I worked here for just under two weeks, and from the start, I was micromanaged and compared to others by the manager 'Jared Howard' before I even had the chance to properly learn. I asked questions, tried to improve, and kept showing up, even when I felt anxious and unsupported. The training was inconsistent, and it felt like I was being set up to fail. When I finally spoke up about how I felt to Jared, including some very personal things going on in my life--like being kicked out by my parents--my manager acknowledged it on the surface, but quickly shifted blame back onto me. He even used my personal struggles as a reason I was "maybe not fit to be here," instead of offering understanding or professional guidance. That moment broke something in me. A manager should never weaponize someone's trauma. On my last day, I was pulled aside and let go under the excuse of "not paying attention," even though I was genuinely trying to improve every day. I wasn't perfect, but no one is in their first couple weeks- especially with minimal training and emotional pressure. What hurt the most wasn't being fired- it was the way it was handled. Cold, dismissive, and lacking the kind of compassion or professionalism I expected from a place that serves the community. I hope this business reflects on how they treat people.
