I've been a member here for years now and I often joke that I should be buying stock because I'm basically an owner with how much I buy from here! I visit this location on the regular, although during the weeknights is your best bet if you don't want to fight the weekend crowds. If I do visit on the weekends, I don't plan on a quick trip and if I can help it, I'll park on the street so I'm limited to just the few items I need and eliminate the need for cart and trying to find parking. Samples are fun and the food court is an option for nights you don't have time to cook. There always seems to be new things you need but it's not guaranteed to be there next time either so if you see something you like, grab it! Everything from clothes to electronics to housewares to produce to alcohol to gift cards and everything in-between. There isn't much you can't get at Costco! Customer service is fast and friendly but do everyone a favor and download the app for faster returns so you can always have your membership card and receipts at the ready. Gas prices are also competitive for the area and I've found Costco to be especially cost-effective during travel to other states/ countries! Travel deals, car rentals, car insurance, even home improvement projects are discounted, great quality and backed by Costco. I've had stellar experiences with the optical department as well, with prices well below what I normally pay for eye glasses and for glasses with everything you can imagine too! There isn't much I don't love about Costco and though I don't have the need for quantity as I did before, it's hard for me to give up the savings and variety of services & product they offer. read more

This Costco is one of my favorites in the Milwaukee area. The parking situation is not the best (many tight corners and is smaller overall than other Costcos) but can be avoided by going in the mornings. I like that this Costco has an Optical Department. I got my glasses frames and lenses from here last year and they were so much better (price and quality) than any eye doctor I've ever been to. This Costco has samples on most days and I feel it doesn't get as crowded as some of the others in the area. The people who work here are always super friendly and helpful! read more

First time stopping to grab a bite to eat here after running our errands. Just like in the rest of the warehouse, the employees were working very hard to fill orders quickly and correctly. I heard too many customers giving them a hard time about the wait (at lunch time on a Saturday, no less), so they deserve even more stars for not losing their patience with rude people. All of the staff here deserve a raise. People push and shove for samples and just generally stand in the middle of aisles all the time. Impressed constantly by the professionalism on display at this location. The slice of pepperoni was good. Very hot and a little greasy but it hit the spot for a quick lunch. The slice is large, too, so we ended up splitting it. Ordering was easy on the kiosk and they have all the supplies needed at the front (utensils, napkins, pepper flakes, parmesan cheese, chopped onions). read more

I like Costco because the employees seem fairly happy with their job, and I want to support places that seem to treat their people right. The food is usually tasty and lasts a while, especially the fruit, which can't be said about every warehouse store. I give it 4 stars because of the amount of shifting around they do with the products. It's nice to know where things are, and I know they shift it around on purpose so you have to wander around and buy more stuff. The value is decent, especially if they have Kirkland brand of whatever you're buying and if you need bulk items. This store is clean and well kept. The customers who shop at this location can be consistently rude, but I won't leave a lower review because of that :) The workers are saints to put up with it! read more

Costco is so much better than other supermarkets and I think the key is that the employees aren't treated so badly. I watched a cashier signal for immediate relief during a busy point (they are always busy) after being berated by a Karen. I though that was really kewl, so I got a fresh breaker-supervisor and not an angry post-Karen victim. Good gas prices, it's never as long a wait as you think, but they don't have car diesel. I am a card carrying member of Costco for 7 years. On the day of my daughter's wedding I went to Costco New Berlin, Wisconsin. I needed cookies for the reception, and I needed to get the task done early. Upon arriving at 9:00Am I was told that I didn't have the right club membership to shop at 9:00 AM and must leave and cone back at 10:00AM. I explained and they told me to leave and come back later. Just this once they could have let me go in and grab a few cookie trays. But No! Very disappointing. read more

Very friendly employees. I go almost weekly. If you have multiple kids, get the fruit and milk. Best prices around. They have a good selection of product and there shoes and clothes are a great deal as well. Pick up a $10 large pizza on your way out the door. It's been several years and I've had more time to take advantage of some additional things Costco has to offer. 1. Vacation packages. In 2019 I saved nearly $800 using Costco to book my vacation (flight, hotel and car rental) to Hawaii. A month prior to leaving there were changes with our flights but customer care was amazing and not only notified me immediately but was able to find a work-around that wouldn't impact my PTO dates or scheduled excursions on the island. 2. Auto services. Competitive prices on tires and the best pricing on batteries in the area. I have purchased a few now for different vehicles and never had an issue. 3. Guest services. So far I've never seen a customer walk away unhappy. I've had nothing but positive experiences dealing with guest services the few times that I've needed to. 4. Online ordering. If an item you're looking for is not in store but available online, shipping is free and fast. Most items have arrived to my home in 2-3 business days. read more

John was very patient in listening to my issues I hade with the CITI account that is attached to our Costco membership. He help me resolve an interest Charge ,that CITI Bank applied ,IN ERROR . He listened to our problem and resolved it quickly !! Thank You Again John !! We were incorrectly charged interest on a balance we had on our Credit Card due to a Fraudulent charge to our account by a Credit Card Skimmer. The Customer service people at CITI Card were Inept and Useless. I was told by CITI Not to pay the Fraudulent charges on our statement by one agent. then they charged us Interest on the Fraudulent Charges . After 5 phone calls they would not wave the interest charges of approximately 250.00 Frustrated by their inability to take responsibility for their error, I turned to John. Customer Service is AWFUL I have an executive membership and dread shopping at this location. They now card you when you walk in, when you get in line, when you're at the register and have to wait in a terribly long line to show your receipt on the way out. I slipped and fell as I left today and the items I was carrying flew everywhere & an employee stepped around me. Think long and hard before joining this club or renewing a membership. This is a warning to anyone thinking of purchasing ready prepared foods at the New Berlin, Wisconsin Costco location. The lids on many of the items are not secure which leaves the food open for someone to accidentally contaminate or possibly even purposely tamper with your food before you buy it. I had a situation that happened to me today when I went to buy a small tray of 4 sandwiches. As I was picking up the tray out of the cart at the check out, the lid popped off and slid across the sandwiches and then into the cart. I immediately thought I can't buy this because the lid that touched the dirty cart just slid across the food. I told the clerk what had happened and said that I wasn't going to purchase it, and that they also shouldn't sell it to anyone else either because of what had happened. He then took the food and I assumed that he was going to discard it. Unfortunately, though, as I was coming back after finding something else to purchase for dinner, I saw that same clerk go and put the food right back in the ready prepared section for someone else to buy. When I asked him why he did that he kept acting like the way I described what happened didn't warrant the food being thrown out. I really wonder if the health department would agree with him? After a brief discussion with a manager I was told that they would make it right by removing the food and then both him and the employee also admitted that the lids come off all the time! Really?! This makes no sense to me that they know this is a problem but nothing is being done. If I purchase ready prepared food at any other grocery store around here, there is at least some type of sticker/tape keeping the container closed. How is Costco getting away with not doing this? Until they take steps to protect the consumer, no one should buy these ready prepared foods. read more

I am not sure how to review a Costco because you either like it or you don't. I will say however, this particular location seems to be ran / managed well. It is usally pretty busy when I come here but yet everything seems to be kept tidy and well organized. There is room for improvement for getting to the checkouts since when it is busy, there is a lot of "traffic jam" moments and it is hard for people to know who is actually in line and who is trying to shop and look at the items right by where the line for checkouts would be. read more

Costco is good for the discounts and prices on items in bulk. I've had a Costco membership for years, for discounted car insurance (Ameriprise, now Connect by AmFam). I've gotten electronics here, and recently added a nice mesh office chair from here to my home "office" during Coronatimes. On a recent Saturday, the store was elbow to elbow packed, no social distancing plan in place, shoppers moving against the grain in every direction. So whatever store assistance to help w/social distancing has disappeared if there ever was a plan. Service at the Checkout is top notch, though, gotta rep the great staff. I'm never at a loss to fill my cart, but also noticed the cheaper quality of a few of the outdoor clothing items- thin and cheap, and did not find snow pants amongst the winter items. To me Costco is good for a few things, and this store is just a-okay. read more

I generally like Costco and have always had good experiences there. This time, however, things were a little different. My wife needed a new set of tires put on her car, so we decided to buy them at Costco and have them put on there as well. When we first arrived at the tire center, there was no one as the desk. I found out that this was not at all unusual. Making it worse is that there was no way to alert anyone that we were waiting. The person who waited on us was polite and friendly, and the tires we purchased were reasonably priced. There was no charge for the installation either, which was terrific. Later that afternoon my wife picked up her car and on the way home, 2 of her wheel covers flew off. We never did find them. The remaining 2 were put on incorrectly and I was amazed they didn't fly off too. We never did find the ones that fell off. The following day we went back to Costco and complained. They told us we could buy a new set and bring in the receipt and they would reimburse us, which they did. We did not, however, get any compensation for all the time we spent making the return trip to complain, the time we spent getting a new set of wheel covers, or the time we spent going back a third time to get reimbursed. I would expect more from a company the size of Costco. read more

We don't spend much time out here but we found ourselves in New Berlin, meeting with a potential DJ for our upcoming wedding and we had a few things that we needed to get and this store was close to that location. The store layout is almost identical to my home store, which I appreciate, making it easier to find the things that I need. We were able to secure most of the items on our list, but was not able to find the flavored waters I like (they are Kirkland Signature carbonated waters, more like those ICE waters than those nasty La Croix), which I found odd. Should we be out in this neck of the woods again, we would certainly stop here. read more

Costco is a pretty uniform business across the board. They don't vary greatly, no matter what state you're in. The choices here are plentiful and they have some great prices on things. Staff is spraying all the carts down with sanitizer. Sampling has been essentially discontinued, although there are still demos being done of products. The produce refrigerator is being limited to only a few people at a time. The safety precautions being taken at this location are excellent. I grew up with Sam's Club down south and never experience Costco until I moved to Wisconsin. I love that I can shop for basically a month or so worth of groceries and never have to go to the grocery store except for produce. I know some people feel a bit overwhelmed or lost in Costco and other big box stores, but once I figure the layout, it's a snap. I can get in and out in about 25-30 minutes. It's a smidge of a drive outside of Milwaukee but nothing too long. A worthwhile membership! read more

I love Costco. Just not this location. We stopped today and grabbed a rotisserie chicken for dinner. Anyone who shops Costco knows these things are generally great - they're huge compared to other stores and just $5. Well, when I cut into it at dinner time, it was still quite raw. I called the store because I figured they'd want to know that a batch was not cooked through (you know, food safety, liability and all that). The guy who answered the phone kept insisting I could bring it back for a refund. Ok, I'm not driving raw chicken 15 miles back to the store for $5, ok? I don't care about a refund, I care about people getting sick. He did connect me with a manager who was very nice but didn't seem terribly concerned either. I offered to send pics, they weren't interested. They're posted here so you can decide if you trust food made at this location. I certainly won't buy anything not prepacked again. read more

This is a great Costco. If you're not a member, I would give it a try. If you don't like it, they'll refund your membership fee. Great return policy and customer service as well. I also highly recommend getting their credit card, it comes with lots of money saving perks including 4% off gas and EV charging and 3% off travel and restaurants. The vision center is excellent as well. I bought a pair of glasses with progressive lenses and had an issue with how they worked. I went back, and they made me a new pair of lenses which were correct. But today I'd like to talk about my satisfaction with the tire center. Last fall I had new tires put on our daughter, my wife and my car. They charge a nominal fee for a mounting, balancing, nitrogen fill and five-year road hazard package. The road hazard warranty turned out to be worth it's weight in gold. This package includes free future tire rotation, nitrogen fills and balancing. Our daughter had the misfortune of hitting a large pothole on the freeway this spring. The front wheel split in half and the tire had a giant slash, the back wheel was bent, and the tire had a gouge in the rubber that went down to the steel belts. Her car is a Cadillac ELR of which there were only about 4000 produced from 2014-2016 and everything about this car is pretty unique including the tire size. Thanks to the road hazard warranty, I took the two ruined tires into Costco to see about replacements. Of course, with the supply chain issues and unique size of these Michelin CrossClimate2 tires, they were unavailable. I spoke with Johnathon, a tire department manager, and he stated he'd do his best to find the two tires even if they would have to buy them from another retailer. I tried, and the Cadillac dealership that I had her car towed to tried to find replacement tires as well. The dealership said sorry, but there aren't any anywhere, and I couldn't find any either. However, I got a call from Johnathon, and he found the two tires we needed somewhere, and they were delivered in two days. Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty to help a customer. I'm always and ever a fan of Costco and this location does not disappoint. Came in on a Saturday and signed up for a membership. The people at the membership counter were quite helpful and really just a wealth of information. After getting all signed up, we decided to do a little shopping (of course). The layout is logical with spacious aisles and plenty of everything in stock. The only thing I found a bit strange was that the beer was in a different area than the liquor and wine. But, beyond that--great! Costco tends to offer high quality product at discounted prices. In my experience, you can get name brand merchandise for the price of other stores lesser/generic brands. I always appreciate Costco's attention to quality. Beyond that, here are a few of my favorite Costco things: +Flowers! Fresh, fabulous, colorful, and a decent deal to boot. Plus, they last well. +Their seasonal section is great. In the summer, they have everything from lawn furniture and landscape lighting to air conditioners and Stand Up Paddle Boards. +Liquor. They have a lovely selection of liquor at prices that simply cannot be beat. +Their salmon with pesto butter. So. Good! +Their ready made caesar salad is a salad by which all other grocery store salads should be judged. All in all, a trip to Costco is never cheap but there are always fun items to be found! So I love Costco been a business member for over 20 years being from CA. Had an encounter with a lady named Amy at the self chk out a few days ago. In WI the customer service difference is leaps below CA. The training is lacking. I was using an EBT card. The card has less available then the purchase so I needed he assistance to complete my transaction. And the women keep saying loudly, "Swipe your EBT" "swipe You EBT" "Go ahead and swipe your EBT card now" I said to her "You dont need to say what kind of card I am using I dont appreciate other people knowing my personal business" She actually looked at me, snickered and said "Oh come on, no one can hear me." I explained, "Yes, they can and its unacceptable for you to say that" She blew my concern off totally and invalidated me request. Then she said "I cant help you, let me get someone else and walked away" This is the 6 time I have complained about staff at this store, I have also complained at Peawaukee and Menomenee Falls. This is standard training. No one needs to mention what type of card it is - I know what card Iam using and its no ones business but mine. I complained to tall young guy who said he was a manager, He agreed but did nothing as I explained to him, This is the third time I have complained about this to you personally. You need to add that to your training program - To be sensitive to your customers, as people I live near, friends, family and old co-workers all shop here and dont need to hear my business from a very insensitive, rude, unable to take constructive criticism employee like Amy. read more

While I haven't fully tapped into Costco's potential, I do see the potential and have bought into it. I've only been a member for about 2 months and have visited 4-5 times, but I see value so far. I find myself going in with a flexible plan (no specific items, just specific needs) for shopping because otherwise the store can overwhelm and you can find yourself leaving with 5,000 paper plates and 10,000 tooth picks. I kid, but you get the idea. For now, I focus on a few areas of my daily life where Costco can save me money, and once I get in a groove, I'll start to expand a bit. For now, meals for breakfast and lunch are my go-to, as well as filling up my gas tank (was $.10 less per gallon than the place by my house). There are deals to be had to justify your annual membership, as long as you have patience and are willing to shop for the deals vs only shopping for your favorite items. I still have a lot to learn at Costco, but I think I'm on the right track. read more

I went through them for a bathroom remodel with Tundraland and I went with a higher quote for an extra panel, they were not able to do that and still charged me for the higher price. They also said it would take a day, maybe a day and a half but they did not finish for over a week so I could not use my shower for 8 days. They were not very organized and did not communicate with each other on what was left to do. I love Costco, I just do! I have been waiting for this location to open, as it is MUCH closer to my house than the one in Pewaukee, my (now former) usual store. This location has slight differences from other locations: the optical department is located near the pharmacy, the food court area is a little smaller and the aisles in the frozen food section are narrower. Because it is a new store, there is special merchandise that won't regularly be carried. We're talking Gucci and other high end handbags ($400 and up) and Samuel Adams Utopias at $170. Get them while you can! ;) If you've been waiting for the hype to die down before you go, just get over there! Regular staples: chicken breast, ground beef, Cabot's sharp white cheddar, eggs, coffee, and of course, golden margaritas. Insider tip:shop the .97's. These are the clearance items. Like the 6.97 lobster bisque or the 9.97 Godiva or even the 297.97 leather loveseat. For the reviews that say Midwestern Costco employees aren't friendly: they are Midwestern friendly. We've been members in CA and GA. The WI employees are just as helpful and friendly as elsewhere. It's a warehouse store! That said, I have always had great service at the Grange location. The employees will always stop what they're doing to help me find something. They seem to know what's in stock and what they're out of. They even looked all over for my mother's keys one day. I have a big family and shop here twice a week! They have great deals on fresh produce, frozen treats and chicken nuggets, coffee and even clothing. I particularly love Costco because they pay their employees and treat them with respect- it makes a difference!! The prices are low, and they still manage to pay living wages. I'm sold! Excellent merchandise selection at very good prices (usually). Their Kirkland branded merchandise is really good. The Kirkland. Rand booze is typically 50% less or more than the name brand and it's usually just as good. The parking lot is a bit strange so avoid the weekends if you can. read more
