So, hands down the best sandwich i have had in Mitchell. I was raving to my employees about the quality of this sandwich. Nothing left to wonder about it. The Bread was perfect. Plenty bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly. I can not say enough about the atmosphere. I met the owner while in there and he was great. The young lady at the counter who picked my sandwich was amazing too, I made her nervous as I asked her to pick as it was my first time in there, but she made the right choice and well, this first visit made me a fan. Get the blueberry scone! Melts in your mouth and tastes like eating a hug! Their seasonal flavored coffee with Lavendar was very yummy too. The inside is cute and chic. We made an impulsive stop for lunch after touring the Corn Palace. It is located just three short blocks from the palace and was open until 4pm. The service was pleasant and the Rueben sandwich with a side of freshly made Coleslaw was perfect. They have a good selection of coffee some of which is roasted on the premises as well as a selection of sweets. We were quite pleased with our choice! read more

Drink and food was good, but service was horrible!!!! When we walked up the girl was making coffee- she saw us - not once did she acknowledge us or say she would be over in a min. And when someone finally came to help us they still didn't say anything. I had to say hello. Multiple seating available ranging from a back corner sofa with a fireplace to up front wingback chairs that over look Main St. Food is fresh and tasteful with a variety of breakfast options, salads and sandwiches to choose from. It is a lovely little place in which to do some work or meet with friends. The food is delicious, hot, and freshly made, and you receive your food in a very timely manner most of the time. One thing with the drinks is that they aren't always consistent, if you go to Starbucks or Caribou you know exactly what you are getting and how it will taste. Here, sometimes it will be a bit sweeter or stronger then other times and I know for myself I prefer consistency. It is a very nice place though and I will continue to give it business. read more

The best part...is they offer gluten free bread! My sandwich was perfect and my coleslaw was crisp. The cafe is very quaint and has books all over. This spot is worth the little bit of extra time it will take you versus the fast food stops on the main drag. Check it out! We loved this place! Everything from the coffee to the most delicious, freshly-baked scone (raspberry white chocolate) was absolutely wonderful. Also had b'fast wrap (loaded with veggies, eggs and ham) and the eggs, toast and PERFECT bacon. The space is super clean and nicely decorated. Lots of seating choices. Great place to stop in SD. Great coffee, food, and wine. They have almost 200 types of wine to choose from . The owners are great and very friendly. It's getting known as the place to go for coffee lovers in SD. I was at a rest stop and overheard the information helper telling people that it was about the only place for good coffee for 300 miles. I agree it is. You must go there on any travel on I90 but they are closed on Sundays. read more

Highly recommend! A must stop!!! We stopped in for a good coffee, and we were pleasantly surprised with the modern features and cozy atmosphere. It was incredibly clean and welcoming and the coffee was delicious. We even had a chance to chat with the very friendly owner who clearly has pride in the business. We drove from Rochester, MN to Rapid City,SD and there was minimal good spots along the way. Elixir was perfect. Loved the feeling and the food was delicious. I got the Reuben and it was exactly what I was hoping for. My brother got a turkey sandwich which he loved too! Even the bathroom was decorated and really cute. Will probably never be driving across South Dakota again however if I am I will definitely stop here! read more
