Going into Kohl's to the sephora section the environment in there was very positive. Cammie was a huge help with everything. she's super nice, she helped me find the right look and the right shade that matches my skin tone and she was very patient as well when it came to me being indecisive with my options. she was also helpful with answering any questions I had. Kohl's is a hit or miss for me. Sometimes I have luck and other times I strike out. Today, I lucked out and found what I needed and a big bonus - the store was actually clean! Many times I've gone to Kohl's and it was so messy that it was impossible to find what I needed so I left. I appreciate the free WiFi and I checked my Kohl's app and I had a coupon, too. I came across an employee stocking items and she was very nice and friendly. At checkout, the cashier was also very nice and she didn't harass me to get a Kohl's credit card, which I greatly appreciated. In the past, at this location, I was pressured by a cashier to sign up - I didn't give in. Anyway, pleasant experience today and store was really clean and organized. Just popped in to use the 40% off coupon that was sent to my email today. The cashier said it had already been redeemed. I told her I didn't use it nor had I even been in the store in months. I asked if I went to the customer service department if they'd be able to tell me when it was used. She said no, but gave me 30% off. Not sure how they were able to "see" the coupon was used but couldn't "see" when or where. Also saw some jelly belly bags that I would have purchased had they been priced. Someone went to the trouble of putting an electronic sign up that said Priced as Marked but alas, no prices, not marked and consequently not sold. read more

On a price scale, Kohl's is a notch above TJ Maxx or Marshalls. They have better quality stuff, and more of it, so maybe that's why. Kohl's has a large selection of clothing for women, men and kids, shoes, purses, jewelry, home furnishings, some local college gear, and kitchen stuff. I found a piece of cooking stoneware on sale on my most recent trip here, and it's about the only local place where I can find at least *some* clothing for my 6'5" tall dad for his birthday and Christmas. I usually get some of my purses here. I like this particular location because it's in a non-busy shopping area at the corner of Falls of Neuse & Durant Roads in north Raleigh. read more

Kohl's is an old standby for me when I need a quick gift, or home item and I don't have a lot of time. I can usually find just about anything I need here. I often shop at the Kohl's on the corner of Durant and Falls since it is on my way home. My issue with Kohl's is the pushy staff re: credit cards. I noticed several others touching on this issue in other Yelp reviews. I am almost positive that the staff is either compensated on their credit card approvals or perhaps they are measured on how many they are able to obtain because they are VERY pushy about it when I pay. I started lying to the staff, telling them each time that I had one, but I just wasn't going to use it to get them off of my back, but then they started being pushy about not using it. I finally started threatening that I wouldn't even buy the item I was paying for if they continued asking. My visit this past week was, seriously, over the top about the card. I have to say that I probably will steer clear of Kohl's, unless I am desperate for an item and need something quick. I had the worst customer service experience, not once but 3 times today. First, I spent 15 minutes waiting for someone to answer the phone. When someone finally did they didn't seem to understand my problem. It went something like this: Me- I ordered a desk that is supposed to come in 2 boxes. I only rec'd one box. Kohls- (after the standard 'so sorry. I can help you') It appears your item arrived yesterday at 3 pm. Me- Yes. One box did, but its one of two boxes Kohls- You only ordered one item Me- Yes its a desk. The box says "box 1 of 2". It is one item, in two boxes. I have half a desk. Kohls- I see. Do you have the tracking number? Me- *gives number* UPS.... Kohls-The tracking information says this package was delivered. Me- Only part of it was Kohls- What would you like me to do? Me- I don't really care. Send me the second box. Redo the order. It doesn't matter. I'd just like my desk Kohls- Did you try calling the post office? Me- Why would i call the post office? and no....I called you....the shipping department. Kohls- I see. I have filed a ticket. Someone will email you within 7 days Me- that isn't acceptable. I don't want to wait for an email in 7 days Kohls- thats just an average Me- Then that's worse! I don't want to wait a week to resolve this Kohls- I see and I understand. It probably won't take that long. ***** Not satisfied I got on chat with someone else. Let me just give you a tidbit of his helpful advice: Chris B: Thank you for the information. This is your average Kohl's store. The store is clean and depending on when you hit the fitting room, they are kept as clean as can be. Not sure why customers can't return what they don't want to the racks at the front of the fitting rooms... Customer service is quick and since they take back everything, you never get asked any questions about your return which is kind of nice. Also, be sure to NEVER pay full price for anything in the store...they are ALWAYS having some sort of sale and you can always get at least 15% off your purchase. read more

I love shopping at kohl's and never encounter any issues until today. Worst customer service ever! I came with a friend to do our holiday shopping when i came across a very unhappy cashier. She is very rough when checking out our toys. When she drop an item on the floor due to her roughness she never apologize as I'm picking it up for her. My friend and i, of course have separate order which we were very clear when it comes to checking out. As my friend trying to get her to scan a coupon that she have on her phone the cashier just rudely said " what's this?". We both look at each other... shock as how rude this cashier been. Credit card solicitation is always something I've thought should be done with the utmost respect towards the customer. Apparently this Kohl's does not agree with me. The last time I went to Kohl's a few days ago, I was basically filibustered about signing up for the credit card. I had literally a pair of pants I was trying to buy for work but the employee would not give up and kept pushing about the credit card. I said no. She persisted. I eventually told her "you know what? I don't want these anymore" and just left the store. I work retail myself and to me this behavior is horrendous. It shows absolutely no respect for the customer and her condescending tone when I was declining made me realize the kind of business Kohl's is running. I go to this Kohl's fairly regularly and I think its safe to say that its an average Kohl's. They keep the dressing rooms clean, bathrooms clean, and overall the store is in good shape. Actually, they recently remodeled the store and the layout was improved upon. I would say the customer service is pretty good. Occasionally, I have been shopping and heard some of the staff complaining about schedules and what not but that's really the only thing I've noticed. read more

I finally see why this place is rate 2.5 star. They need better employees. No one seems to care if you're standing in the line, because they have more important things to do than ringing up customers. When you ask if there is any cashier they seem to answer with an attitude, like I'm suppose to know they are ringing up at the online pick up instead of the regular checkouts. Please people y'all are getting paid for working it's not free and serve with the right attitude, come on now. I've been a supervisor at a retail store before so I know what y'all day are like but still, don't treat others based on someone else's attitude. I think it's great that Kohl's now offers Amazon returns, however when they don't have a line dedicated to Amazon it's a problem for someone trying to return a Kohls purchase! I got in the line about 6 people in front of me with one person working. I then realized that pretty much everyone else in the line had Amazon returns. When I finally made it to the front of the line and told the team member that I waited in the line behind non Kohl's customers she said that they would for another line when Christmas was closer! I work not far from Kohl's though I've never shopped there. Seeing a sales flyer with my favorite brand of dress shirt thought I'd go up at lunch and pick up a few. Holy Smoke.....How do you find anything in this store? I've seen Goodwill that were more organized. The next time I need a 36D Bra along with my 16/33 Dress Shirt I'll know where to go. Kohls, as always, even on a slow day, the brands are mixed together. The clearance racks are as many as the newer arrivals. The fitting rooms are dirty w dust & dirt on floors & chairs. To top it off, they "aren't providing gift boxes this year." What does Kohls provide? Some of their styles are nice, but without the coupons even the prices aren't great for the quality you get in most of the brands they carry. This Kohl's has a brilliant strategy to sell you their store credit card: Shame customers. I went through the checkout. The lady asked me if I had a Kohl's card. I replied that I didn't. She stopped what she was doing and said, "Why not?" in a very confrontational way. "Don't you like us?" she added. Not kidding -- she stood glaring at me for 5 seconds before ordering me to swipe my credit card and proceed. Great way to get customers excited about your company credit card! Today I had the worst customer service ever. I went to the store and was explaining to the lady at the customer service that the shoes that my hushand order in the store were too small and I would like to exchange them. She tells me I can do this at home and did not need to come in the store. I said well since I am here can we do it in the store. Then she said do u know if we have that size. I said can u check.
