What is going on with this place? I only gave them one star because I couldn't write a review without one!! The last visit was customer service was absolutely horrendous however the kolaches were amazing. I chalked it up to the waitstaff must have been having a horrible day! I had a very large order so I assumed it was because I didn't call it in first as I was supplying a service line of a large hospital system.... So I gave them a second chance. This time I called and shared I would be coming in with another large order... hoping for a better experience. The waitstaff on the other end of the line was pleasant and shared I should come In they could accommodate! Great! I came in and I couldn't believe the horrible attitude when I shared my order but it went beyond that this time! She very rudely explained it would be 40 min to an hour and she couldn't accommodate 5 dozen that she was the only one working the back and the front today. (Wait for it!!) she yells to the back after I decided to wait to two additional individuals to come help her out. Wow!!! Then as I sat to wait after 20 min I received my 5 doz kolaches and 44 min later still waiting on 2 carafes of coffee... now the kolaches for my medical teams are cold and their already in their OR cases! Absolutely ridiculous! I called the number before putting in my review to no avail!! Avoid this location at all costs! read more

This is one of my favorite places to get breakfast kolaches. Today being that it's Thanksgiving I came up to buy a few kolaches for my family since we were eating a late lunch and we didn't want to eat too much. I arrived at 10:15 I ordered my kolaches and was told that they were out of my favorite ones ham and cheese and bacon and cheese. I asked him how long would it take for the next batch to come out? The employee told me that they were no longer making anymore because they were closing early today. This is bad planning. There was a line out the door and everyone was getting the same response. There's no way you should run out of kolaches at 10:15 in the morning. read more

The dough is a decent sweet bread dough (I've had worse. I've had lots better). The filling. Overly sweet canned purred fruit JELLY. Sad and disappointing The store is overly large-too huge. Large nearly empty shelves. It all seems mis-matched unless in high traffic large volume area. They did offer to warm up anything I ordered. While I may occasionally stop in if I'm area. I won't drive out of my way. Nor will it become a regular habit. Once again, Houston DISAPPOINTS when it comes to bakeries. We love this place for some comfort food breakfast!. I always go in with the 3+3 offer coupon I get at the back of the HEB receipt. Very friendly staff and also has good coffee. The beef brisket and the egg and cheese are our favorites!. A must have are the croissants, that's if one is lucky enough to get some before they all over!. An update, the HEB at Market Street doesn't print out the 3+3 coupons on their receipts off late. I hear Kroger maybe doing it. read more

If you're running through that one so fast why not make another tray. they get warmed back up in the microwave anyways . it's not that hard to have another tray of your flavor that sells out the fastest. No one eats egg and cheese so why not double the potato one like lol read more

A staple chain in the southern part of Texas. I love the variety of fillings they offer. This place in particular was very friendly and helpful in selecting our 12 Kolaches. The bread was fresh and spongy. And the sausage was very tasty too. Lamentably I forgot to ask them to warm mine up in their microwave. It would have made the experience 10X better. What can I say about Kolache Factory that's not probably already been said. They're solid and a stable chain. My fave thing is their Italian chicken croissant (yes I know not a kolache), but it's great. Many of their other normal breakfast-y kolaches are tasty as well. Wife loves the jalapeño popper, and it's a solid one as well. Savory, sweet, whatever your tastes, there's sure to be something you'll like. read more

Pretty good kolaches made by non-Czechs. They have a lot of flavors, which is nice, but to my tastes, the rolls themselves are too thick and tough. I prefer the sort of thing you get out in West, Texas, where the breading melts in your mouth. Especially the ones with sauerkraut. The chicken enchilada kolaches at Kolache Factory were interesting, but I didn't care for them as much. I ended up giving away the brisket one, which I really wanted to try. The bacon, egg, and cheese ones were OK, but the bacon was just tiny bits, not strips. The Polish medium kolaches weren't bad, but again, a bit tougher than I prefer. I like the kolaches at this location but I don't like the way the store is managed. Twice this week I came in and ate inside the store. But the music coming from the kitchen is loud and the two TVs are not turned on. I think the employees are trying to create an environment that is good for employees but not for customers. I wanted to get out of the store as quickly as possible. I think these chain places don't realize how many customers they chase away by not caring about the overall experience. It's true that this is only a $3 kolache but if I experience this again I will just go down to the store on sawdust because they always have the tv on and I don't hear kitchen music at that location. read more

I've been going to this Kolache Factory for a long time and we always stop in at around 11:45 every Saturday to get food. I've always had great service and never had an issue until this past week. I stopped in as usual on Saturday, June 15th and was disappointed to find out that they had run out of the Kolache of The Month (Cheeseburger Kolache) which is amazing. I asked if they were going to make more but they said no that they were done for the day which surprised me since the store closes at 2:00 pm. I decided to come back another day and stopped in at around noon on Monday, June 17th and again they didn't have any more Kolache of the Month. I asked the gentleman at the counter about it and he said that they've been told by the management to not make any more Kolache's once they run out so that they don't have to throw any away. I expressed my disappointment and instead went to Kolache Factory located on Sawdust and they had about four of the Kolache's I wanted. Otherwise, this location is great but I'll certainly reconsider going here if it's after 11:00 am because of my last two visits. read more

Sausage was quite small (about the size of my pinky) and jalapeños were sour not spicy and too many for my taste.
