They still recommend masking (something I think it's maybe time for us to move on from...) but they don't require it, just know if you go in unmasked you may get some unpleasant looks. I was in here for the first time today (I live 45 minutes away from State College) and was blown away by the service and food quality so much that I needed to create an account just to let everyone know. I have no idea how long they have been in business, but my biggest regret in life is that I did not find them sooner. I got the pork belly ramen and the broth was rich, egg done perfect, noodles had a great chew, and the pork melted in my mouth. Got their loaded dumplings and while I am not normally a dumpling guy I would definitely order again. Got the peach black tea and it is so good that I had to order another tea to go. The owner actually made me a specially ordered tea that was not on the menu and it was good as well. The only thing that didn't hit with me is the Japanese cucumbers, but that was because I am not much of a cucumber guy and bought them out of curiosity more than anything lol. All in all I will 100% be returning and I have already let many of my friends know. read more

What an unexpected delight for lunch today. What Kokoro lacks in ambiance and atmosphere it more than rectifies with its exceptionally sophisticated food, coffee, service and personality. I found the flavors sublime, the quality high, the portions healthy, and the staff kind and wonderful. They specialty roast their own coffee in house. I recommend the iced Vietnamese. It's subtly divine. They smoke their own meats. I opted for the pork over the brisket. It was so good that I only ate half of my dish so that I could eat it twice in one day. They have a few house made hot sauces that are incredibly flavorful and perfectly spiced. Rumor has it that they will soon be offering a house made spicy noodle as an option in their already sublimely spiced cuisine. It seems impossible I know, but expect the unexpected. read more

I'm a huge ramen fan, so when this restaurant opened up, I had to check it out. The ramen was great and the sides are even better! The owner is wonderful and there was a great variety of options for different dietary restrictions (I rarely have more than a few options as someone who doesn't eat pork, so I was excited to see a lot of different chicken dishes).
