Perfume is a total personal fragrance that you have to smell to find just what you would like give someone so samples are needed and they do let you sample the fragrances. I told the nice woman helping me that I wanted a perfume and money is no issue so give me 4 samples of what you think is a good perfume to give a woman from a man who doesn't know anything about buying perfume. She took me around the fragrance department and let me sample name recognized perfumes and I did find one of the 4 samples that I really liked. She was so helpful to a man who didn't know what he was doing and made the whole process easy me. She totally made feel comfortable with picking a fragrance that I thought would be a nice gift and fit. Actually I found something really nice and it was not very expensive at all because I was going spend at least twice as much in my mind I thought. Yah any perfume purchases in the future will go to Macy's for sure.

I was disappointed to see that some stores had relocated, but I was happy to see a lot of familiar stores prospering. I have always enjoyed ambience and aromas while walking the main corridor. The entire mall is blessed with staff that is very Wisconsin friendly. All were helpful in helping our small group find and direct us to the appropriate stores to make our purchases. We needed some special products and because of their help we were able to locate them. As we walked in the main corridor staff members were saying hello and giving out samples, including food and fragrances. The mall staff/security were very helpful also. We were trying to find the best place to stand to get public transportation. He not only told us, but he took us there and stayed with us until public transportation arrived. He was the perfect representative for Southridge Mall! Great stores such as Macy's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Starbucks, Mrs Fields, Cinnabon, Foot locker, Claire's, JCPenney and many others are all located at this mall. They're undergoing renovation but it is worth a trip. Easy parking in the front or behind for those that decide to drive. Public transportation from buses to trains have stops located near entrances. I hope new stores will find their way to this location.

I found these Marketside Pumpkin Blondies at Walmart. Each square is comprised of cream cheese filling sandwiched between two pumpkin-spiced blondies. Cream cheese icing and chocolate chips top off each blondie as well. First off, these blondies are super thick and fantastically chewy. The flavor was primarily pumpkin, very mild spice, with a touch of sweet cream cheese. I expected more flavor from the cream cheese as it is both on top and used as a filling, but the pumpkin flavor stole the show. Almost on-existent in terms of flavor were the chocolate chips. I didn't think the chocolate chips did much and if I might make a suggestion white chocolate chips would go better with pumpkin. I kind of felt like I was eating the puree part of a pumpkin pie (the best part), only much denser and with cream cheese. A pack of four will put you back $5 and 460 calories per square (so watch it or you might end up as round as a pumpkin). This is one of my favorite new pumpkin dessert finds this year. I was confused when I parked because it didn't look like a modern super Walmart because it had one entry/exit door in the middle. It didn't look like a Walmart market either because it was too big for that but too small for a super. I watched Walmart close the small stores in favor of the super/market so what is this. As I walked in it looked like a smaller super Walmart with groceries, toys, clothes, automotive, electronics, dvds, video games, pets, home etc etc. I was able to find everything that I wanted and then some so I'm good with that. None of the restaurants, eye stores etc like the bigger ones and I didn't see a deli or hot table for take home cooked food. When it was time to check out it reminded me of Target with a small line of registers and 75% closed so pick the long line that might get you out faster while aholes cut in front of you with no shame at all because they didn't have a cart. I personally didn't like this Walmart since it seemed like the kind of store that they were trying get away from and it's not that old looking. I don't think that I would use this Walmart again when there is some better locations, yah I'm no fan of this store.

The Oak Creek farmers market is held at Drexel square every Saturday from 9am-1pm in the summer and one I've been to a couple of times. This farmers market has a variety of flowers, fruits, vegetables, honey, cheeses, meats but also a number of local artisans selling their creations. Something for everyone, from jewelry and lotions to soups and jerkies. There was even a live band playing! We opted for a yummy cold brew before picking up some cheese, meat and veggies to fill the free oak creek farmers market bag we received along the way as we walked past the vendor tents. The area was clean, people were friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying the lovely day at the Oak Creek farmers market. It's worth stopping by to see what local farmers and artisans have for you!

The gorgeous Oak Creek Public Library is located on the south end and there is a there is a grocery shop, pet store, dentist, bank, and more food options adjacent to the Square. Several of the storefronts were unoccupied, likely due to the aftermath that was 2020. It is definitely worth checking out when the weather is nice and you are looking for something new to experience. Come hungry, most of the restaurants have outdoor seating and it would be a great place to enjoy the warm sunshine :)

I placed an online order and opted to pick it up at the Greendale, WI store. Everything was going…read morewell until I noticed an entry on the receipt that was puzzling. There was a shipping/handling charge ($3.95). What's the problem? Well, their website advertised "Free shipping to store". Upon seeing this I asked the sales clerk about it. She is aware of the JC Penney policy to not having s/h charges for items picked at their stores. Thus began a lengthy, time-consuming chain reaction. The sales clerk tried to summon a manager, a process that took several minutes (note that employees are spread thin here). She too is aware of the "No s/h" policy for items picked up at the store. Both said they hadn't encountered this problem before. One thought a relatively simple process would solve this dilemma, but the other said it couldn't be done (in essence, "return" the item on the spot, then buy it again. Not having a solution, another manager was summoned. After conferring with the other 2 employees and me, she concluded that it would be necessary for me to call one of their 800 numbers. These 3 ladies seemed knowledgeable and competent; however, with no policy or solution in place, there was nothing else they could do. Apologies were made. The Penney's chain needs to have clear-cut directions if this happens, not leave their workers with no guidance. As of now, the burden is placed upon me (the customer). I must spend time calling the 800 number. Not sure if someone there can resolve the issue.Stay tuned for further developments!
