While this isn't Severna Parks issue, this is where we shop and I couldn't find another place to post it. I am completely in shock. My mom received $20 in kohls cash for being a valued credit card holder for 20 years. I went to use it today and it said zero balance. They looked it up and it was used in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We live in Maryland. My mom broke her ankle on Father's Day and hasn't been to kohls .. and we definitely haven't been to Arkansas! Someone used our kohls cash (or maybe two were issued with the same barcode?) and kohls customer service basically says "too bad." It can't be reissued. You can tell we didn't use it. I cannot believe this. My mom might, because she's too nice.. but I will never shop there again. read more

Nice Associates and selection of clothing and household items. Can't beat their sales.

Three stars is a stretch but it's better than having an empty box store sitting in Severna Park. The one time we shopped there, we did get some good deals on lower quality name brands clothes. Some good prices on sheets for the parents bed, but the line was super long at the cash register section at one end of the store. The other side of empty cash registers were not being used. My brother who lives near here, absolutely loves it. read more

What a great store, the staff is always friendly and things are pretty organized. It was hard to find a staff member to ask question while in the men's section, but as soon as I found her she knew exactly what I wanted and took me directly to it. ****The hidden gem (for guys at least) is the extremely clean bathrooms. Wow it looked as if they were just built. Very clean and well supplied. Way to go Kohl's! read more

Consider the online order pickup convenience a thing of the past, thanks to Kohl's moving In-store Pickup from the customer service desk to the front checkout line! What was once a hassle free pickup, is now a nightmare due to no associates being present at the In-store Pickup spot. On multiple occasions, I find myself with 3 or more customers confused as to who would scan our barcode and frustrated that there is absolutely no one to help us. The only option was to wait in the 20 person long checkout line in order to reach an associate. The In-store Pickup used to be at the customer service desk in the back, where there was always an associate to assist you. No, I don't have a 4 digit self-pickup pass, I have a barcode to scan but it would've helped is Kohl's made all the pickups with the pass because who has time to wait in line for assistance? Due to this reoccurring inconvenience, I will no longer be a customer. read more

Bottom Line: Great values but you might have to do a little digging to find what you need. There is no denying that Kohl's has great prices. Add a few coupons and Kohl's Cash to the mix and you can come out of here with some awesome deals. What I also like about Kohl's is that they carry name brands, typically its not the best line of the name brands, but they are still familiar names and you can gauge the quality. I tend to peruse the entire store when I am here but I'm most likely to leave with Fiestaware, children's pajamas and some new accessories for myself. Admittedly this store can be a hot mess so you might have to do some digging to find what you are looking for. If you are a casual shopper, no sweat. If you are on a mission, it can certainly be frustrating. read more

Cost of purchase: $200 Time of Purchase: 9:59 p.m. Time of Closing: 10:00 p.m. Not being allowed to use the restroom on the way out: Priceless. Last night, I was in the fitting room when they announced they were closing, which was barely audible (I only knew they were closing because I heard a mother standing outside the fitting room relay it to her son). I had to use the restroom (#1) before I left, so I made my way to the back of the store where the restroom and customer service section is. I figured I could make my purchase (which they've done at this register before), use the bathroom right next to it, and be on my way out. There was a lady at the register not doing anything, just standing there waiting as if her register was open. But as I approached the counter, she glared at me like I was doing something outrageous. When I greeted her and placed my clothes on the counter, she said, "Uhhh, my register is closed." Her tone was as if I should've known beforehand, like I should've read her mind or something. I said OK and asked if it was alright if I left my clothes at the counter while I used the restroom (since taking unpaid merchandise in the bathroom is prohibited). "No!", she exclaimed. "You need to head up front now! You'll miss it...literally." As I was walking away, she did offer to hold my clothes so I can pick it up the next day and complete the purchase, which I found odd (by the time she bagged/stored my clothes and jotted down my information, couldn't she have just made my purchase?). I thanked her, but declined and rushed up to the front. When I made it up to the front, there was one register open, and the cashier was a bit friendlier. However, when the purchase was done, I asked if it was ok if I could use the restroom "real quick" and she says, "we're closed." "Sooo, you guys are totally shut down?", I asked in amazement since this couldn't have been much later than 10:00 p.m. (my receipt shows 9:59 p.m.). "We're closed", she repeated. I could understand this if I had just walked in at the last minute asking to use the restroom with no intent to buy anything, but I was already a paying customer on my way out. Usually, Kohl's staff is friendly and accommodating (which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1), so this kind of treatment is surprising to say the least. I run hot and cold on Kohl's. I will say that I usually do better at the Quarterfield Rd location because this one tends to be more disorganized and not as well stocked as the other local Kohl's. Also, I've found at this location, the staff isn't nearly as friendly. I don't come here much-- only when I have a great coupon and really need something... but the location is prime, so that is attractive. read more

This is a really nice store. Kohl's has great items to choose from, and they have really great prices as well. The store is really big, and this is also one of the store's problems. It does not have a big enough staff to fill the store. There are several registers, but there is usually only one register being used. It is rare to see a staffer that is available to assist with questions. Whenever I come to this store, I am prepared to find things on my own, and I know there will probably be a long wait for checking out. read more

Typically a very loyal costumer. We received Apple watches for Christmas that had been paired with a costumers phone who had returned them. The watches both have access locks bc Kohl's didn't unpair them. We complained to a Kohl's manager and he was extremely rude and was not apologetic for THEIR mistake. I went to Kohl's today to spend my Kohl's Cash before it expired and found everything nicely because the store itself is great. But my problem is this cashier. Her name is Cathy and she could not be any more rude than she was towards us. I was with my mom and my 2 year old sister and she was getting impatient since it was getting closer to her nap time. Maybe she has something towards Asians or she was just having a bad day but she did not seem pleased to be there or to see us. (We have never met before.) So we went a long to pay for what we were buying and payed with $20 cash and exact change. (Mind that our total was $4.24.) So she went along to mark the bill and put it in the cash register. Then she gave us $1 and closed the register. We were dumbfounded. My mom told her that she gave $20 to her and she didn't believe us because she said that she forgot. It had only been like 10 seconds! It was ok for us to wait a couple of minutes so they could check the security but 1 minute turned to 2, then 5. My sister was running all over the place now and we were trying to gain control of her. So my mom asked how much longer it would take and the lady just got so irritated and not nice at all. The problem was not that she forgot the amount we gave her but that she thought it was our fault that she gave us the wrong change. And put all the blame on us while trying to act all privileged and collected. Thank you to the manager who believed us and fixed the problem -although she was not very nice to us. My wife is always here for something but now it's my turn. I needed a couple more pair of jeans and Kohl's has some pretty good deals, plus my wife had coupons. Went to the jean section and noticed that jeans were laying everywhere, they were all over the place. In the wrong spots, just piled up on the shelves and draped over everything. It's like a mini tornado came through the place. I tried to look for my size so instead of looking where my size of jeans is usually at I had to dig through piles of jeans and other kinds of pants to find my size. Well of course I couldn't find any my size and as I was digging around an employee asked if I needed assistance, being frustrated at this point I said yes and told her what size I needed. Well neither of us found anything in my size and I sure wasn't going to dig around the other piles of jeans they had. I just looked for my wife in Kohl's and said I give up and I'm ready to go. The employees are very friendly and helpful but it's hard trying to look for something when the clothes are spread everywhere. It wasn't just the jeans that was a wreck, pretty much the entire store was like this. From now on I'm just going to order my stuff online and save my gas. 3 Stars because of the employees. read more

This is the most unorganized wreck of a store! I have never been in such a horrible Kohls. The employees looked right at me and said nothing. I walked past a supervisor yelling at an employee. This lady was heavy set with dark hair and her name is Kim. She was literally talking to this employee in a manner that you shouldn't even speak to your worst enemy in. I felt terrible for that poor employee she looked like she wanted to cry :( I feel as though this woman (Kim) needs to be dismissed from Kolhs period. I will not shop there and will be sure to make everyone aware of the employees that Kohls in Severna Park have working for them until something is done about this situation! read more

I have always enjoyed shopping at the Severna Park Kohl's because they generally offer a hassle free experience and always have great deals. They proved themselves to be an exceptional store to me on Christmas Eve though. When my 4 year old daughter was separated from me and couldn't find her way back, every employee in the store, manager included, stepped up and helped me find her quickly and with as little turmoil as possible. I am extremely grateful to all of them! The employees at this store went above and beyond their customer service responsibilities! read more
