Millennial pharmacists need to learn some manners. Yes, I'm over twice as old as they are, but I'm in almost full control of my faculties, so don't talk to me like I'm a foolish child. I don't like it when young strangers assume I can be addressed by my first name. It's insulting when I ask to be addressed with proper respect and they don't listen to what I say. I'm not being pretentious when I introduce myself as Dr. de Silva, I want to be treated with respect. I also want to know that my records will be filed correctly by my last name. The worker who may or may not be a pharmacist was not clear on how first names and last names work, which did not instill confidence. Still, better than Walgreens I guess.

The Meijer store on 5800 W Layton is back to blocking ALL electronic wheelchair carts. Background: January 5, 2020, the bully of a greeter, had lined up all the carts and blocked them in with the infant seat shopping cart.  He was even grouchy enough to fuss to his co-workers that someone had ruined his organization by moving the infant cart to get to an electronic cart. Yesterday, March 5, 2021: ALL of the electronic wheelchair carts were back in military formation and ALL were officially un-usable because of charging.  I'm not claiming quality photography, but you'll see in the attached pictures, the proof of this ridiculous situation. The signs say UNWELCOME to any customer who can't walk the giant store with concrete flooring. If the rude greeter is still working and is back to his old tricks, Meijer needs to know his obnoxious behavior is giving them a bad reputation.

Wholly fu#k this store has redeemed the Meijer brand that the Wauwatosa location ruined so I have to add them to yelp and leave a review. I have given up on the Wauwatosa deli because of the I don't give a Fu#k, stop bother me and I'm going to ignore you so you will walk away attitude so I don't even bother with the deli, the whole store attitude is like that when you ask for help. Right away as I walked in I got a hello from the greeter and at least half of the employees that I walked past said hello or can I help you find something, right off the bat your getting a good vibe unlike the Wauwatosa store. I was dreading going to the deli here totally expecting a crap experience but at least 5 people asked to help me while I was there and I was helped right away. I immediately asked to talk to the deli manager and explained the Wauwatosa store and thanked her for a job well done by her department and told her that I will be used this store. I actually got more deli items here than I intended because they were so helpful and the woman helping me told me that this is what I can expect so start so start using this location. The staff is better trained at this location and way friendlier which was a night and day difference and just blew me away. I'm sad to say that the crap Wauwatosa store is on work drive so I will have to use them from time to time but if I'm not at work I will definitely use this location. Ok the store it self is basically a different super Walmart, the one stop shop with everything in one place. There is a fresh baked pizza stop where you can grab a slice of hot pizza, a Starbucks, great clips, clothes, shoes, automotive, toys, pharmacy etc. I'm giving five stars for a great experience compared to the Wauwatosa location, the employees compared to any store were super nice and friendly, like Chick fil A people. _\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ This store is nothing like when it first opened, the deli sucks now, they are not trained well and leave the plastic wrapper on the sliced meats so you eat plastic before you realize that that the sandwich is a little off.

A clean store with uncluttered aisles. The checkout process is painless, and the employees are friendly. Decent prices as well.

With them just remodeling the whole store and even switching one side of the aisle to the other just to piss people off it's a decent store

Coffee is now ubiquitous with daily life in America, which brings me to Qamaria Coffee. Hatem and Munif are two Yemeni entrepreneurs with a passion for Yemeni Coffee and the joint goal of wanting to share it with the world. They founded Qamaria Coffee in 2019 to accomplish this task and in January 2024, they opened a location near Milwaukee in Greenfield, WI. Qamaria offers a variety of dessert options, including a Chocolate Tres Leches, Pistachio Tres Leches, and Caramel Tres Leches cakes. I went with the caramel version, which is described by the cafe as "A decadent caramel treat inspired by tres leches cake, creamy, sweet, and irresistibly smooth". If you've never had Tres Leches Cake, it's a light sponge cake soaked in three types of milk (evaporated, condensed, and whole) that's popular in Latin America. The cake originated in Nicaragua during the 19th century, so on first glance it's not exactly a Yemeni dessert. Doing some research, Middle Eastern variations exist that feature cardamom or rose water and some Qamaria locations do have a Rose Tres Leches. It's fine that the Greenfield location did not have that variety as I honestly would have got the caramel version anyway. My slice was perfectly moist as there was plenty of milk soaked in, but not so much that it made a mess or compromised the structure of the cake. The bottom layer was soft and Tiramisu-like in texture, while the cream on top was rich and thick. Personally, I found the caramel flavor to be mild, but delicious. As it is served chilled, it paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee (which they have a plethora of options to choose from). Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Got to see the new month of August drink and treat banners-love that touch. Lemon Meringue pie looks so spectacular. The menu feels inspiring, try it, and if you love it, attempt to make it yourself so you can eat it 100 times. The pie was good. I think it'd been better heated up with ice cream. Inside the pie really was more just like a regular apple pie with plenty of spice. Carmel seemed to be like a topping rather than an ingredient. I think it'd be amazing if the Carmel was inside. Staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly, I overheard guest conversation with them at front on there questions about the key-lime pie. The only thing I have to say for the order taker is please remind people to use their punch card that's good at their 2 cousin locations as well. The on my time I got a punch was the 1 time I was reminded was when I received the card. And I've been back 3 times since. There the Cheese shop by fiser forum or sausage shop in Milwaukee public Market I still have to check out. If they created a phone number "points" system that would be event better than carrying around a paper card.

The Glazed Croissant Donut is the standout item for me. The Cinnamon Snails run a close second and are worth picking up if you have the restraint to not stop at one item. The coffee caught me off guard in the best way. A 20oz Caramel Vanilla Cappuccino with oat milk rang up at $5.29. That price point is notable, and it delivered. Service moves quickly and the staff is friendly. One thing that stood out on the way out was the recognition displayed on the exterior of the service counter for employee years of service. After doing a little research, I've learned that sadly, Kringles are not widely spread throughout the U.S. Did you know Kringle is the official state pastry of my home, Wisconsin? It turns out that Racine, WI is actually the epicenter for Kringles. Racine's O&H Danish Bakery opened in 1949 and has been family owned for four generations. The almond kringle is one of their more traditional/basic flavors, but it is still impressively delicious. I was pleased with the amount of filling O&H crams into the pastry. It's got a nutty flavor that is so sweet, it almost seems fruity. Texturally, the filling has a creamy aspect to it, but it's also rather dense. The body of the kringle has hints of butter and like the filling, is thick and dense. Additionally, it has a flaky and pleasantly chewy texture. Lastly, the kringle is topped with a thick layer of icing. Usually O&H is pretty consistent, but as you can see from the pics, some portions of the kringle had a really thin amount of icing compared to others. Regardless, it was still another superb Kringle from O&H. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews * Only minor complaint is the size/price as I wished they also offered a smaller version of their Kringles or half kringles or even individual slices. My Top Kringles: 1. Pumpkin Caramel (limited time from O&H Bakery) 2. Eggnog (limited time from O&H Bakery) 3. Cheesecake (Racine Danish Kringles) 4. Sea Salt & Caramel (Racine Danish Kringles) 5.
