We made an impulsive stop for lunch after touring the Corn Palace. It is located just three short blocks from the palace and was open until 4pm. The service was pleasant and the Rueben sandwich with a side of freshly made Coleslaw was perfect. They have a good selection of coffee some of which is roasted on the premises as well as a selection of sweets. We were quite pleased with our choice! read more

Multiple seating available ranging from a back corner sofa with a fireplace to up front wingback chairs that over look Main St. Food is fresh and tasteful with a variety of breakfast options, salads and sandwiches to choose from. It is a lovely little place in which to do some work or meet with friends. The food is delicious, hot, and freshly made, and you receive your food in a very timely manner most of the time. One thing with the drinks is that they aren't always consistent, if you go to Starbucks or Caribou you know exactly what you are getting and how it will taste. Here, sometimes it will be a bit sweeter or stronger then other times and I know for myself I prefer consistency. It is a very nice place though and I will continue to give it business. read more

This spot is worth the little bit of extra time it will take you versus the fast food stops on the main drag. Check it out! We loved this place! Great place to stop in SD. Great coffee, food, and wine. They have almost 200 types of wine to choose from . The owners are great and very friendly. It's getting known as the place to go for coffee lovers in SD. I was at a rest stop and overheard the information helper telling people that it was about the only place for good coffee for 300 miles. I agree it is. You must go there on any travel on I90 but they are closed on Sundays. read more

We drove from Rochester, MN to Rapid City,SD and there was minimal good spots along the way. Elixir was perfect. Loved the feeling and the food was delicious. I got the Reuben and it was exactly what I was hoping for. My brother got a turkey sandwich which he loved too! Even the bathroom was decorated and really cute.
