    Brown Sugar Dalgonette
    Tom M.

Situated in the middle of the hustle and bustle of lynnhaven mall, Kokee Tea, offers a nice change from other boba spots that have all but become institutions here! They have a solid line most of the time so be ready to wait for a bit. Lots of seating not too far as well! This time tried their Dalgonette as I was in need of a caffeine boost post Jade Villa - I'm sure you all know. Kept it at full sweet though I wish I went for 75% as it was definitely on the sweet side. Their toppings feature the usual suspects so feel at home adding your faves to whichever drink you end up getting! Will likely try their Oreo drink the next time I pass through! All in all a solid spot and a nice change at the mall!

    Vibrant and colorful menu.

Refreshing stop. Located in the right alley of Lynnhaven mall. Has bobba and milk tea offerings, colorful menu. Checked out the fruity bobba, mango passion. Not too heavy for after lunch/desert type option. There is a line, moves pretty quick. Enough sitting available, good shopping break area.

Don't even waste your time at this place. It's clear the owner has no regard for customer satisfaction. As a first-timer, I wanted to give them another shot just in case the drink they made was a random poorly made one. I went up to a lady whom I believed to be the owner, and was transparent about the drink I received from them. She looked at me and tried to explain what kind of drink I chose..... As if I didn't know what I ordered??? I told her I knew exactly what I ordered -- an earl grey black milk tea (something I order quite often at other places). It tasted like TAP WATER and I was not happy about it. I understand that the "no exchange policy" is up to the owner's discretion, but how do you expect to sustain a business if you don't show that you care enough to create a drink your customers can actually enjoy? AND considering how terrible that drink was, I can't wrap my head around how they have the audacity to adhere to a no exchange policy. Apart from the drink, her rude response ultimately affected my experience.

Kokee Tea really played in my face and tried my life a couple of weeks ago. I got an Oreo Slush with extra Oreos (because that's my favorite drink at comparable tea places) but the one I got here was super watery and nasty as hell. Like there was no taste to it. Now I tried to be solution based and asked if I could swap my drink out with something that I may have liked better, to which they responded "No, but you can feel free to buy another drink if you don't like that one." Excuse my language, but be fucking forreal! Why would I want to buy another drink if I didn't like the first one you gave me? I could understand if I was just asking for my money back, but it would not have cost them that much overhead to let me swap out my drink. They were just being cheap and not using a customer-centered model at all. Chile, if you're thinking of visiting this Kokee Tea Location just go to Kung Fu Tea down the street, Tealux in Norfolk, or Jelly Ball, which is also inside the mall. Hell a $1 iced Tea from Mcdonald's would've tasted better than this mess. TRIED IT!

It's official the whole world has gone weird. I have written a review on this exact location and all the reviews are gone from there. I like this boba tea shop so I am writing ANOTHER review. My great niece and I love all the tea shops. This one is particularly great because you guessed it. It is in the LYNNHAVEN Mall. If you are shopping stop by. It is great. Fast service. Not very talkative so I don't know if they are friendly or not. That's the reason why I decided to deduct one star. It looks very clean and they have some cafe seating close by. Nice spot to stop grab a drink and do some people watching. This time I got the brown sugar milk tea with boba. I love it. Yumm. On a hot summer day it hits the spot. I have been going to this one for a couple of years now and have posted all the different teas I got in my other review that was deleted. I cannot remember all the teas I got but they have all been good

Nice presentation but that's we're all the positives end.

I didn't love this place, I honestly didn't really like them either. It's also very expensive if I'm being honest. I tried a sweet cloud green tea. I asked for crystal boba, the woman repeated crystal boba, and somehow I ended up with peach boba. I didn't really get a green tea flavor at all, and I thought the peach boba would have been chewable, but they were more like popping pearls. The pearls weren't horrible and I feel like they were the only source of flavor in the entire drink. The staff today were nice, but I wouldn't recommend the tea. For close to $7 for just my cup, I absolutely would not come back.

Sooo good. I go here with my friends/family almost every time I visit Lynnhaven Mall. It always hits the spot. The drinks always come out quickly. I have never had a problem. I have not yet tried the snacks they offer, maybe I should sometime. This time, I had a day with my siblings, and I got Mango Passionfruit Tea with Peach Boba. Yum. This one is my favorite to order, and I love the popping boba they have. My sister got Coffee Milk Tea with coffee jelly. The jelly comes in cubes!! To me it's a funny texture, but she liked it a lot. My brother got a Matcha Latte with honey boba. That's his usual order and he loves it. Kokee Tea is a great little spot in the mall for boba tea and smoothies. Definitely stop by when you're wandering around Lynnhaven Mall!

So, there was a page for this location with several reviews and photos already but now it's gone. I don't know why it was deleted, but I'm writing a review again. These teas are not cheap - $5 at least. One size, which is pretty big. But it's a fun treat if you're at the mall and they have loads of flavors and options. You can even customize your mix-ins like boba or jellies. You can also customize your sweetness milk like organic, soy, almond, coconut, etc. My favorite is Peach on Peach from their signature list. Peach oolong with peach boba - but they're boba bubbles filled with peach juice. It's light and refreshing. It's sweet but not overpowering. Perfect for summer! Staff are really sweet and friendly. They also have some snacks in a glass display case to the side. Macaroons and some cake slices. Noms!

My tea wasn't sweet enough so I asked for more sugar, they gave me liquid sugar which isn't easy to stir so I asked for a new lid they refused so yeah, Wouldn't recommend if your a real boba fan but other than that the drink was ok and boba was very hard.

What a disaster! Three out of four staff members could not figure out how to give a woman correct cash change. They advertise this lychee black tea with lychee jelly, and then proceed to charge me for the lychee jelly. The customer service is absolutely horrendous. Pick any other Boba tea place! Two stars because the drink was decent.

Not the best tea I've had, but hey, it's boba. I've had kokee tea in Richmond and this place doesn't really compare. I ordered my drink less ice and it was watered down. I ordered the taro milk tea with less ice and 50% less sugar. It was just as sweet as my cousin's taro milk tea, who ordered normal sugar. In summary, the drinks aren't very consistent here. And they start around $5 per tea. They also sell mochi and macarons here for $3 each. I would avoid them.

First order. I really tried to like it but it tasted way too powdery (chalky) and artificial :(

The boba was perfectly chewy, too. I tried my boyfriend's lemonade and omg! It was so tart and sweet and absolutely delicious! The cup was very cute too. I love the heart adornment! We put this place as number one after we drank our drinks. After dinner we had our donuts and it was so good. I questioned if my boyfriend even tasted his lol. It was gone so fast. The pistachio one was really good too. I didn't want a super sweet donut and this one hit the mark. Just sweet enough with pistachio crumbles on top. As I said, this place is number one. We will definitely be back because this is my favorite location to get a fun drink now! We also definitely want to try some of the other foods, like the Korean hot dogs and waffle fries!

It's been a while, so I was pleasantly surprised to see they renovated a little bit. It looks like there is more seating for groups and they have new touch screens for ordering. One down side to having a self serve option, the people behind the counter acted like they couldn't be bothered to stop their conversation to answer my question. They just did not give friendly vibes lol I ordered the dirty brown sugar milk tea, and unlike most boba shops, this does not come with boba - you have to add it bringing the total for a large close to $8. It was fine, very faint tea taste and not very creamy like a milk tea should be. I also ordered a mango yogurt with star peach jellies. This was pretty sweet but a good, non caffeinated option for my daughter. Overall, I think their drinks are decent but not somewhere I frequent. It cost $27 for two large drinks (one topping each) and one medium drink (one topping)

I went for the classic milk tea with boba -- creamy, balanced, and refreshing without being cloyingly sweet. What stood out here is the setup: the clean, organized counter and the option to order through the self-service kiosk makes the whole process seamless. Even on a busy afternoon, the line moved quickly and my drink was ready in minutes. The staff kept things moving while still being friendly, and the space itself feels bright and uncluttered, a nice break from some of the more chaotic tea shops around. At just over $10, it's pricier than your corner boba spot, but Gong Cha delivers on consistency and quality -- plus I lucked out with a surprise freebie today (always a mood booster). Whether you're a seasoned boba fan or just need a dependable milk tea fix, this location hits the mark. Solid drinks, efficient service, and no stress. That's worth five stars.
