This is a hit or miss store. The service one time can be great the next you can't find an associate to save your soul. The store can look like a tornado went through with clothes piled high in the dressing room. The overall appearance is kinda trashed most of the time. Like no one cares. I don't typically shop at Kohl's, usually I'm in there to return Amazon products. This particular visit made me actually have a look around and it was because of the best customer service I've experienced in a very long time! Sadly it seems that customer service has become non-existent, but not today... When I was making my return of an Amazon product, the young lady assisting me was not only warm and friendly, but she took the time to assist my elderly mother with her return in a way that was kind and generous with her time; assisting my mother with finding the proper return label and while remaining cheerful and friendly. Amazon returns here are not ADA friendly. Plenty of handicap parking so they get one extra star. Customer service right up front, but if you have to do an Amazon return you have to walk all the way to the back of the store. The Amazon return station is very clearly mobile so it could be closer, or even up front. They do not actively offer assistance to those that need it, so be ready to walk or find someone to do the return for you. Once you do your return, you get an oversized "receipt" that is really just an ad/coupon to use at kohls and the tiny 1/8th at the bottom is the actual return receipt. Worst experience ever, drove quite a distance to use a $5 anniversary gift coupon and had the least helpful cashier ever. Her name is Aileen and she was doing everything in her power to not accept my coupon. Unknowingly, the sweatshirt I selected was on their "excluded" list so I asked if she could ask her manager to see if they could make an exception this one time because of the distance I drove. Aileen proceeded to tell the manager the item was "clearance", "excluded" and that she "doesn't think they shouldn't make an exception". Despite her efforts to convince her manager not to take my coupon the manager says she would make the exception. The manager comes over to manually enter the coupon and Aileen repeatedly says we "shouldn't be taking this coupon". After 15 minutes the incompetent manager couldn't figure out how to put in a manual coupon (was was a complete LIE) . So says it won't work and they coupon can't be honored AFTER she said she would take it. I'm not hurting for money so badly that I need a $5 coupon to be accepted, it was just flabbergasting how much Aileen did not want the coupon to be honored and how they could go back on their word after promising to make an exception and accept my coupon. Kohl's has become sly with their coupons and they aren't what they once were. They're always empty and can't sell anything because everything is horribly overpriced. I will never go here or any other Kohl's again and I advise you to do the same. read more

I love Kohl's! The store is never too busy, always has staff at the registers and has an amazing product selection. I habitually check the flyers that come in the mail! 50-60% off sales happen regularly on specified days and on many cases you get Kohl's dollars! Kohl's dollars are awesome. They are credits you get towards your next purchase; for example a couple weeks ago, I spent $150 on cold weather boots and a coat and for every $50 I got a $10 Kohl's Cash. It was $30 towards my next purchase ON TOP OF the 50% savings that day and was able to get two pairs of $30 gloves for free! Heads up though: If you are doing returns and you received Kohl's ca$h from that sale, it will reduce your Kohl's ca$h amount accordingly. However, if you choose to take merchandise credit instead of credit back to your credit card, you get to keep that Kohl's ca$h (the full amount)! read more

Our family loves Kohl's! It's one of our go to places! Especially for a quick gift! It sits in a great location and they also have ample parking! Customer service is usually okay. I prefer a chatty cashier, usually I don't even get a "how are you today". But this one particular time I was in a hurry, stopped in real quick to pick up two backpacks they had on sale for my kiddos! A cashier which seemed to some sort of leader, opened a lane for me real quick, let me use a coupon I didn't have on me that save me over 30 bucks! What great customer service! Hopefully she sticks around and rubs off on some of the other staff. I'm usually really good at catching names for my reviews because I love giving people recognition but I was in such a hurry I totally spaced! Kohl's- love your products and choices! UNACCEPTABLE customer service! I stood in line for five minutes to return an item, only to be told by the male cashier handling the "return line" that an online customer, who had just walked in, would be helped first. And he did just that. Apparently this is store policy now. You will be skipped, dismissed, mistreated, overlooked and nullified because others are the priority. Well a customer is a customer!! I purchased an ugg blanket and when I got home it had some spots that weren't sewn right. When I went to return the blanket the cashier and manager were very helpful in helping me get my kohls cash back to purchase a different blanket. They even price matched it for me since I drove so far. I love this store. read more

The assistant manager here, BIRI is very rude. Unbelievable that she is an assistant manager. We came up to her and asked if we can do two different transaction and she literally went ... " UGH!" and placed her head down on our items as if she was so stressed for a few seconds I understand it's the holidays and she's probably overwhelmed with the holiday shoppers but wow!! We were SOOO embarassed!!! 12/22/18 12:00pm Her saying " no , we can't do two different transactions" ( even though we are two different customers) would have been fine. But her reaction was very unnecessary and not to mention absolutely embarrassing when there is so many people in line behind us watching. We probably don't need to mention this, but we spent a good amount of money. This customer service was provided by their ASSISTANT MANAGER ... can't believe it. She literally said " UGHH!! Rude employees and Supervisor in the Amazon Returns Department! (all the other employees were nice) I'm a regular Amazon buyer so I know the drill about returning stuff via UPS.  I decided to take some after Christmas returns back to Kohl's instead of  UPS since I wouldn't have to box them up.  I also wanted to do some shopping. The Puyallup WA South Hill Kohl's store is where I went...and what a DISASTER!  First, one must understand that Amazon allows multiple items to be returned together in one box with ONE scan code for the entire box, not each item. If I was to print up the return to send off to UPS, the packing invoice/return slip would list each item I was returning and give it one scan code for the group of items. ​So to make it easy I separated the returns into their prospective boxes, which ended up being 5 boxes with one return code each.  A total of  5 scan codes - one per box. Got it? I hauled all my returns back to the Amazon Return area and when the Kohl's employee scanned the code, only ONE item came up on their screen....so he asked for that one item and was ready to move on to the next box......Huh?  The box had 12 items in it but he was only asking for one?  I wanted to be sure I got a receipt for those  items before I left the store.   Since the guy scanning in the returns was obviously new, he asked a younger blonde female with glasses about it.  She informed me that Amazon assigns a return code for each item so I was missing all those codes. When I disagreed she got defensive and NASTY, rolling her eyes and acting childish.   Then I provided an invoice which I had printed off just in case something went wrong.  It showed ONE scan code for 12 items.....Then she said, "well, maybe a few items but we're just not used to someone bringing back so many returns"....I don't like BS and she was giving me a pile of it with a horrid attitude to go along with it.  She threw up her hands and snapped "Do you want me to get a manager?" So the dept. supervisor came out and had an equally nasty attitude, so I know where the employees must get it. She was about 60 years old with gray-brown hair and glasses. I told her I just wanted proof of what I was dropping off...and she went on a rant about how they were just doing Amazon a favor and that they aren't Amazon employees!   She said what I was asking for was impossible - and a line of people had formed behind me so I just wanted to get out of there.   So I cut my losses and left without knowing what was going to be credited and what was lost in the shuffle.  I still had 2 boxes to return but considering I was returning over $700 worth of merchandise, I decided to take the last 2 boxes back home to send back via UPS.. I do want to mention that the guy who helped my son and I cart the returns back to the Amazon area, the store greeter and all of the other Kohl's employees were wonderful and had excellent customer service skills - it was just the Kohl's employees running the Amazon return area, including their manager who were not only unhelpful, but rude, defensive,  hostile.... not what you would expect in a store like Kohl's. read more

I really like this Kohls store I have always had great customer service and no problems with their products. The only reason why they are not getting 5 stars is because they have a incredibly small plus size section and no plus size active wear. When I asked a cashier just to be sure I didnt miss anything she asked a manager who came over and told me I would have to order online. The only thing that bugged me about that is now I have to pay for shipping. I know alot of other retail stores do free site to store shipping for items not in stock or carried. My son is extremely Autistic. He's in a group/care home. I thought it would be nice to be bundled up this year (2021) so we bought him flannel shirts advertised as a cotton/polyester mix. He's extremely tall and wide too boot (6'4") so we didn't want any shrinkage what so ever. Even his own care home mixes up peoples clothes and doesn't purchase the clients clothes of their own (young men and women alike) so we wanted these shirts to be designated to our disabled son alone within the so expensive facility. Sure enough we received the shirts full blown 100% cotton. Not 50/50 as advertised. I'm sure they'll shrink on him thus possibly looking awful in public while the public already disrespects him as being disabled. I have to personally remember this site in regards to not buying anything again. They evidently don't care about disabled folks nor their parents as well. I'm being nice when I say this but just flippen ridiculous. Not all of us are regular high end folk we're just plain folks for whom you show absolutely no respect. Oh good grief. Bought a tv with my siblings for Black Friday for my dad for Christmas. Open it on Christmas and it doesn't work and the receipt is in another state and we paid cash for it and now this store won't exchange it for a working tv says we have until the 31st to get the original receipt that's now across the country. What a joke. Sell us a broken tv and now it doesn't work and won't even exchange it and the guy in the home department that I talked to just told me I'm not his problem and maybe I should have been smarter when purchasing a tv as a gift. This location is the most convenient for me, however, I do not enjoy going here! The customer service during ALL my visits have been unsatisfactory. My online orders are usually satisfactory, but, my last order was disappointing as items weren't packaged well, so items arrived damaged. I had a stressful and maddening experience at this Kohl's. I did some holiday shopping there yesterday and they neglected to put 3 out of the 5 items I bought, into my bag. When I realized the error, I called and explained the situation and was told to bring my receipt back and collect my items. I am a fan of Kohl's. I can always find good deals and clothes my size. It is a bit out of the way, but worth the drive to get nice clothes at decent prices. Huge store! They should have a snack bar! Great bargains, don't go unless you have time! Biggest problem I have is the store is not arranged by items. It is by designer. When you think you found the right pair of jeans or purse, you might come across something you like more on the other side of the store. So aside from that and lack of snack bar or beverage ( because it takes forever to get through the whole store ) it is an awesome place to shop. I would give zero stars if i could. I have been told numerous times that kohls has a non hassle return policy... It has been the biggest hassle I have ever had. I have a receipt saying I will get 160 back as a corporate refund and I ended up with a 90 dollar gift card in the mail instead of my 160. Kohls returns is horrible! I returned an item, didn't get back what I thought. So I called and they said if I came back the same day they can void the return and get the pants back instead of the 3$ I got back. Drove all the way back just to have them say they can't do it. Had to call corporate to complain. Have to wait a week for them to get back to me. Such a hassle and a waste of gas. I literally returned it 10 min go with the pants sitting right next to her and they said if I want the pants I'd have to pay 15$ instead of just voiding the 3$ return and getting my pants back. Felt like either they thought I wasn't gunna come back the same day or trying to scam me into buying them again when I came back in. Hopefully corporate steps in and does something! read more

I really do love this stores products and deals and Im happy to finally have one near me. However, I too HATE coming here, because the employees follow you around to the point where your uncomfortable. First time I went in here, there were 3 manequins on top of a clothing "rack" and all three had really cute shoes on, I asked 2 girls where I could find those shirts in the store and they said "I don't know, I think those are the last ones" No double checking, no asking me if I wanted them taken off. So I just ended up buying a pair of shoes for $14.00 and leaving. Also, this store is uncomfortably hot. The second time, I was in perfume/cosmetics and my mom was there to pay $100 towards her kohls card, I asked the guy where a certain perfume was and after that he followed and watched me around the whole department! I didn't even have a purse! Then I went to look at the juicy couture clothes and a lady did the same thing. It was my birthday my mom would have bought me anything but instead I told her lets get the hell out of here!!!! read more

Went into Kohl's to buy a shirt I saw online and found it easily. Had to get it down myself with the hook since no associate could be found. Decided to go check out stuff for my kitchen and found a 4 piece set of bowls from food network that was 50% off of $26.99. I then noticed that the price under the $26.99 tag said $24.99, I asked the cashier if I could get the 50% off the $24.99 price and she said no. I then asked to speak to a manager (Julie) and asked the same question if I could get the 50% off of $24.99 and she said no. I asked her why is it that kohl's marks up prices, she said food network told them to. So I asked so you guys mark up before you put items on sale then because the manufacturer says to. This isn't the first time this has happened. I've noticed multiple items with lower prices under their tags, they even use black sharpies on the older prices before they place the new tags so they won't have customers questioning them. I've done some looking online and it's not just this location. Do the research and see for yourselves. Never will I be going back except to return the previous items I have purchased from them over the year. Thank god I save receipts. That's the only good thing about this place is their return policy which is why they get the one star. read more

Stood at the jewelry counter for over 30 minutes have the manager walked by three times knowledge me and say she would be right with me the lady that was behind the counter was helping everybody but me she actually left the jewelry department to go over and help somebody find a shirt . They walked up and asked and she just walked away even though I had been standing there . 3 other couples walked away and didn't end up seeing what they wanted to see in the case . On the managers 4 th time by I asked her if she was the manager she said yes I told her my issues and that they have soooo many stands on top of the cases that she probably couldn't see who was next and she said they will be with you as soon as they can and as she walked away said have a happy holiday with attitude! I was sooo pissed I left without using the 85.00 in kohls dollars I earned on Black Friday when I spent over 500.00 at this place ! Won't get my 500.00 this time or ever again !!! read more
