I went to kohls to return some things from my amazon registry. It was my first time to return stuff through kohls amazon drop-off so I had no idea how the process works. Instead of being enlightened how the process works, all the manager/staff tells me was that I have to call amazon myself and find out because they don't know and are not associated with amazon. Dear Krusty Kohls, Never shopped at Kohls but got a gift card so was forced to go inside your store. I'll Be honest, I found your location Disgusting. The fragrance and makeup area is poorly managed, dirty and unhygienic. All of the fragrance displays were filthy and covered in spots from overspray from the people testing the fragrances. I know this is an on going problem because I had to spend my gift card over two different days spread out over a month. I can't believe that YOU, a huge retail chain can allow this. Recently I have been seeing the articles online in regards to JC Penney and Kohls possibly going out of business. I was disappointed because I like several brands from each of these stores... Liz Claiborne, Elle, Vera Wang, Danny & Nicole, etc. However, my opinion about Kohls has since changed since my in-store experience with them on Memorial Day. I purchased over $125 worth of items from Kohls on Memorial Day. After being given my total, I asked the cashier if she was going to put in my phone number for points to be earned towards the rewards program. She proceeded to activate the system so I could link my purchase to the rewards program; however, it was then prompting me to scan my driver's license, which I did not have with me. A supervisor was called over and I asked if I hold onto the receipt, can I have my purchase linked to the rewards program next time I come in. She tells me "yes", but only if I return to the store that day because I won't get the same sale prices when they do a return and then ring me back up. I work part-time doing retail and I know it is not this complicated. There is no reason at all why I should have to scan my driver's license to link to my rewards account. If I am paying with a debit card in my name and am able to pull up my account online for you, there is no reason why I should have to give you my driver's license too. In addition, if you did have to do a return and then re-purchase once I had my driver's license on me, there is absolutely no reason why you cannot match the prices I paid on Memorial Day. You might need a Manager to override the prices, but it can be done. This amount of difficulty created by Kohls and/or it associates is completely unacceptable and I will not shop there ever again. I now see why there is a good chance it will be going out of business. Bye, bye Kohls! read more

Beware! If you are getting ready for your big day! & thinking of have a wedding registry with Khol's, STOP RIGHT THERE & DO NOT DO IT. You may or may not receive your gifts depending on whatever the hell is going on in Khol's. I had 100+ family and friends from all over USA accessing our wedding registry and buying things. We cannot know who is buying what since Khol's don't provide that information via email or in the registry. All you have is a "Purchased" status. When someone had thoughtfully bought us few dinner sets and it never reached us (more than a month now!) this is what Khol's say : " We see your full registry. On our end is just a gift list. It is not a record with purchase history. If you do get a hold of the order number or receipt, we are capable of pulling all of the purchasing details (and tracking up if it was shipped by Kohls.com " "Without an order number, we also do not have a tracking number, and cannot see if the gifts are in transit or lost, and where it happened. You are welcome to contact us if you get a hold of the information" So unless you newly weds want to sit home and call all your friend and relatives one by one to find out who bought what, their payment details, make them dig their emails for the shipment details and order number and then give these information to Khol's after going through their torturous customer care support! *GASP* In short, unless you have time after your wedding ceremony to WFH for Khol's... PLEASE DON'T BECOME A VICTIM OF THIS ATTITUDE. I for sure don't find this experience acceptable and pleasant. I had 2 more registries: Sur La Table & BB&B and we had a very pleasant experience with them. I don't think anyone should loose their wedding gifts to any retailer when there are other retailers who can much professionally and responsible handle the same job. I'm not sure if it was just a case of "right place at the right time," or a case of personal preference winning over objectivity, but I went to Kohl's yesterday and it RULED. I haven't been to a Kohl's in years. I went to the Northridge mall looking for just a cheap-ish couple pairs of shorts & swimming trunks. I couldn't find much of anything I wanted. I ended up at Kohl's which was close by over in Northridge, and they just had everything I wanted. I got like 3 pairs of shorts and 3 shirts for under $100. The lady at the counter hooked me up with a Kohl's card in seconds, and saved me $20 off the whole purchase. On top of that, I got an additional $20 off anything I buy in the next week. Not too bad, I was pretty psyched. I guess I can see some of the other reviews saying the place was a bit messy, and there was only one register open for a decent line of people. But they do have a LOT of clothes crammed in that place, so it's probably tough to keep everything 100% in order, it's not like it's the Gap or something. Great place to waste your time. I was in a rush, had to buy some formal business clothes and black heels for work .I looked for an associate and they all seemed to avoid customers, so here I am rushing around the entire store looking for clothes , and when I finally found what I was looking for ,I went to the -COMPLETELY UNATTENDED - fitting rooms , all with busted locks except for two.There was clothes all over the floor. Like I said this is a great place to waste time aimlessly, because customer service is non-existent. Take like 3 different sizes in case something doesn't fit you because no one will assist you in that ! Now , let's go onto the shoe section, there's no one there to help you,I'm telling you, this is literally a ghost town , which is funny because their employee office is right next to it .the heel selection was very limited, there was only one pair of O.K looking heels in my size and in black ,and I was in a rush so I tried one on, it fit I took the box it was in and made my way to the register. The line wasn't even all that long, I waited for 15 minutes , just to be told that the box of shoes I picked up only had one shoe (well fxck, I am in a rush) so I said ok, it was a size 6.5, the cashier literally looks at me and says "oh well YOU need to go find the other one ." I asked if she was seriously implying that I go look for that shoe myself, Of course she paused , thought about it and said " oh um, I think I can try calling someone to get it " Okay great, so I let the people behind me go ahead , and I'm here waiting for that shoe as time passed to another 15 min later and they figure out it was a display but for some reason have a mental breakdown on whether or not to ring it up. I have worked in retail for a few years and I couldn't believe these people have jobs where large amounts of money are handled daily , I was like screw this , you can't even find one shoe and ring me up within a reasonable time. So I bought only two skirts (only because I really needed them) and left everything else. What a waste of time. Husband went to use a gift card. Employees didn't know how to enter them and told us the gift card was no good and we had to call ourselves and get it fix. Called the next day and were told there was nothing wrong with the gift cards. Decided to go Kohl's in Simi Valley due to the bad experience in Northridge. I recently bought 2 clothing items. After I washed them I noticed that one of them still had the anti theft device on it. I dont understand how a cashier could miss that! I only had 2 items!! I HATE when people who are working spend the whole time talking...what makes it worse is that I was at the register trying to pay and the girl was talking to another employee about her female problems and cramps...are you freaking kidding me? Then there is the store itself. The people that go here are trashy and lazy. The fitting rooms were full of old clothes, the racks outside the fitting rooms were all packed with no one in sight doing go-backs. Then comes the shoe area....shoes were everywhere! My fiend and I were going clothes shopping. We found a Target and a Kohl's right next to each other .. score! Ugh, the parking lot is a total mess that needs to be redone. My friend has never been to a Kohl's before. So we walk in and head towards the Mens section looking for cargo shorts. The first thing I see when walking in are two registers open and a line as far as the eye can see. I was thinking "I hope this isn't the only registers around". We find the Mens section and start to look around. I don't know why, but this Kohl's was a mess. It felt very cold and industrial inside. The girl who ring me up didnt took it out and when i left the store the thing didnt even ring. And i have earing that i bought and she didn't even include it. Kohl's - No one to help!!! I've been here for 17 minutes and yet there is no one to help... horrible - Department Stores Near Me - NORTHRIDGE, California

I am a big fan of Kohl's, because you can combine 10 coupons with kohl's cash and get like 90 bucks off your total purchase. Ok, I've never had that many coupons and kohls cash at once, but they are AMAZING at honoring coupons. If you are part of their rewards program, you get tons of emails loaded with coupons. And my favorite part about it is that you can use them all together. I've had the staff ask me a number of times, "any more coupons? Kohl's cash?" It's incredible. I usually end up saving 20-30 bucks with those coupons. I once had a bill that was $75 that went down to $30. That's amazing! This particular location I enjoy, because it's also close to my home and they have a pretty good inventory. The styles and sizes are plenty, so I've never had to ask for someone to look in the back. The women's clothing always has sales, sales that range from 25-50% off. I always go back and forth from the juniors to the misses. I like coming here to buy throwaway purses, meaning purses that I can use daily and don't have a problem throwing them out when they start to rip (5-6 months). They're definitely not designer, but better than other department stores I think. read more

Shop here from time to time for new Clothes. I prefer the options or styles here then other stores, and it's like an upscale Mervyns, (though that chain is bust, this Kohls occupies it's former location in Northridge) Pretty decent quality for the most part, though I generally pass on ANY full price items, as they tend to be FAR & ABOVE what they are else where ( $36-$42 for a Hanes pack of 3 T-shirts for example) but if you go when there are sales, which is often, & utilze their coupons, which they also send out in abudance, you can get great discounts, and at times a real steal of a deal on items, hence the check in's I have here. Overall, it's less crowded & easier to get in & out then the mall, and truth be told, my wife digs how I look in some of the Apt. 9 clothing line, so who am I to argue. read more

My experience shopping here was very pleasant despite this being my first. On a Sunday? Wide selection of clothing, shoes, home necessities and other things that fits your budget. Came here just after we had lunch and simply wanted to scope this place out in the hopes I'd find a new pair of kicks. No high expectations whatsoever since Northridge Mall (still not fond of it) is nearby. Walk-in and aimed right for the shoe section. Colour, size and brand easy to find. Tried 'em on, fits right, done...until I stumbled upon the Marc Anthony Collection and a slight detour ensued. Palm tree and floral designs caught my attention eager to try 'em on so I asked politely where the fitting rooms were and a nice young lady came to the rescue. Before you know it, trouble soon arose. Half-hour later a pair of tees, polos and dressy shirts, and even some slacks were all in my possession. Proceeded to the register and cashier, Ms. Carmen, was so upbeat to ring up all the items chosen. Best of all, they were all on sale and to top it off, Ms. Carmen mentioned the stash was eligible for an additional discount!! That dam Kohl's cash thang you get for the purchase will ensure I'm in knee deep trouble later on. So elated, got home tried 'em on once more and I must say, dagnabbit I look like a "thousandaire". Even former Miss. Universe Miss. Torres will agree how good I look in 'em and that's the real trouble. Kohl's carries a lot of well known brands such as Nike, Under Armour, Vans, Converse, Sketchers, Fila, Levi's, Dockers, etc. Even Miss 'Don't Cost a Thing' Lopez has her own line for all the beautiful gals. Simply Vera, Juicy Couture, Rock&Republic, Lauren Conrad, etc. are just a few of the other fab lady lines. Even the 'lil tykes get to be stylin' with OshKosh, Disney, and Carters, just to name a few. This place is the quintessential of an anti-mall. Frugal conscious...there's no shame in that. Shop wisely! read more

This Kohl's used to be a decent store with appropriately minimum amounts of items on display and aisles spacious enough to browse around. Not anymore. Shopping here is a nightmare, crammed with SO much merchandise (think clearance and cheap items) that it should be an outlet store. Aisles are narrow and crammed with shoppers--never mind that we're still in a panemic-- who get frustrated trying to find anything because too many clothing items are placed in a haphazard manner. The back of the store is sparse i.e towels and such were low on inventory on the day I visited. Despite most customers wearing masks and the store entrance sign recommending masks, cashiers were not wearing masks. This Kohl's makes going to Ross a better option. Kohl's has gone downhill with too much unwanted merchandise. Listen to your customers, Kohl's, and do away with your excess inventory. Also, despite being in a pandemic, the ventilation was poor on the day I visited. And there were grumpy employees who clearly looked as if they'd rather be elsewhere, just like myself. No more Kohl's it is unless Kohl's undergoes a massive makeover, which I doubt it will do anytime soon. read more

Great deals, although I suspect their 'original' price is always marked up and the 'sale' price is the one they always intended selling at. Apt.9-great clothes for 20, 30-somethings. Croft and Barrow- for 50, 60-somethings. Good sales on shoes, occasionally. If you get a charge card you can get additional % off. Parking is good since it's in a shopping center. Lines for checkout are often long (10+ people) but they move quickly. read more

I went to return my Amazon package it's has been 3 weeks and I have not seen my refund. I called Amazon and they informed me that the store has not return the item back to there warehouse.
