I really enjoyed this place. The fried sushi had just the right amount of tempura and the waffle on the sandwich was not too crunchy or too soft. The fries were also very crispy and warm. I recommend this place for a quick bite! The facility was also very clean and had plenty of seating . read more

Came in for my first visit. I was looking forward to Korean Fried Chicken, but it definitely didn't taste like Korean Fried Chicken. The food came out hot, but it wasn't extremely crispy like I expected. The fried sushi was doused in their sauce, so I didn't really get to enjoy the taste of the food. The server was great! I appreciate that he took time to explain the menu and how it worked there. Extra star for that. The only bad part about the seating is that the seats are high up as well as the tables. Kinda uncomfortable when you have older family either way you. Should I give it a de one chance? read more

Been meaning to try this place out for weeks and I finally did this week! They have 10% off if you order on the website. I got the honey butter & cheese curry sauces. I did not know they were going to be on the side in containers and thought the wings would be coated in the sauce already. But nevertheless it was SO delicious. I definitely will be coming back! read more

I don't post on here very often, but I have been to KoKo's a few times now and I believe it is worth getting on and reviewing. My personal favorite is the spicy tender rice bowl followed very closely by the regular chicken sandwich. The rice bowl is the perfect balance of flavor and comfort food. The biscuit waffle that they use for the sandwich's is so savory and was delicious even on its own. The employee in the front was very kind and welcoming. My food always comes out fresh and hot. They have a few arcade games that are free to play and it makes the whole place feel like a perfect hole in the wall find. I highly recommend trying it out! read more

4.5/5! We had absolutely amazing service! Michael is the best, definitely the go-to guy! Y'all gotta come here. Great portions. Great food. I personally eat a lot so when I say the portions were good, they were great! The rice bowl would fill anyone up and the chicken wings are so crisp and tender. Everything came out piping hot as well, so props to the chef! In addition to the food, they have table games for everyone to play, hang up and hang out! We'll definitely be back. read more

The service was good. Very nice people attending us. Good personality. The prices are reasonable. I got the rice bowl and had a very nice portioned chicken. The place was nice and clean also. Great place to get a nice quick meal. read more

Meh, I'm not sure if there's anything special about it. The fried chicken doesn't taste much different than any other fried chicken we've had, and the fries are super soggy and flavorless. However, the churros are fabulous and the serving sizes are generous. You could probably go without every visiting here, but if you do, get the churros! read more

Koko is a nono!! can you say yuck! the chicken taste like Walmart chicken. the wings are even worse! the wings taste like frozen wings. and the fries!! someone should tell McDonalds that they are selling their cold left over fries as their own. so disgusting!! the sauces are even worse. they do not improve the taste of the chicken! the taste stays in your mouth and is so hard to get off! Not even going back there...ever! where is the zero stars?! read more

I bought 2 eight pieces and it was not crispy enough. Korean fried chicken is supposed to be so crispy that the batter will not get soggy. I think it was not double fried. It should still tender and juicy even after the double fry which is what Korean fried chicken is supposed to be. If the owners are reading this please take this as a suggestion. I was really hoping on having KFC. I absolutely agree with Rob G. read more

Omg ngl the tenders here with the sweet chili sauce ‍ it was amazing and I have had chicken tenders from corpus and Kokos is my new favorite chicken spot they have a new item it's 3 different types of cheese and the Korean corn dogs are my favorite as a side . rub-a dub dub thanks for the happy new year read more

Had a great experience for my first visit. Ordered the classic tender bowl with rice, and was not disappointed! The food itself was great. I ended up, spicing it up with Sriracha and soy sauce, but the food was really satisfying. The ambience was really cool too! real nice looking menu and wall art. They were playing one piece, Naruto, and one punch man which was pretty cool. Will definitely try it again for something different on the menu read more

Almost didnt write a review because I want to keep it all to myself. I truly was taken by surprise by how great everything was. Chicken tenders are hearty with a crisp, flakey, crust. Flavored as if marinated; juicy and robust. Gochujang bbq dipping sauce is wildly spicy and sweet. Deep fried sushi is creamy and delectable. Medallions that come lightly battered and best paired with their accompanied sauce. Its almost like a sizzling thousand island dressing. Their dishes might be slightly above the average price per fast food, but you really do get what you pay for. This isnt a chain restaurant. Its home-grown cookin' done right. Atmosphere of location is comfy chic. ATX meets SoKo. Also: most likely the only place in corpus you can get genuine soju! TLDR; pay this place a visit, whether youre a fried chicken snob or a Bourdain "Try anything twice" type-a-fellow. Support local. Support great things! read more

The food is bad and the after effects of food poisoning is bad. I guess I'm not the only one with the bad experience at this place. Read other comments in the posts. read more

As the first Korean fried chicken-focused restaurant in Corpus, this place has a lot of potential. However, it has some work to do in getting there and showing a good representation of Korean fried chicken. Currently, the chicken is very bland tasting and the coating is flavorless. Korean fried chicken is also known for the "double fried" method and having a very crispy exterior. The chicken doesn't meet the mark in texture and the batter I think is just a flour or some starch coating without much seasoning. The sauces are also very unbalanced - the pepper sauce is one note, the honey butter sauce has a strange tanginess. I'd recommend that the owners of this place do a quick field trip to McAllen, TX and go to Kiri Kiri or Austin, TX and go to bb.q Chicken or Seolju to get a more robust representation of the product and bring it down to Corpus. I know people will love it. Looking forward to seeing this place grow! . read more

Not for my palette. The chicken a bit on the dry side. It was indeed crispy, but the flavor left a bad taste in my mouth. Tried a couple of the dips/sauces and neither worked out for me. The white rice is quite gummy too. Won't be back. read more

I was really hoping for something different and good. I love fried chicken. Unfortunately this place did not have anything special. The chicken had no flavor. I would have to agree with another reviewer that it tasted like friend chicken from Walmart. It was overpriced as well. A 4 piece chicken with fries was $16!! The pieces were also pretty small. I'm sorry but I really don't think this place will last. read more

The food was great. I would definitely go back. The idea of chicken tenders on rice is genius.

This place made me throw up the whole night , we had fried chicken , first of all it didn't have taste , and the fried part was sucking in oil, also I can't believe for a tiny extra pickle complement my husband had to pay almost 3 dollars ,this is scam. And the sauces weren't that good , so I don't recommend this place, sorry read more

Got the tender rice bowl and side of fries and side of honey butter sauce, sweet chili sauce, and curry cheese powder and fries. The chicken and rice tasted great! Fries were kind of soggy but the bowl filled me up enough. The sauces were nice and the curry cheese powder was surprisingly good. It's like a Parmesan cheese with yellow curry flavoring. Ill be back! read more

Everything I wanted in an Asian chicken place. The chicken was fried to perfection, we even got a couple of nuggets in the mix. The fries remind me of Popeyes but better. ALL of the sauces are good, they aren't as spicy as I thought they would be but with a little sriracha (that they provide) it's sooo good. Definitely going back soon. Also, I've been dying for a strawberry soju and they had it and two other flavors! The pickled radish on the side was also a perfect refresher in between flavors. Everyone needs to try! read more

I got the waffle and chicken sandwich. It came with bbq sauce. I was not that impressed. The chicken strip wasn't that crispy and the sauce was not hot. Supposed to be 1 hot. However I will go back again and try a rice bowl with a hotter flavor sauce. read more

Ordered the chicken leg with fries rice, chicken tenders with fried rice, and the kids chicken tenders. The tenders were pretty good, but the chicken leg was not cooked all the way through, blood on the bone and all. The rice is bland and the sauce the add doesn't do much. Overall, not a great experience. read more

This place is surprisingly good. Been there 2 times so far and can't complain about the food. Chicken tenders are juicy and wings are better then most wing places around. They got Sapporo beer which is a really good pairing with the chicken tenders and wings. The seasoned rice I was iffy about it but it was surprisingly good. Got my food within 10 min after walking in when no one was in there. The open area to eat is clean as well so that's a plus and the menu is easy to read and understand. Definitely recommend the curry and lemon mustard sauce. read more

This place has potential, but it wasn't good. My food was only slightly warm I think it sat in the window for a while, there was only one girl working to run the food and take calls and tend to the line. My rice in the rice bowl was saturated with sauce- not good I barely could eat it -didn't look like the picture. The sauces were all pretty bland no impressive flavor at all, and no spice even the ones that said they were hot. They were out of ice for drinks, but we're semi nice about. Seem like nice people but the food wasn't up to par. read more

Grand closing is what I'd rather see. Every time I think about the overcooked & tasteless rice smothered in Mayo my gag reflex is instantly activated . What was supposed to be sauced chicken was barely drizzled . I don't think the chickens needed to die for this . read more

Nice In size on tenders. But had no flavor and and hard at ends and soggy In middle and fries were all soggy

The food tastes awesome and I would recommend people to come and eat and service was phenomenal

We decided to try this placed based on several good yelp reviews. Called in the order and they said it would be ready in 8 minutes but wasn't ready when I got there. No problem, eight minutes didn't seem right anyway. My husband got 5he wings and seasoned rice, I got the tender rice bowl and we got the tenders and fries for our grandson. Everything was good. It's fried crispy but not greasy. The sauces are tasty and we really liked the BBQ, sweet chili and lemon mustard. Will definitely try again. read more
