If you live in Vallejo, Kohl's is a convenient go-to spot especially for Amazon returns, which is mainly what I use it for. The parking lot is usually pretty manageable. It's not empty, but it's rarely packed, so finding a spot isn't a hassle. When you walk in, you'll usually notice security guards near the entrance, which I assume is due to theft in the area. Right away, you're also hit with a nice scent from the perfume section located near the front, it actually makes for a pleasant first impression. If you're there for Amazon returns, just know you'll need to head upstairs. There are signs letting you know that Amazon returns are on the second floor, and you can take the escalator up. Once you get there, there are additional signs directing you to the correct area, and the counter is clearly marked for Amazon returns only although you'll still see some people mistakenly trying to return Kohl's items there. The staff upstairs are usually friendly and helpful. One tip: make sure you already have your Amazon return code ready in the app before you get to the counter. It keeps the line moving and saves you from fumbling while others are waiting. After your return, they typically give you a coupon usually somewhere between 10% to 20% off your next Kohl's purchase, which is a nice bonus. Overall, this is my go-to spot for Amazon returns. I'm glad there's a Kohl's nearby and having a Sephora is such a plus. I like this location and their hours are great. Associates always welcomes you as you enter the store. Prices do vary and I'd say it's still pricey unless they are on sale or clearance. Overall a good shopping experience. Probably the quickest I've ever be in and out of Kohl's. It was very clean and bright and I was able to quickly locate an associate to help me find customer service. This review focuses mostly on the kitchen area in the Kohl's. Finally, I had assembled a shopping list of items I needed for the kitchen but shopping in Kohl's ain't like shopping in Macy's. I'll literally could not find any item on my shopping list. The store was either out of those items or they don't carry them. I've been to the Kohl's before and not been disappointed in their selection, but I didn't have a shopping list then I was window shopping. So what explains the difference in my reaction? Kohl's does have some very attractive sales, but the stock seems to be kinda hit or miss. if you happen to need what they've got, the price is likely to be attractive. If you have a very specific items in mind Kohl's is not a comprehensive kitchen store and specialty items will be scarce or missing completely. So my rating is four stars for prices, but two stars for depth. read more

Kohl's, the store itself I don't have an issue with. However the Sephora store within I do have a big issue with and I probably won't shop there again. I don't buy make up much and don't even shop at Sephora really. My purchase was for a family member. The cashier asked me to enter my email or phone. I declined as there was no need. She then further explained the rewards and I explained that I don't shop at Sephora often so I can just pay. She THEN asked the random lady purchasing next to me if she wanted to get points from my purchase she can enter her phone on there. I thought that was completely RUDE to not ask MY permission and to assume it was ok. I paid with credit card so idk how their privacy policy is or if my purchase shows up on that customer rewards account let alone any other info. I bet she as an employee doesn't know either as it was a disrespect to a customer's own privacy. Purchase was made on 4/21/2025 around 3:15pm if you want to see who was working at that time, this is directed to the manager. I am not against sharing the points as a result of my purchase with someone I know or with the courtesy of the mere ask. So while shopping for new clothes for a new job ( yippee ) I came across some great finds. Three end of summer dresses, light kimono, and cute earrings on clearance. Score 1 extra point! My favorite was accidentally walking into the newly opened Sephora (Makeup Haven) smack dab in front by the registers. Although the merchandise is great, and the price is pretty decent with sales and coupons, I can't stop thinking about their register set up. They have eliminated almost half the registers and crammed the others upfront. You have to wait in this long line which is like a maze similar to HomeGoods. I feel sick and dizzy. Just thinking about having to wait in that line. Also, if you have a return, you have to wait in the same line which is a huge inconvenience. They used to have the returns upstairs, which made it more convenient for the customer. The employees that work there look, exhausted and tired and just absolutely miserable. I hate to see what this holiday season is gonna look like! I for sure Will take my business elsewhere and shop at the other local stores like target and Costco where shopping and returns are easy. The very first Kohl's I disliked. I guess I've been spoiled by the ones located in Redondo Beach and Torrance. Gawd, there's so much I want to buy from both those stores but being on a budget, I've had to refrain so many times. But not here. The variety here isn't good. Even with the buy one, get one 50% off sale. I came through with my Mom because we had a $110 Kohl's cash/voucher to burn. (It was going to expire in a couple of days, so we had to take advantage of it.) Parking = not an issue. Huge lot. Our focus was the home department, so we headed straight upstairs soon as we figured out its location. I needed a few things in the kitchen (cutting board, rugs, maybe a couple of frying pans.) Mom wanted to get another set of sheets (the same ones she got at the RB store.) We were both disappointed. Cutting boards: the only one they had was a pair off the Food Network brand for $30. Skipped it as they weren't the sizes I was looking for in the first place. I also thought, "Damn, that's pricey for cutting boards!" Ditto the frying pans, they were incredibly expensive. Rugs?! I couldn't even find where they were! Mom couldn't find the brand of sheets she wanted either! And then we sorta ran out of anything we wanted to buy. The variety they had in this store was so minimal, but with the $110 to burn, we just started getting stuff we didn't really need: socks, stuff off the clearance racks, even a Snoopy stuffed toy for the awesome price of $2.50, etc. We did see a few bargains ($7.99 leggings, $5 kitchen towels.) As if we weren't dismayed enough, the leggings and kitchen towels were coming up with the wrong (much higher!) price as they got scanned. I had to cancel the whole transaction so I can go back upstairs and take pictures of the signs to show the staff. Long story short: they are all mislabeled. Which is very MISLEADING! And annoying! Finally, there wasn't a corner that wasn't cluttered. There was always something out of place regardless of where I looked. The whole experience was dull. The home department was just drab. We were both taken aback by how disappointed we were. Unless I score more Kohl's cash and have to spend it immediately and this happens to be the closest Kohl's to me, a follow up visit is highly doubtful. read more

So if something doesn't fit it means multiple trips to return items. And if you want to purchase multiple items good luck. There are no shopping carts or bags to put your items in. Not sure why all the bad reviews. Shopping can be hard work! I came here early in February to shopped the mega clearance sale the clearance options for men and women's clothing was massive. I spent a couple hours going thru the racks and spent $110 for over $700 worth. Generally, in my opinion, sales are overrated because they're over priced to begin with. However, today I got a blouse for $.67 a men's pair of wide fila athletic shoes for $10 etc. I was getting frustrated because they had so much of my size but I didn't need the items but I had a hard time passing up shirts that were less than three dollars! I spoke to about five staff persons all in all. They were very pleasant. Angie checked me out and was in good spirits and jealous of my deals. ;-) jk. I was exhausted and hungry at check out and it was nice have uplifting positive service. This is one of the largest Kohl's I've ever been to. So I've shopped here for the past few years and I never had a problem until today. I purchased some items for Christmas as we were leaving we saw that they had Warriors apparel on sale. So we decide to buy 2 shirts and sweaters for our kids. We went in line again and as we were standing in line we notice that the size tags on the shirt differs from the size on the hanger. So my wife and I just step out of line for 1 minute or so to grab the right size. The line grew. And 5 ppl were in line. I was next up anyways so I went to the cashier at the jewellery section. Now heres where the problem is. The guy said we have to go to the back of the line. I said no I am not. You saw we were next we just had to change sizes because the size on the hanger differs from the size on shirt and we were out of line for less then 1 minute. Then he still argued stating I have to go back even though I was next in line. And I stated again Im not. He began to argue with me and I stood my ground so he finally rang me up. During the time I was there he still continued to argue saying that this is the only time he would do this. Now Im pissed I stated why are you arguing with a customer. You stated I was next in line anyway. Its not my fault you guys miss tag your clothing its yours. Then arrogantly the guy states it not his fault its mine. I said no its the companys so just ring me up. I spoke to the manager and explained the situation. I am still up set. I spend about a thousand dollars each year.. About 700 for back to school for my kids and 300 for Christmas. This guy ( guy with glasses, Caucasian, ponytail ) needs to find a different job. Obviously he hates the job and is antisocial and does not know one thing about customer service. Im going to do most of my kids shopping somewhere else from now on if I can help it. Before I used to have them as priority for my kids back 2 school clothes and Christmas. Now they are on the bottom. If I can find it somewhere else I will. And only if I cant find what Im looking for I will stop in. Management should screen who they hire and train them properly in how to deal with customers. read more

Kohl's is like my redheaded stepchild. Tucked away up on the hill where the old dome shaped theatre used to be...it's often forgotten--and not only by me. I say that cuz every time I do go--the place is a damn near ghost town. How they stay in biz in Vallejo is beyond me. However, when I do remember to stop in, I'm usually real happy. Here's why: o Love the shoe selection! A real lady never tells her shoe size (I just made that up) but let's just say if you don't wear what seems to be the standard size 7 or 8, you'll be happy here with cute shoes in sizes beyond that... o Girlie section rocks...I'm talkin' about the square that starts with nice jewelry, turns into make-up/ perfume, turns to handbags/scarves/slippers, and finally back to costume jewelry...find me here! Love that they carry the 1928 collection! o Recently found the young men's section---nice priced 501s and "hip" styles/brands including Vans, Nike, hoodies and their own young label tee's that fit the bill quite nice for my 11 year old going on 17. And finally....finally.... o Home Decorating Stuff! Cute pics, frames, candles etc and usually some pretty good deals. The one downside, and this caused the lost star for me--the neglect and lack of pride they display in the section for us lovely (and I mean lovely!!!) women. All around the store, they do a pretty nice job of highlighting the cute affordable style fashion by Daisy Fuentes, Elle, Vera Wang etc etc etc. But then you get to the plus size section and the clothes on the mannequin look like a sloppy hot mess. What a horrible message to give and really stereotypical!! I'm no activist here but take note from Lane Bryant....make your mannequins look good and the clothes on your hangers and shelves will fly out the doors...and at rather high prices to boot. (see the uploaded pics if you don't believe me UGH!!!) I found the service to be hit and miss....from super friendly to oblivious. No big complaints in this area...was just fine. I fell in love with Kohls in 2006 and since then I've been a MVC customer. I dont shop there as often anymore, but when I do these days I usually go straight to the FLIRT! make up section. This is the biggest and cleanest Kohls I've seen in the Bay Area. And as a former employee, I know how much effort they put into making sure this store is clean, and it shows! The only complain I have is that it doesnt seem like they take very good care of the make up section. A lot of things arent stocked or the testers look like a kid dragged a q-tip way too hard into it and the make up in the boxes are often tampered with (make sure to check them before you buy them! I cant tell you how many times I had to exchange mine!). If they took better care of their make up section, this would be the perfect store to shop at! I also love how clean their bathrooms are!! I tend to judge how much I like a store by how clean their bathrooms are and when I have to use the bathroom when I'm in that area I usually go to Kohls to do it! read more

I don't shop at Kohl's very often in the past and haven't activated my Kohl's credit card, but I have been going to Kohl's more often recently to shop for my 3 kids. Kohl's has pretty good quality clothing and my kids like their clothes = win win for me! I received a 15% off coupon off of what I thought was everything in the store. My son wanted Under Armor sliders, which are expensive, but with the 15% off coupon, I thought I would splurge for him. I got to the check out stand and the employee stated that the coupon doesn't count for this brand. I said that it wasn't clear on the coupon. He stated that I would have to look online to see what the coupon was good for. I tried to speak to the manager, but the store was too busy to send a manager to talk to me. The other employee that tried to help me stated, "The Kohl's credit card holders knows these things." She also stated that "yes, it was not clear, but I would not get the discount". When I was in the car, I told my kids, "If they would have given me the 15% discount, I would have been a 'happy customer', but now I'm leaving frustrated and most likely won't be back for 'back to school shopping'. I went into Kohl's Vallejo to go shopping. I was told that Kohl's is offering 30% discount for Active Military, retired and Veterans with the proper I.d Card. I pick up some items and went to pay. I showed my VA card proof of me being a US Veteran. She said it's only for Active and Reservist members of the military. So I went on there website and it clearly said which includes Veterans with a VA ID card. It's Veterans day which should include anyone who served in the military with the proper VA ID card. It's not called Active and Reservist Military day. That was some bullshit. read more

Kinda sucks that the cashier wasn't able to look up what I purchased. I was told we can get an exchange for the same amount of what I purchased just as long as it's on my kohl's card but I guess not. They basically gave me a store credit for 1/2 of what I spent. And I can't even use it same day I came for an exchange.. makes no sense. Now I remember why we don't often come here. This business can get a little messy and hard to find assistance, but other than that, it fulfills its basic design of clothing the general masses of Vallejo. I came to this Kohl's on my way to a motorcycle training class because I cracked my sunglasses and needed a new pair PRONTO. Wow, I was amazed. And not in a good way! Toooo much stuff! Wait, this reminded me of Mervyn's? And why would I ever-EVER want to wear anything that Lauren Conrad makes? And who the hell is Daisy Fuentes? Simply Vera by Vera Wang was disappointing as well. Come on, clothes looking like this are not for fashion forward people. I remember going to Kohl's in Kentucky. Everything was cheap. You could go there for a quick purchase of the jeans you just tore to shreds while training to ride a motorcycle. Not any more. Prices are sometimes as high as at Macy's! Really? If that's so, I'd rather go to Macy's. Their 30-50% off sale is a joke as well. A plastic suction soap dish (originally $4.99) was $3.49 (gasp) on sale. It should cost $.99 as far as I am concerned. Not impressed. All the advertising I saw on TV for their great fashions, all BS. I wouldn't recommend my Grandma wear any of that! Not coming back to Kohl's. It's a curse... P.S.
