Typically when I have this other places it comes with broccoli and chili's in it...the sauce is nice and sweet. This just had onion, almost no flavor, the fried rice was white rice with egg, no soy, no garlic, no sesame oil...very basic. Feel bad posting this because the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Dropped by here en route to the gas station since it was right off the highway and it def wasn't one of those sketchy Chinese spots that you find in a random location. It was good ! I ordered Broccoli beef , General Taos chicken, pork fried rice ! All we're pretty good a little weird to have cabbage in fried rice but hey all recipes vary a bit I guess. Service was wonderful and friendly. The only thing I didn't really like was seemed like the pork fried rice had a bunch of pork fat in it ! If you are in the area and think that some hot, fresh, and reasonably priced Chinese food sounds good then you need to keep driving. We stopped by with the family driving through. It was about as good as a TV dinner and the prices were really high. The soup is not good. The combo friend rice tasted more like a rice pilaf that you would get at a cheap dinner. There were salad shrimp in it and the meat was suspicious. It is 10+ for the lunch and then if you want soup, tea and an egg roll then it'll be $3 more. Please keep driving. read more

Very pricey and food had no flavor. it felt like I was eating frozen food just heated up in the microwave. order chicken Low Mein no flavor chicken was just heated up and mixed with noodles the orange chicken was soggy it taste like was under cook or under heated. Kung pao chicken was terrible again plain chicken with raw peanuts mixed with an unflavored sauce. I don't think this place its authentic Chinese food nor a Chinese cooker. I find it so strange that the best seasame chicken I've ever had is in the middle of nowhere South Dakota. You would think that because it's in middle of nowhere they wouldn't try as hard. Oh so wrong! I really liked this restaurant and I'm so happy that my soon to be mother-in-law now has a fantastic Chinese restaurant to go to now. YAY. Food was inexpensive, you get large portions and the staff was friendly. Just one tip: do not order the hot & sour soup. It's weird! I can't even explain the taste... uhm.. it is just weird. Only a few blocks from I90 exit 332, this is a perfectly good Chinese restaurant. Don't be confused if there is a second entry for Twin Dragon Chinese restaurant, despite the name, there is only one. They are the same place. Some Yelper messed up the address. 704 E Norway is correct. The entries need to be combined. Good quality typical mid-west Chinese. Both dishes were good. Vegetables were crisp. Hot sauce was hot. Chinese music was Chinese. Fortune cookies were fortunate. What more can you ask for in SD? They had one fairly good local canned beer from Spearfish, a porter Pile a Dirt. I think they could do better with tap beer, hence the 4 but what do i know. Did not order the lo mien, so i cannot testify about noodle authenticity. I don't get the negative reviews. Ruth, our waitress was very nice. Had Beef with Mixed Vegetables which had a good brown sauce. My kids spilt the Sesame Chicken, which they both enjoyed. The egg roll and Wonton Soup that came with the lunch specials were both good. ok .... this is the one Chinese restaurant in Mitchell South Dakota, it is in a re-purposed Long John Silvers. Probably the only Chinese within 75 miles. I am sure there is a lot better in Sioux Falls an hour down the road. That said It was ok - even good at times. Beef and broccoli was fresh with a not too heavy sauce, chicken with cashews was pretty good too. Kung Pao chicken was ok. It seems like the "hot" dishes are not very spicy but seem to have more flavor than the bland counterparts. The food is ok. Service was not so ok. The owners need to let their staff know: 1. Don't argue in front of the customers, 2. Don't wear ripped jeans to work and 3. Don't offer to box up food while your customers are still eating. read more

We were so looking forward to this food. The people at the Hampton nearby were raving about food. We placed our order. My husband picked it up. It was $45. Brought it back. Missing an entire order!! We called and "oh we are closed". We are chefs. We know the fryer is still hot--it takes workers at least an hour to clean up but they would NOT honor our order and just make the potstickers and let us pick up. Furthermore we paid cash and while they said a credit would be given- we are passing through to home and don't have time to deal with this crappy customer service. It's just ridiculous. Guys, this is South Dakota, not Beijing. Does this compare to the food I had while in China? Uh, no. But honestly, this is decent. I live an hour from Mitchell and my husband and I literally drove there and back one day because we wanted Chinese food. Don't judge us. I love their fried wontons and the side of sweet and sour sauce to dip them in. The sweet and sour sauce they use here is most likely made in house. It is not the sticky, radioactive, glow in the dark, anti-freeze fluid looking stuff you find in many places. If it's not made in house please don't tell me or I will be depressed. lol. You can get meals that come with an egg roll, 1 cream cheese wonton, soup, and tea.They have great lunch specials too. I think their soups are pretty good because I normally don't like egg drop soup but I eat theirs for some reason. read more

Was camping at a nearby campground. After being in the saddle for 10+ hours, I had a taste for Asian, so I checked my Garmin. This restaurant came up closest to the campground I was staying at.. Had the shrimp egg foo young combo. Came with soup,fried rice, egg roll, fried wonton and tea ($12).I also picked up the $5 bottle of sake. The sake gave me a nice buzz. Service is great as well, regardless whether they notice your wedding ring, listen to your conversations or assume your order is for more than one person. The reviews for Twin Dragon weren't terribly impressive so I almost skipped and moved on to a different restaurant. This would have been a mistake. The food was fantastic! Kung Pao chicken, sesame chicken and egg rolls for me and my daughter. It was ready in less than the 25 minutes they'd estimated. The portions were substantial - more than I should have eaten but it was the best Chinese food I'd had in a long time. The containers were strong (no leaks). Our only complaint was the size of the included cutlery. Your first thought is "Shaq would be frustrated if he found himself in Mitchell, SD eating takeout (which I'm certain happens often) and had to use a spork the size of his smallest fingernail..." (Yes, the "fried rice" was pretty weak but it certainly didn't spoil the rest of the meal.) Otherwise? The experience was excellent. Pictures of the family / owners adorn the walls and in today's BigBox culture it's nice to know you're supporting an entrepreneur who may actually read your reviews and act/react accordingly. Two stars for the cardboard containers and paper bags. We got sesame chicken and General Tso chicken. They tasted exactly alike........bad! There were 3 pieces of broccoli in the sesame chicken and the Generals chicken had green peppers in it!! I got fried rice, it was just colored and the white rice was the best thing! Normally don't leave a review because any place can have an "off night" but this is the third time we've had a similar experience and feel that maybe theey need to know.....so here goes--it's literally below zero out and we are sat in front booths where when door is opened the cold air rushes you! Brrr. Once we ordered, we waited a minimum of 50 min for our food, when it came, it was cold and partly wrong. My husband even sent his back to be nuked. I was too hungry. We had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. Waitstaff was friendly, just not attentive. People who came in after us got their food first....might explain why ours was cold. Just not worth the high cost of the meal. Sadly 2 stars is being nice. read more

Had the Hot and Spicy shrimp special for lunch. Came with rice, soup, egg roll and hot tea for $9. Kick and tasty. Husband had chicken with snow pea. Not as impressive. Average.
