April 06, 2015 I called Kohl's to speak to manager Christina about a coupon I got that expired on April 05, 2015 which was Easter. I called the store on Easter store was closed she would not honor coupon. WHY PRINT SOMETHING THAT EXPIRES ON A HOLIDAY or A DAY THE STORE IS CLOSED. She's not nice and Just Rude! I asked for district managers number she gives me the wrong number and left me on hold for almost 10 minutes. All associates hate their life or maybe just their job, reflected on their faces. Just at this location though, I LOVE Kohls as a brand/store whatever...this location is terrible. Went in for returns, the associate asked if we wore clothing, let her know we tried them on but did not wear since we ended up choosing different outfits for our family photo. Associate proceeded to smell yes SMELL the clothing and not like oh discreetly..she literally put her nose all up in it...the oddest interaction I've ever had. She looked at me with pure disgust for no reason whatsoever during the whole transaction. Seemed even more upset to be helping me and others who were ahead of me in line. This is my favorite location to shop. I am always greeted with an Hello from their friendly employees whether I'm shopping early morning or late night. Love to browse through the clearance sections. I always shop with a coupon. The Kohl's credit and app is the best. You can always find exclusive coupons there. The website and app is very user friendly too. One tip, if you do your Amazon return there, they always give you a coupon with your return receipt and you use it with out having a Kohl's credit card. I've been shopping here for 12+ years. You can find good deals at kohls, pretty similar to a sears. Service is good and the floor people are real helpful. Actually it reminds me of Mervyn's. I probably won't come back due to lack of selection and brands they carry. This location is sort of out the way and in the commercial side of the neighborhood also. read more

Tried to return boots with zippers that were faulty. Took 45 minutes at 6:30pm with one girl at the customer service desk and one woman returning 3 different online orders. 4 different employees walked by at least twice, not a single one acknowledged the line. There was even an announcement for people checking out "No wait at men's! You can pay here!" while the return line grew. At least 4 others were behind me and 2 in front. The girl at the front apologized for the wait so I don't blame her, she was super sweet. But as for the other employees who did do jack squat about the line, horrible customer service. read more

I walked into the store looked at the men's cloths for 10 moons the. I had to go to the bathroom. The small stall was occupied so I went into he big one. I noticed that there is a big crack between the door and the stall frame. So when a guy came in and treys to open both stall and when he did that he starred through the crack to see what I was doing. He then went over to take a pee. He then walked over to the very last sink and looked in the crack again. I was like what is wrong with this guy. But then I got out did more shopping then I saw the guy walk into there employees room. It had to be their lost prevent person. Just trying to do my part to bring this business down. I HATE Kohls!!!!! Why haven't people figured out how manipulating this company is. They sell lower quality merchandise. They then inflate their prices and slap sales stickers on everything and offer coupons to credit card holder consumers to make you think you got an ingrediable deal. You might of bought some items at bargain prices but most of the time, the final price of the merchandise is what there normal retail price should be. And let us not forget that in order to get that "bargain" price, you had to use a credit card in which they mail out only a few weeks before it is due. It can be extremely easy to forget to pay. If you forget to pay in time, you then have to eat not only the interest of the balance but a fee of $25.00. Isn't it weird too that if you go into the store in person to pay your bill and you don't have your bill on you, they can't tell you the balance of what you owe? Seems a little ridiculous that they can't obtain that information but they are able to use your drivers license to look up an inactive credit card account and immediately activate it for you. I used to love Kolhs and shop here a lot but I alwayed used coupons and my Kohls credit card to get the best deal. Then I would diligently go straight to customer service and pay off my credit card purchase I just made. Now I'm older, I have more things to juggle in life and this place is a headache to try and get a "deal" a.k.a normal retail price. I will never shop at any kohls again! read more

Nice large store great prices and lots of parking. I will now stay away bc of poor customer service with kohls. Made a $100 cash purchase and $20 gift card. When I went to return $40 worth of merchandise they said they could only put so much on my CC. It's my money! Of course I want it back on my cc not a gift card! I am a victim of a incorrect credit transaction that has happened because of in experienced cashier. Now that it is clearly known that it was there mistake they are not willing to settle this and was instead asked me to reach to the local loss prevention team which I have been trying for past 2 months. I in fact opened a police complaint but due to their unavailability they are not willing to take the case as well. I had a terrible experience here when I went in to purchase some clothes last night. I literally spent about 15 or 20 minutes at the register because the cashier, who I'm guessing was new, had no idea what she was doing. One of my tops wasn't scanning properly and it was clear she did not know how to fix the problem. To make things even more ridculous, she had my friend and I read off the numbers on the tag to her because she couldn't make them out. She called another sales person over to help out. She, too, didn't seem to know how to enter in the numbers on the tag. So, they called over another sales person and she was able to solve the problem within a few seconds. Finally, the numbers went through. But when the cashier went to insert my Kohl's cash into the receipt machine, it jammed. She kept saying that she didn't know what happened. It was just a ridiculous experience. read more

Angelia at this location is very rude. She didn't even listen. She was so into talking she wasn't listening to what we were trying to tell her. Kept going around & round. She had a bad attitude. Not impressed. She didn't even take the alarms off our stuff so we had to turn around & go back. Terrible service. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Such a problem. She made it seem inconvenient to use our rewards & was to lazy to go back & redo the transaction. Also, wouldn't help us find our account number to use online & made it seem too hard to ask her coworkers for help or the answer to our question. Bad vibes. read more

I will never shop at Kohl's since the hassle free return is not true. They never said the item I purchased would have to be returned in 30 days. When I tried to return only 6 weeks after purchase, they wouldn't return & both sales associates couldn't find the statement regarding electronics purchase on my receipt. I purchased this as a gift & as usual early. They both could see that it was never opened & in the original placement in the box. Really, you would loose customers for this price, no wonder retail is in jeopardy! Disgusted!!! read more

Kohls how I love you. There is always a sale going on! This is a great place to find clothes and many other household supplies. They also have a huge selection of shoes as well. They are constantly giving out great coupons sometimes even free 10 dollars no strings attached or minimum purchase necessary. That is actually genius marketing because no one every comes in to spend just 10 dollars. They also often give out kohls cash that is limited to another week away to draw you back into the store. read more

I love this Kohl's and have more fun here with family and friends than I've ever had in a dept. store. Super friendly staff! Large clean dressing rooms. They are finally carrying petites-yay!- and I am more attracted to their junk jewelry than my own real gold and silver. I have a Kohl's card and get coupons and offers regularly. All I have to say about this place is wow. They really know how to ruin the customer experience. First off I went in on my lunch break to pick something up. My trip should have been quick in and out but my experience was off the chart bad. When you are ready to check out the signs are so miss leading. Oneside says exit and the other days wait here for open register. So depending on the direction you are coming from you read something completely different. I happened to become from the young men's section so the sign I read said wait here. So I waited a cashier became available and unavailable at the same time (break) no problem went back to the spot I was and I encountered the rudest old lady known to man because she pointed out I was standing in the wrong place and wouldn't let me back in the line. I'll start with the negative first. We purchased at least $400 worth of items at Black Friday, 2012. We never received 3 rebates totallying $40. I called Kohl's in March and they said they had a backlog of rebates being processed. Waiting 4 months for a rebate is WAY too long. I gave up on waiting and realize that during the next big sale I will NEVER rely on a Koh's rebate as part of the purchase price since it most likely will not arrive. On a positive note, the Black Friday sale is still really good. During the rest of the year there are on-going sales. Just get on a mailing list and you will have coupons sent to you via email or regular mail. I don't like all of Koh's products. My teenagers won't shop there for example. But bath, kitchen and household products are reasonably priced and less than Macy's for example. I can often find inexpensive workout clothes there too. Lastly, the employees are always very helpful and friendly. read more

This location has been hit and miss in regards to customer service. However in the past several months it has been consistently great. My recent visit yesterday, the cashier Kathy was fast, efficient and helpful especially with discounts and coupons. The store is also big,clean and organized. The customer is not right in this situation. Was shopping for back to school for college age son and stumbled on a deal that was obvious to good to be true. The sign was Buy 1 get 1/2 off second. The suit was on sale so the total price for pant and jacket was 149.00. Figured I get the second one for 1/2 off or 75.00 and my son is taken care of for job interviews. When I get to cashier the price rings up on sale but no 1/2 off discount. Cashier tries to explain it was discounted if I had paid full price. I understood her logic BUT not what sign read. Another cashier went to check on sign and before she returned Manager (I Assume) states it's already discounted and he won't do anything. Someone mistakenly place sign in section not his fault. I like Kohls they are always having some special sale going on. I buy my shoes for work here. They have a pretty decent selection. I also get shirts and pants here as well. It is not to far away from where I work so it is easy for me to stop by at lunch time. The store is pretty empty then. I have not been here on a Sat so I really can say how crowded it is then. The parking is never a problem the have plenty of parking spaces and the best thing is that it is next to In N Out burgers so I can grab a quick lunch after shopping here. read more

Let me first start off by saying that I had the worst customer experience I have had in a while while shopping at Kohl's. This is one of the reasons why I don't typically buy clothes from stores like Kohl's I will spend more money to be treated fairly and to help me find solutions when problems arise. I was given a shirt for Christmas that just didn't fit me so I wanted to go and exchange it for a different size or get the money returned on a gift card so I can purchase something else. I could not find the same shirt in a different size because the shirt supposedly only comes in XL and S (which I found odd) I then went to customer service to tell them about the problem and they said they can only return five dollars to me on a gift card when the shirt is $55, i'm not sure what you guys would call it but in my world that's called stealing. I was then told that I cannot exchange the shirt for anything that doesn't equal $55 exactly which is rather difficult since they didn't have many nice shirts in a L. I brought back to different style shirts that equal to $60 and I told them I would just pay the difference since the exchange would cover $55 of it they told me that was impossible. I was also told that if I bring a shirt that is for example $40 I can exchange it for the $55 shirt but I wouldn't get the difference of the $15 on a gift card so once again we would be stolen from. One of the ladies in the customer service department was rather difficult and rude. The whole return and exchange process is garbage and should be looked at again by corporate. I can tell you one thing I will never shop there although I usually wouldn't but now I have a reason to tell others to not waste their time or money. I am extremely satisfied with the level of customer service I received at the Poway store. I had to exchange sizes on a few pairs of Dockers khakis I bought. Upon my revisit to store to exchange merchandise I was originally told that the prices had changed and that I would not be honored the prices I paid pre-sales change which I have received in the past. I approached a supervisor Christine about my experience and was quickly taken care of and assured that I should have been honored on the prices I paid originally. Christine's took care of my experience with confidence and ease and honored the original prices which amounted to 42$. Big difference! I happily took the difference and bought more products that I needed for work. Thank you, Christine! Your help and service to your customers is second to none, and I am happy to write this review to showcase how taking care of customers should be done. The in store personnel are useless. I went to the store in person with my picture ID and my Kohl's credit card that stopped swiping and tried to request a new card sent to my home. The cashier sent me to the customer service. The customer service sent me to the brown phone on the wall. After 20 minutes of pressing this button and that button i finally got a person on the phone. The brown phone on the wall was answered by someone with a thick Indian accent and they had to repeat the questions over and over before I could understand what they were saying. In the end they said I could not order the card over the phone because I did not have access to an iPhone so they could text a code to me. I was there in person with two picture ID's and the non working credit card face to face with the store manager and she told me she could not help me. This policy is an outrage. I was there face to face but you require I use an anonymous device that could not see me or my ID. Absolutely ridiculous. I did not have any problem getting the card opened in person. Why did they make me waste 45 minutes using the automated phone system. So frustrating. They could at least get someone to answer the phone that speaks good English. I would bet 5 years from now this store won't be here anymore. They are just too hard to work with. read more

I would give this place a ZERO star rating. Seriously F@$k this place and their staff. Lady tells my wife in the dressing room "you need to get out the store is closing" and then my is like wife ok fine and goes to grab a gift card really quick and then the same lady tells me "sir are u ready i can ring u up" i reply yea my wifes just grabbing a gift card" she comes back with "well you need to tell her to hurry cuz the store is closed" this while there are about a dozen shoppers (in my sight) still browsing around and she didnt tell them to hurry up. At this point im pissed and said "well was it announced you are closed? I didnt hear any announcement." She lied of course and was all "yea there was an announcement" mind you normally stores would start pulling out the security gate to signify they are closing or closed. But it was never pulled out on both entrances. Its a shame they closed the Kohls in Mira Mesa. Cuz this Poway locations sucks. Just brings back the racist stigma that Poway had when I was a kid and we'd get harassed constantly for being brown. I just wish i had gotten the name of the employee who was being such a bitch so i can put her on blast! read more

Love this Kohl's! I have been to other ones in the area and this is definitely the cleanest, most friendly and best in stock. Dont go to the Mira Mesa one, the manager is a jerk making rude comments to you as you walk by. Plus it has a very small select compare to this one.
