I really do not like Kohl's and this location didn't improve my opinion of them. I ordered ahead to pick up at the store so I didn't have to wander around trying to find what I needed. When I came in I headed toward the order pickup section. When I arrived at the "self pickup", nothing made sense. I didn't have anything that corresponded to the number system they had so I didn't know where the heck to pick up my item. Their site didn't indicate they offered curbside pickup (I checked my email just in case I'd misunderstood how I was to pick it up). I called and was on hold about six minutes because no one ever picked up. (There were 20+ people in line and I didn't want to wait around there just to be told to go elsewhere; what's the point of pickup if not to be quick?) Finally I found an associate not behind a cash register and he went to get my order, which was in the back and not at all in correspondence to the system they had out on the floor. I guess maybe they expect people to stand in line? But that doesn't make sense when their pickup system says you should check your email to pick up your item. I don't know. read more

This is an a-ok Kohl's. It's not our usual go-to Kohl's as it's not that nearby, but once in a while we will drop in if they have something in their inventory that another Kohl's might not have. It's an older though renovated Kohl's and usually very quiet and you kind of wonder if they will survive the next franchise downsizing. They are in a strip mall and have a huge and open parking lot. Like most Kohl's they have a Sephora, a self pickup station for online orders, and a convenient Amazon drop-off station. read more

Kohl's is a store I frequent a lot they always have some good sales and I enjoying shopping at a store that is always cleans and well kept.

This Kohl's just completed a renovation . They added Sephora and removed the fine jewelry. According to our cashier, many customers are disappointed with the change. I stopped in to drop off an Amazon return. You do not have to package the return and you receive a $5.00 Kohl's coupon. The process is super fast. It often is a good incentive to use the coupon while in store. It seems as if they are trying to change their image a bit and appeal to more customers. It would be great if additional stores moved into the strip mall they are in to attract more customers. read more

Many different brands at one place, absolutely neat and clean every time, extremely polite personnel, close to my apartment, big parking...of course there is no need to mention they are compliant with all Covid safety measures. Also, there is a place inside Kohl's store where you can do returns from Amazon which is also convenient for us who live close by.There is never a line, so you don't have to wait. read more

Clean store where customers are counted and checked for masks. Big selection for men's sporting clothes. They have a decent electronic selection. The store is getting a little bit old and it shows but the staff is very friendly. What a few places that carries over sized sheets which is nice for the Tempur-Pedic foam mattresses. Always a good place to find nice clothes and house goods for a great price for what you are getting. From clothes, shoes, household products so I was able to find a few things and I was on my way. Was not offered any assistance but I didn't need it anyway.You can always find a bargain here. You really need to shop here during the day. The lines are always long! I've left before due to the lines. As you know this store, you need to look through racks of things to find anything good. Make sure you have patience and go on a day when you are in a good mood. There was not a lot of selection for the items, and I did notice how some of the boxes within the kitchen departments him tampered with or open. I'm not sure if these items were returned or just poor quality, but nonetheless, it was very disheartening to notice this fat. read more

The store is neat and organized and set up for social distancing. However, after being closed for a time, staff attitudes are a mixed bag. Some were super nice and greeting me while others didn't even bother listening to my question and just pointed me to a part of the store. Not the greatest, not the worst. read more

Decent location away from the hub-bub of a mall. It's actually totally packed full of merchandise and for the most part very clean. Employees have been nice when I've walked through. I only go in for Site to Store pickup these days, I'm all about the online shopping. The first time I went in this Kohl's I had zero idea where to go for the pickup. A sign by the doors...or really anywhere...would be super helpful in advising clients where to go. Kohl's are huge massive stores and it would beat walking for miles aimlessly around. I followed the signs for "Services" and ended up in the very back right hand corner of the store at Customer Services. Though the employee was super nice, it was a hot mess. Dirty, stuff everywhere piled all haphazardly. The pickup process was very smooth and quick, but there are just a few areas that could be improved upon for a stellar client experience. read more

I just left the store empty-handed because the clothing that I was going to buy I put back. I wanted to buy a pair of jeans and I wasn't sure what size I was. When I went to go to the fitting rooms all of them were closed. When I talk to the sales associate and asked her if in fact all of the dressing rooms were closed, she stated that I would have to buy one of each size and whichever one didn't fit I could return. Furthermore, she stated if I return the size that didn't fit, they would not put the clothing back on the floor for sale for 48 hours. What kind of sense does it make to keep the fitting rooms closed but use that rationale forcing you to buy more than one article of clothing? Furthermore, the sales associate that I talk to was extremely rude and was almost annoyed that I asked her such a question. I can spend my money 100 other places and it will no longer be at Kohl's. read more

Upon returning an Amazon package, I received a confirmation with a 25% off coupon. The staff stated its good for 7 days on anything in the store. I found a nice robe for almost $100, and with discount decided to purchase for my wife. At the register, tge clerk told me ,"This item is excluded from coupon." I explained what other clerk said, where upon another sales clerk appeared and began lecturing me on all the brands that the coupon won't support. I decided to shop elsewhere. Maybe their corporate boards and store staff hasn't learned anything from Carson's experience. Kohl's must want to travel down the same path. They're already closing Kohl's stores. Sad! read more

The store is fine but their marketing and sales strategy annoys the crap out of me, The one I hate the most is the buy one get one half off gimmick, what a ripoff, they double the price and then give you a second one at 50% off! With the exception of the clearance racks everything else is overpriced, unless you have Coupons, usually only valid if you use your Kohls charge or reward cash! it's a total racket, no one ever works the floors and stuff is usually all over the place! read more

This Kohl's is a good place to shop for a deal...or to lose your mind. Maybe both. You will find name brand clothes at marked-down prices, as well as their own brand. Don't forget to check the dressing rooms if you don't see your size on a rack, because things tend to pile up in there. The selection of hair accessories and belts is slim, and once you find the belt rack, it may be a disorganized mess. There might be some 3 for 1 deals hiding in there, though. They're great about returns if you buy something in the wrong size or get two of something for Christmas, but you'll have to stand in line for quite a long time first. You can get Kohl's "dollars" to use like coupons on anything in the store, but they expire pretty quickly. There are toys, housewares, shoes, ad linens departments arranged in no particular order throughout the store. The selection is excellent for some departments, like candles, but stunningly deficient in others, such as men's underpants. The thing that might really drive you bonkers is trying to get help from an employee. If you can find one, they are likely to vaguely point in the direction of the thing you are looking for without offering to show you. You might find a manager, who (if you are me) might give you the crazy eye and tell you on what "pad" the item is located, as if that phrase bears some meaning to you. Perhaps the third employee will actually take you to the item, perhaps not. In any case, this is why it took me twenty minutes to find Cuddle Duds pajamas on my last visit here. Grab one of the Godiva chocolate bars they keep by the registers while you wait in line to pay for your items. You may need it. Well, you may need a few glasses of wine, but they don't sell alcohol here. read more

This Kohl's place is one of my favorite store in the whole city! I always find everything I need and also grab some of their awesome items. This place has many different brands at one place, they are cheaper than other stores around, and you can also find some great deals here such as discounts, promos, and even sale items. You can absolutely save a lot of money here even you are buying many items. They are so fair. Their place is neat, clean, well-maintained, and organized. The whole place is so bright and huge. You can also tour yourself around. Walking around is so enjoyable. Their associates here are so decent, professional, and knowledgeable. They will even guide you around, answering your questions, and giving the items you need and looking for. Wonderful sales ladies. They made me feel more welcomed. Also you can definitely find here some casual clothes to wear, formal, and even sleeping clothes. Their place is full of branded and quality items. I really love their huge selection. Such a satisfying place! I would definitely love to go back here soon to buy some quality items again. They had a lot of nice things. So many reasons to visit and shop again and again. I ventured in here to exchange some Christmas gifts. First off, I understand how crazy the Returns can be - I worked retail once upon a time. Even taking that into consideration, I was disappointed by their lack of customer service. I stopped an associate and asked her where I need to go for returns. She pointed me to customer service center. I get there and there is an enormous line and one cashier. Alright, they'd call someone right? No. What made it worse is that there were Kohl's employees standing ten feet away gossiping and pretty much doing nothing. [The foot tapping starts now.] Twenty minutes later, I get there and the lady says, "you can't return this item here." My basic reaction was, "you're kidding me." I explained how I specifically even asked an associate. She said, "M'am, you must go there. There shouldn't be a line." Not even nice. So I am already ticked off as it is. As I pass by the useless other employees standing around, I go there to return it. There was a line. Ten minutes later, I finally have returns done. Now I wanted to look at food processors and they had an excellent deal (typically their prices are very reasonable and it is what will make me stop in). It was very disorganized and the store was messy. Not seeing one in stock, I tried to find a sales associate. I can't find anyone - not even those goofing off. I press the "need help" button that they have located and finally someone comes (it is a PLUS that they offer them and respond). She was moderately helpful but basically kept giving me the run around. Finally, I got sent to the complimentary phone for their online orders. I was so frustrated at this point that I was about ready to burst. The next person to mess with me would not have a good day. Luckily, I was surprised by how helpful the online associate was. She helped me find a similar product, reduced the price to the in-store promotion, and even helped me save more money. Now THAT is something I like. I even said that I would rather talk to her than shop in the store. So in terms of that experience, it was great and I would definitely do it again. In a nutshell - good deals, helpful online associates, but the store left something to be desired. I'll come back, but I may be doing more online ordering. read more

I have always enjoyed shopping at this location, but not today! I stopped to get some polo shirts and also added rock/republic sweater and some men's flip flops. I got in line (men's department side) and waited while a difficult customer asked a million questions, made the cashier call a manager to check a price on one of the items and ended it by giving a $100.00 bill to pay AFTER she grilled the cashier about returning items on a Kohl's charge to get cash back! The cashier did handle it as well as she could but ended up having to call someone about getting her change for the $100. This is where things really started going down hill! The person told her to "run" to another register to get the change! The cashier explained more than once to the idiot on the other end that she couldn't leave because her drawer was open and she needed change immediately for the customer standing there. Meanwhile back at the ranch, I mean line, I was getting impatient and angry! My feet were killing me from working all day and I needed to get home to do errands. The cashier was the only one working and no one offered to call another cashier. I told her I was going to the other side of cash registers thinking it would be quicker. As I got in line there were 2 cashiers and they were both trying to help the customers open Kohl's charge cards! Sears used to do this and guess where they are now? If people want to open charges they need to do it in a charge opening lane designated only for that! I don't know about you but I don't have 15 minutes to wait while this is all going down! There are now 8 people in line and no one has moved. Finally, one lady is able to get to the cash register! I had had enough! Between both sides of registers and only 3 cashiers total (no one ever called for back up to help ring us up) I left my stuff on an empty register and walked out! If you get it together Kohl's I will revise this review but until then this experience was the worst ever and I won't be going back! There is always the internet where all of us are going to shop and we don't have to worry about others opening charge cards, not being able to get in and out, price checks or idiot managers! My suggestion to you is to get some self check lanes like they do in the grocery store! We would all be much happier or you could hire more people and make sure they are qualified for the positions they hold! read more

I'm giving Kohl's 5 stars on its customer service! I've had two recent occurrences where this was true. One situation where my Kohl's cash was expired and still accepted it after the fact. The second being, most recently when I purchased an item that was on rebate (which was already a surprise for me). This was my first time purchasing an item that was on rebate at Kohl's. The rebate form requested the original UPC... uh ooo... I tossed the box with UPC and all out the other night. As you can imagine, I was a little bummed that I was going to be losing $12 so the deal that I was excited about previously was not so exciting anymore... in fact a little annoying. I figured what the heck why not ask to see what customer service can do for me. They actually pulled a UPC off another similar item that they just recently defected. HOW AMAZING!! Yay the awesome deal was back on! Yesterday, I mailed the rebate form and original UPC code from the box and I can't wait to get my $12 rebate check. CHA CHING!!! Also, in BOTH cases customer service helped me with a SMILE and a CAN DO ATTITUDE! read more

I was never really a fan of Kohls until recently. The brands and lines they carry are on par with other stores. I was able to sign up for coupons, was awarded Kohls cash for my next shopping trip, and saved like 40-50% off when I walked into the store already! I was able to purchase five items for $80! I thought that was a steal considering a lot of women's stores charge $80 for one top! I'll definitely be including Kohl's into my shopping more often. read more

I have always gone to this kohl's since I could remember but the experience I had tonight might honestly make me change my mind. Me and my 3 friends had been shopping here on a Thursday night and my boyfriend spent close to $100 on clothes for a vacation. After we paid and left, we stood by our cars for close to a hour just talking. While the store was still open, a cop approached us to ask what we were doing and we told him we had finished shopping and were just standing here talking. He then informed us that an employee from kohl's called on us because it was strange for us to be standing in a parking lot and that they were scared to go to their cars. 2 of us are white, 1 Mexican, and 1 black. Before he could even walk up to us fully, a woman (who I assume was a manager) emerged from the store walking up to the cop stating that she was the one who called and that her employees are scared to leave because of us. Obviously, since we were not doing anything wrong, we were fine and the cop apologized profusely for even having to check on us. I'm honestly just shocked that we got the cops called on us for TALKING. Standing there TALKING. The store wasn't even closed yet! But apparently we now live in a world where people of color standing in a parking lot, standing next to their OWN cars, is against the law. I don't think I've ever felt so disappointed in my life. Especially the attitude the woman had when she walked up to the officer was ridiculous. She should be embarrassed as well as anyone else that was "scared" of us. read more

I am writing today to complain of the poor service I received from Kohl's store located at 1500 Elmhurst Rd, Mt Prospect, IL 60056 on Sunday, September 1, 2019. I entered the store at approximately 3:30 p.m. and walked between the aisles of women's intimate wear and petites. I was looking around and that is when I was approached by one of your associates Gina (Caucasian, curly mid-length dark brownish hair). She was about 2 feet away and asked, "Can I help you with something?" It seemed as though she was folding clothes or putting clothes away. I looked at her and said, "No". I did not like the approach especially since there were a few people already in this area and she excluded me from the rest of the customers. I walked away towards the home/bedding area. A few seconds after this I then started browsing the kitchen area and noticed she was in that same area hanging some items on the wall. This was already making me feel uncomfortable because I've shopped at this store multiple times and find myself looking for help almost every time--you can never find anyone ever. I continued to browse and made my way to the sunglasses area and started to try on a pair of glasses and picked out 2 pairs. I made my way to the area where they have face masks and I heard a voice, "It's me again and wanted to check again if you needed help?" It was the same associate Gina who had approached yet again in the 15 minutes I was in the store. Mind you, the store was full of customers. I then asked her if she was following me? She laughed and said, "no."I looked at her and said "let me speak to your manager." Gina then said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you. I asked her again to get me your manager!!! She then said I wasn't stalking you and proceeded to find the manager. The store manager at the time was Rada. I asked her if she was the manager and she said, "yes". I explained to her everything that had happened. Rada then said, "this is part of the associates job and apologized in the past that no one has ever greeted me before. I told her this was unacceptable and that I will never shop at this store again. I put the items I shopped for and left them on top of the counter. I told her I would reach out to corporate about this and walked out of the store. Not only was I humiliated in front of other customers in the store, I felt as if nothing was done and Rada was not hearing my concern as the customer because she didn't even really understand what the issue was. I have worked in retail for years myself and I know exactly how protocol works and how the associates to act when approaching customers. This is definitely a case of racial profiling and these two individuals should be fired and not be allowed to work in this store again. Clearly they both have not received sufficient amount of training on how to treat customers. I trust this is not the way that Kohl's wishes to conduct business with valued customers--I have been a customer with you for almost five years that I've moved to the Mount Prospect area and have never encountered such treatment before. I tried to contact the customer service line immediately after this issue yesterday but they were closed. When I called again today there was no option to speak to a live agent regarding my concerns. This is an important matter and I welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and to learn of how you propose to prevent a similar situation from recurring with the appropriate person. Clothing wise it offers a variety of good stuff not found in smaller stores and their shoe collection is pretty good too! I used to shop at the Kohl's in Golf Mill but this is much nicer. Everything is on one floor and generally priced correctly which always seemed to be a problem for me at the other store. I especially like buying men's and children's clothes here. They don't have a lot of women's career clothing but I can usually find something nice to wear to church or around town and if you shop the sales and the coupons you can really get some amazing deals. In fact, they have so many sales you are absolutely crazy to ever pay full price for anything here. Wait a week. It will be on sale the next. read more

I try to only shop at the Kohl's in Mount Prospect. They always have a great selection of clothing, clean store, organized clothing racks, and easy wait times at checkout. I am continually disappointed when I go to other Kohl's stores in the area. The Mount Prospect Kohl's never disappoints me. I am always able to find what I am looking for. Plus Kohl's in general has great low prices. I bought 2 purses from the Mount Prospect Kohl's last year. After just a few months of use, each purse got a tear in one of the pockets, making all of my belongings fall to the bottom of the purse and become unaccessible. I had a receipt for one and could not find the other receipt. I brought both purses in and walked out with 2 new purses. Luckily, they had both purses in stock on the floor and with no questions asked, I got 2 new purses. I felt like I had won the lottery! I had the nicest shoping experience today. I found a couple of tops that I liked on Kohls website and I called my very local store to see if they had them in the store. Since i can't walk well anymore, I really can't go running all over the store. They found the tops for me and put them up front for me so I only had to go in and pay for them.
