We love Kohls, this one is usually very clean and employees very helpful. Loads of clearance items to choose from and sales every day. We unfortunately witnessed some shoplifting and either due to store policy or state laws, the manager/security couldn't touch them. They literally rain out the door with arms full of items, some still on hangers, dropping stolen shoes on their way out, they ran thru the parking lot towards route 40 and they were gone. It's sad that store can't protect their merchandise from thieves . read more

I love kohls and especially this location. Store is usually very clean and organized but the lovely cashier named Linda is the main reason for this review. In a time where friendly employees seem to be few and far between, Linda should be recognized for her awesome attitude, friendly demeanor and work ethic! She's always the first to volunteer to check someone out and is always so happy, friendly and helpful. I genuinely look forward to seeing her and chatting even if it's brief. * Racks we're completely disorganized. (Shirts and pants on the same rack and some hangers empty) * Hangers were wrongly labeled.. (I found my husbands XL shirt on a M hanger!!) * Cashier neglected to remove the magnetic thing from my husbands coat!! * Men's clearance section tucked in an extremely odd corner in the middle of the men's section.. I was not impressed with this Kohl's. While I never expect a department store to have many maternity options, I do expect the racks to be at least a little bit organized. The racks here were a mess. There were shirts, blouses, pants and dresses all smashed onto multiple racks. Regularly priced items were mixed in on the clearance rack and vice versa. I understand that the section is small and tucked behind the infant clothes, but there are maybe a dozen wall racks and one floor rack. There were dozens of empty hangers, and it was apparent that this small section had been overlooked by staff for some time. While walking around the store, I noticed several random carts with cardboard boxes attached to the top, used for folding clothes. I guess they have to use whatever they use, but this option makes the place look mediocre. I also took away one star because the restrooms were out of order. To me, for employees as well as customers, it is unacceptable for a store like this to not have a functioning toilet. I was told that I needed to drive to the Wawa to use the bathroom. read more

I placed an order online before store opened for their pickup today option. As of 4:30pm still haven't gotten email/text that order is ready. Instead I got a email apologizing for delay. Before I got said email I called and basically was told probably tomorrow it'll be ready. I was like um the option is for pickup today, not tomorrow!Now this isn't first time. I should have order for pickup at the Middletown store. At Middletown I order before store opened and my order was ready before they opened for the public. I mean 4 small items should not be hard. Plus the Newark store is sloppy and don't ever carry men's scarves, well only one choice, dockers. Middletown is cleaner and has more to offer. So disappointed. read more

My mother ordered wine glasses for me from Kohls as a Christmas gift. She ordered them in early December, and when they had not arrived the week before Christmas, she called several times about it. She was told repeatedly that the glasses would arrive before Christmas. The glasses NEVER arrived. In early January she called again, and was told that they would resend the wine glasses, and because they were a Christmas gift that never arrived, the associate offered her a second set for $1. My mother was happy with that offer and accepted. At the end of January, 1 set arrived. My mother called AGAIN to inquire about the 2nd set that she was offered, and was told that they don't do that and she would not be getting a 2nd set. So not only did my Christmas present not arrive at all, Kohl's lied about what they would do to make up for it which is completely unacceptable. Do not shop at Kohls. read more

This store needs help! It's not organized, they are short staff, the ones they do have are all over the place, trying to keep up, work departments that customers trash, organizing clothes, do car pick ups and helping customers and then called to cashier at the same time ! The security is a joke! I witnessed several times people load up with merchandise and run out the doors! you have both doors used as exits and we all know that's not good! They run out that door and into waiting cars because they know they got that extra exit to use, the dressing rooms are rooms they use to rip tags off and take more merchandise since no one is in the dressing rooms! And they trash them dressing rooms ! It's crazy!!! This store needs someone to step up and take control and run this store properly. I know with COVID they are short staff but if done correctly they can manage by closing off the dressing room and making that extra set of doors and enter only. or have staff member by the doors and in the dressing rooms. And security watching cameras and security actually watching the doors. It's a nice store, it just needs help. I just get freaked out when I see people running out the door and no one does anything and I'm thinking damn, if we get held up in here who's going to help??! Security??? shit! Nope! I hope someone really steps up and thinks about the employees and their safety working in this place weather physical or emotional, people can get drained doing 3 or 4 peoples jobs and that's why so many leave. and the fact this store is a target for thieves. The Yes2You rewards and Kohl's cash are fantastic (save and use on electronics items) great selection in colors and sizes. Very expensive and ugly clothes. But they have cute shoes and sometimes good sales on them.

I really enjoy kohl's clothing and they do have some decent sales. However, I don't always enjoy my shopping experience at my local kohl's. The store usually always appears nice when you first walk in. The more you walk around and deeper you go into the store it becomes a mess. The tables are not folded and there is clothing thrown around. I usually have trouble finding my kids sizes in clothing. I recently went in looking for shoes and again didn't have correct sizing. The shoe department was a disaster. Some employees are very friendly and will greet you. Some on the other hand are very rude. They won't acknowledge you when you walk by at all. I have had several online orders here get canceled because they didn't have the merchandise. That was also frustrating. I went in to pick up one of my online orders and the dark haired female at customer service was extremely unfriendly. She almost seemed annoyed that she even had to deal with me. No hi, how are you today? No smile, nothing. I do shop here because it's local to me. I do however think they could improve on these things. read more

I love this store finally something other then walmart in the area. It has a nice selection of clothing and home goods, great gift items and if you catch a sale the prices are great. The best part is their store credit, as long as you pay a third of your bill you have no finance charges! can't beat that in todays econemy read more
