the quality of this cake was phenomenal with perfect sweetness and richness. I need these two again !! The dosa was soft and exactly how I like it (I'm not into crispy dosa), and the paratha with the vegetable curry was delicious too. The meat dishes my friends ordered got rave reviews from them as well, but I was still daydreaming about that biryani. Be warned about their 'Family Pack'. It's advertised as a family size but serves about two people, not definitely four, which is quite pricey for a 32oz bucket at $40. While the Haleem's quality justified the price as a seasonal item, the 'Family Pack' concept for biryani is poor value. I'd recommend the Haleem and Mutton Biryani, but steer clear of the Chicken Biryani and don't expect the "Family Pack" to feed more than two, 3 at best.

The sol kadhi, fish curry, kismur, and roti were next level, but the fried pomfret and prawn balchao were the real stars of the night.
