I really enjoyed this spot. We dont have many good spots for Chinese here in corpus. This spot has become a favorite of mine. The place is clean and nice, cant ask for more. The food itself is so fresh! This place serves real fried rice, not steamed rice that just has soy! I love the chicharron's from here, pair it with the Korean bbq sauce and it hits different. I was so excited to find korean style fried chicken in Corpus and this place did not disappoint! Location is in the same parking lot as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema off of Staples and Yorktown Blvd. The interior space is bright, spacious, and accented with fun yellow decor. What I ordered: Whole Fried Chicken with Sichuan Pepper - It is a small chicken but enough to feed two people. The batter is really crispy and great sichuan pepper flavor. It wasn't super strong so (for me) it was not spicy. The pepper permeates the meat so they must brine it. Very juicy and flavorful! They have seafood boils and American Chinese food added to the menu also. Hopefully the authenticity of the Korean fried chicken doesn't get lost with the mashup of other cuisines. What an awesome experience, had dinner and was just having a blast with the owner AMY. She is so cordial, polite, attentive, funny, and genuinely wants you to enjoy your meal. We had whole fried chicken (Korean Style) original, which has great flavor, very juicy, very lightly breaded, no overwhelming oil taste, with sweet and spicy drizzle sauce. We finally made it here. Cute place. Very clean. Based on reviews placed ordered for dine in. Interesting food but they have different options. I wanted chicken my husband wanted asian. Ordered edamane spicey chicarones for appetizers. Never had chicarones so they are different. Good but different. The edaname had too much seasoning thus they were salty. Good but too salty. Ordered half meteorite chicken for myself with waffle fries n drink. Good Husband had the hunan chicken n shrimp with fried rice. That was a bit pricey but the rest was reasonable. This might be the best fried chicken I've ever had. I ordered a half fried chicken to go, with the 5 spice flavor and wow! With most fried chicken I find once the skin is ate, the flavor disappears but the flavor and texture of the chicken was very good! The brine they use for the chicken is prominent and gives it a nice gingery flavor, and the skin is perfectly crispy without tasting burnt. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and well decorated and is reminiscent of other Asian fried chicken places I've had in other cities. Good food and service. We were seated right away and noticed the very cute but not overwhelming decor. I ordered the cheese bites and edamame for an appetizer and the half fried chicken combo for my meal. Everything was delicious. I got the Thai milk tea at 25% sweetness which was perfectly sweet and delicious. Edamame was perfectly flavored, the cheese bites were crispy and gooey, and the chicken was moist inside and perfectly crispy outside. I really wanted to rave about the food, but it was not to be. I ordered the original chicken sandwich with calamari and waffle fries. First, the chicken had so-so flavor, but was not crispy at all. Something seems to be missing with the sandwich. Second, the waffle fries were hot, but were not crispy either. That was a disappointment. Third, the calamari tasted like the oil had not been changed out in a while. They were also very overcooked. The big plus is that the service and friendliness of the staff was great. The restaurant is also maintained and kept very clean. I think if the quality and cooking techniques of the food can be tweaked a little bit, this place has great potential. I'll give them another year and will try again another time. Hopefully they can fix the food just a bit. read more

The seasons they use our outstanding and the chicken crispy on the outside and you see on the inside just the way I like chicken. It was serve as waffle fries, and a drink. The owners were from Korea, and we're extremely kind and answered any questions we had about the food. You can could eat in or takeout. We chose takeout, and the chicken was packed in a nice box along with our sides. Just down right phenomenal. I ordered a whole original spicy chicken that was great. But I was intrigued by the black meteorite flavor so I got six wings in that, and I was blown away. Perfectly cooked, perfect amount of spice and flavor. Great proportions, decently priced, and I really just can't wait to see what else they have to offer. Go get you some, or leave it all for me. All I can say is WOW!! The black Meteorite chicken sandwich is unbelievable. Seriously, it's probably the best spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had. We also got a half chicken with the Sichuan Pepper seasoning, and it was amazing as well. Super moist and tender. The flavor is in the meat, not just the breading. Even the brest meat was moist and delicious, and I never like chicken brest meat. Sichuan isn't as spicy as the meteorite but still has a little kick. I'm so glad we tried this place. They gave me a good portion of salted waffle fries and they were still crispy when I got home. The chicken tenders were average and kinda small but they were good. I think it's really heard to mess up chicken tenders. Now, the meteorite chicken wings were FANTASTIC. I didn't really know what to expect but dang was it tasty and it had a little kick to it too. And the color is so shocking. It really grabs your attention. And last but not least the Funnel cakes fries were the best part! The box they put them in looked small but the serving is a whole lot. Awesome new spot on the south side of Corpus. Super friendly people here! There's more to the place than just a whole fried chicken, although they do have a whole fried chicken. I got the teriyaki chicken rice bowl and it was a lot better than most places around town. My parents love coming here and now I see us coming here when we come visit.
