After just coming from another store that was a total disappointment for a perfume purchase I stopped here to check them out. Perfume is a total personal fragrance that you have to smell to find just what you would like give someone so samples are needed and they do let you sample the fragrances. I told the nice woman helping me that I wanted a perfume and money is no issue so give me 4 samples of what you think is a good perfume to give a woman from a man who doesn't know anything about buying perfume. She took me around the fragrance department and let me sample name recognized perfumes and I did find one of the 4 samples that I really liked. She was so helpful to a man who didn't know what he was doing and made the whole process easy me. She totally made feel comfortable with picking a fragrance that I thought would be a nice gift and fit. Actually I found something really nice and it was not very expensive at all because I was going spend at least twice as much in my mind I thought. Yah any perfume purchases in the future will go to Macy's for sure. read more

Despite all the years that Macy's has had an outlet at the Southridge Mall, I had not ever had an opportunity to stop in and check it out until recently. The store is still fairly bright and shiny, which I appreciated. And while Kohl's tends to fill their racks to the point of bursting, this Macy's seemed to be a bit of the opposite, with almost too little merchandise available to peruse. I was quite bummed to see that unlike the Mayfair store, there's no Backstage area at this location. That's fast become one of my go-to spots for clothing and gifts at prices that are much more in my ball park. On the positive side, I did score a couple good buys on the Last Chance rack in the men's department on Under Armour, a brand I rarely seem to see on clearance at the Mayfair store. Came here on what I've dubbed The Great Bedding Search of 2017. Macy's was stop 2,495,352. Or, at least it felt that way. The world is full of savvy, successful shoppers, skipping home with sacks full of awesome. I am not that shopper. But, I digress... As I said, I was looking for bedding. The first thing I'll say is that their bedding department was a little picked over. Every time I found a comforter I was a bit interested in, they didn't have a king size. I know I could have ordered, but I have furniture being delivered and was looking to pick up a set that day. And, really? They didn't have anything that wowed me anyway. So, alas, I left empty handed. I will say, the picked over stock issue definitely seemed to be exclusively a problem in their bedding department as other departments I cruised by seemed to be well stocked. And, the service I received while searching was lovely. I did spy a floral print dress that made my heart sing a little...but, given it was my 2,495,352nd stop of the day, I decided bedding focus was in order and trudged on. All in all--a-ok. read more

Retailers are suffering cause of COVID-19. Then be creative in drawing in people to shop. Not everyone has to shop at this so location so try bringing in some affordable merchandise that people can buy. Plus customers don't want to see clothing on the floor when a store just opened at 11 am already. read more

purchase necklace from Macy's I also took out a extended warranty the item I purchase broke twice the first time I return it there was no problem it broke again so I brought it back with all the paper work and they told me I had to wait three weeks for a necklace to be repair that they know can't be repair. I offer to upgrade it be they wouldn't allow me to do so the feeling I got as I walk away was that I was being un truthful with them and the didn't trust me. they still have the necklace so I must wait for the out come. after this I will never buy anything from Macy's again.it also took the nice lady in the jewelry department about a hour to find the manager on duty that night. because she wouldn't answer her page. john d read more

This was my first visit to Macy's at Southridge since it opened. What can I say? I don't go to the mall much! The store was very bright and shiny, giving it an ultra modern and clean look (and by clean, I mean both architecturally and cleanliness-wise). I did not buy anything here because I couldn't find what I was looking for, but I have been to other Macy's stores and had positive experiences. The only bad thing I have to say about this store is that it is SO monochromatic that it is very easy to lose your bearings......I kept getting turned around looking for the exits! 17/2015 read more

We walked to the perfume counter and waited for over 20 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. We just wanted to purchase the perfume and go. No one bothered to call for assistance for us. What should have been a 5 minute process the turned into a 30 minute process. read more

Macy's is one of my absolute favorite stores! Not only do they have the designer brands that I love, but they almost always have awesome sales. They have great customer service, and their returns process is hassle-free. Even if your purchase was made online, you can return it to any brick and mortar Macy's location. The store itself is very clean and bright. Items are well organized, and the displays are pleasing to the eye. Recently, Macy's made some changes to their credit card Star Rewards program. I, personally, think these are changes for the better. There are now three levels of cardholder status: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. With Gold and Platinum level, you get free shipping (no minimum purchase) and a birthday offer. And with Platinum, you also get 5% back in rewards (no merchandise exclusions). With these incentives, I will definitely be using my Macy's card more often! read more

I learned, "don't go to this local" if you are plus sized. I had purchased a dress at Macy's online for our cruise and the upcoming Frostbite ball. It looks ok but I wasn't in love with it at first and wanted to see if I could exchange it toward a different dress. There were only 2 dresses and they were obviously returned in the clearance section. Also I searched for a shaper and couldn't find any plus sized. I had minimal help as the store just opened. How refreshing it is to walk into Macy's and find clerks who are willing to help. Unlike Mayfair where the staff is either over 65 and act like they are too exhausted, therefore cranky or under 30 and act like they are too good to waste their time on you, at Southridge's Macy's the staff is energetic, helpful and extremely friendly. Both the younger clerks and those that are older are the nicest I've ever seen and they go out of their way to be helpful. The store is fresh and new and the ever-changing stock makes me want to come back often. From the housewares to the women's and men's clothes to the Clinique counter, shoes and handbags...every experience in every department was excellent. I am so glad to finally have a quality place to shop on the south side. read more

I purchased an expensive pair of diamond earrings. The post broke off the second time I wore them. Obviously the earrings are defective but I cannot get a refund nor will they repair them because it's past 30 days. Please do not purchase any jewelry from Macy's especially at Southridge Mall in WI. They do not stand behind them nor is their customer service in the jewelry department concerned with helping. They said it's not their problem. It's no wonder Macy's is struggling. read more

I want to like Macy's. I actually worked at Macy's Mall of America in the 90's. Unfortunately the level of service has eroded to a completely negative experience. I ordered a suit for my son from Macy's online and called to set up alterations. At Southridge I was told they don't do alterations. What? You sell nice suits but do not offer alterations? OKAY. I then tried Mayfair, after an hour trying to get to a human, I realized I need to go elsewhere. I will go to Men's Warehouse for my sons next suit. read more

My mom and myself were inside Macy's and I wanted to look at the matte lipsticks so the attendant (a man tall and skinny with dark brown hair) was helping these two other ladies talking up a storm with them and he just says hi if we need anything just let him know .. So my mom tried on this lip gloss with a stick that's provided next to them and he rudely interrupts us in mid conversation basically yelling "ugh! NO YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT I TOLD YOU IF YOU WANTED TO TRY THEM ON I CAN HELP YOU NOW I HAVE TO THROW IT AWAY!" And he walks away huffing and puffing .. I am a frequent shopper at Mac and this guy was very rude and arrogant and for this we left without buying anything never again will I go to the Mac inside Macy's this customer service was horrible . read more

I have worked in the cosmetics business for over 16 years and have never treated or been treated as poorly as I was at MAC COSMETICS at Macy's-Southridge Mall!!! I went there Sunday 12/28/14 around 3:20pm and saw 5 "employees" chit chatting, on their cell phones texting, etc at the counter....I had to APPROACH one of them myself and ASK for assistance....she then told me to look "over there" where the brow products would be, couldn't show me or make sure I found them....then I had to ask "here?"....she was a lazy bum named Jenna. I found 2 products I wanted and had them rung up, she then gave me my bag...I get home to find a bright red lipstick in my bag rather than the 2 brow items I purchased....they are now closed because it is Sunday...I call Monday still really upset as I had my Mom watch my small kids to go get these items at the mall and not lug my kids out...but I was cordial and spoke with Krystal--who could care less about my issue, and said she would "investigate" this and get back to me--she must have found a note or my products in their "back room" because she contacted me quite quickly and said "Jenna gave you the wrong bag and your items are here for you to pick up"....umm no I'm not making 2 trips to get my items, this wasn't my fault, so I asked her to ship them to me.... she then says "well who would pay for shipping, etc?" Ummmm, NOT ME!!! I said this isn't my fault...how hard is it to give someone the right bag of items when I was the ONLY CUSTOMER THERE at the time? It is now 7 days later and I still DO NOT have my items, and THEY EXPECT ME to ship back the matte red lipstick they accidentally gave me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called 2x today and she says "well the Cosmetics Manager isn't here but when she is I can let you know if it's been sent--it's a Macy's shipping issue now." WHAT A JOKE. This place is a HOT MESS!!!! Do not go there and waste your money or time. Order online if you must have MAC items or find a new brand!!! Totally unprofessional, as the Manager KNOWS ME AND WE USED TO WORK TOGETHER?! Say what???? NONSENSE. Her attitude over the phone and voice sickens me. Never an "I'm sorry Katy; I know you have 2 small kids and this is a hassle, I would love to mail to you and keep the ugly red matte lipstick as our gift to you as our apology"....nothing. UPDATE: It has been 12 days since given wrong item, I have called 6x and Krystal has not given me a tracking # or called to let me know the status of where my products are. I called MAC Corporate as well as my own CC company and filed a dispute. This store is CLEAN and although that is more than likely due to how new it is, I don't even care. It's beautiful inside! The merchandise is properly displayed and allows for better browsing (the Mayfair store, not so much). The staff is extremely hit-or-miss though. I have had so many negative experiences in the shoe department alone, I've given up on them entirely. If an associate can be seen leaning on the couches, staring literally off into space and then running out of the department when there are customers and no other associate around, that's not a good sign. Several make it very clear that they couldn't care less to help anyone, which is hopefully not the impression Macy's wishes to leave. I pay attention to how staff treats others, as well as myself. I didn't appreciate seeing an associate shrug off a customer who needed help in a different department. She simply said, "Oh well there should be someone there..." But there was no other associate there to help them (which is, hello, why she asked). Then, help them! I have had more positive experiences with other departments that don't ruin the store entirely for me: Lingerie, Men's, Women's, etc. The selection of clothing is definitely not the same as Mayfair which is both understandable and okay in some ways. The reason the store looks cleaner is not only because it is new, but because their selection doesn't take over the the entire store. This only works against them when the selection truly suffers as a result, such as in Children's and Lingerie. read more

I went to this store to purchase a mattress. The sales person Jennifer who helped me entered in the incorrect info and ordered the wrong size bed. She called to tell me this after I had left the store, and said I had to go back to the store to have it fixed. When I went back to the store, Jennifee had left for the evening and I had to deal with a sales manager Becky. Becky had no idea how to work the system and cancel or change the order, and yd me I had to come back in AGAIN to change the order. I wanted to cancel due to the service I had received and even that couldn't be done. The next day yet another sales manager Angela had called me and said the order was canceled, but I had to wait 7-10 business days to receive the gift cards back I had used to partially purchase the mattress. Ultimately, after several phone calls and emails I am able to pick up the gift cards in store. However. I am shocked and dismayed at the customer service I received, and the lack of competence and training these associates and managers seemed to have at this store. Macy's has never been my favorite store,and I absolutely will not be going back. read more
