We went to go to pick out some work shirts. The store had a great selection, but at checkout I wanted to use my mom's phone number to gift her the discounts from our $100+ purchase as she shops there frequently and we shop there once a year. The clerk refused stating that we need to open our own account to get discounts for us. I asked my wife to sign up just to get out of the situation and after we checked out the clerk was condescending about how we shouldn't give my mom the discount and we should use it for us. I had two very upsetting experiences at this Kohl's location -- once on October 30th and again recently. On both visits, I brought an Amazon return to the desk while wearing a shirt that referenced Israel. Each time, the employee at the desk noticeably reacted with visible agitation when she read my shirt. She made a frustrated or disgusted noise and gave me a harsh look. When I thanked her and wished her a nice day, she responded again with what sounded like a harsh growl or grunt -- but I noticed she was friendly and polite with other customers. I left feeling disrespected and discriminated against because of what my shirt said. I hope Kohl's takes incidents like this seriously and reminds employees that all customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of their background or beliefs. I did attempt to contact the store manager at the time and did report my concern. I felt dismissed, however, as the manager appeared to be in a hurry and gradually walked away as I was describing what occurred. I have nothing against the store- they have nice employees. However, ordering from Kohls.com is an ordeal! I ordered 8 items (one was just to get to the free shipping threshold). Got one item in 2 days. Next package showed delivered but I never received with 4 items in it. Third package I did get with 3 items. Last item is "on its way". So I chatted on line with a rep over my missing package. I said I live in a high rise with a doorman who did not get a package on Sunday when it was supposedly delivered. My chat was switched to a manager who said that my account shows it was under investigation for trends of this happening. WHAT!?! I don't have a Kohl's account and haven't ordered from them in years. I was promptly disconnected. So I called customer service and had a nice hold time of about 22 minutes. The rep who finally answered agreed that I don't have an account so no idea why I was told that. He was going to send me new shipment but alas, the sales items are no longer in stock. This Kohl's store is one step ahead of the rest.  The staff is friendly beyond belief.  There is almost always someone working in each section and if not, go to the customer service counter.  They are incredible.  Kohl's actually helped be re-establish my credit.  It may sound crazy but charging a little on my Kohl's and paying it off regularly has helped raise my credit score. Proof that you never need to spend more than 30 bucks for a good tie, 10 bucks for 3 pairs of socks or 10 bucks for 3 t-shirts. Awesome selection of shoes and men's clothes. And, the fact, that they have some awesome employees who give back stuff that they find. Can you imagine someone handing that over. It was a staffer. Awesome guy. #ThankYouThursday2021 I always enjoy shopping at Kohl's, I just never think to go often enough. I'm glad I visited this Lincoln Park-ish location. It's easy to get to and offers a ton of free parking. The store itself is spacious and spread out over two floors. I love having room to shop and find a larger store offers more merchandise. They even have the traditional customer service desk in the back of the store. Everyone knows Kohl's always has sales, sales, sales!! This store is no different. So you can find nice items at great prices. Then, you always get Kohl's Bucks for future shopping. In addition to clothes and shoes, you can find accessories, sleepwear, jewelry, housewares, gifts and even a Sephora store. The check out system is a breeze. They were fully staffed and the queue was very organized. The lady who checked me out was so friendly and helpful. Overall, Kohl's is a great go to department store for many things. read more

I love shopping at Kohls! 30% on Clearance items that are 80% off already? It doesn't even make sense! I bought a $60 Nike Hoody for $16.38 today. All of last years winter stuff is up to 80% off right now. Get ready for winter while it's cheap! Use the app too for Curbside Pickup and it makes it easier to see which items qualify for your 20-30% coupon. They always offer huge discounts in store when you apply for their store card. It's a great card to build credit with and you typically only need fair credit to get approved. I hope this was helpful!!! I don't think I have been to Kohl's in ages but Amazon brought me here. I had directed to drop off my Amazon return item at my nearest Kohl's which was the Bucktown location. When I arrived in the store I was able to quickly locate the Amazon return center. It was literally right by the entrance. The women that were working the return desk were very sweet. They both greeted me with a smile and kept up light conversation. The overall process was very smooth and I was given a 20% Kohl's discount that I was able to use right away. After returning my item I went to try and find a replacement item and use that discount. The store is remarkably clean and well organized. The employee I ran into was able to quickly point me in the direction of where I needed to go. Kohl's has discounts on top of discounts. I was able to find an item that was originally $50 discounted to $36 and some change but was able to add my 20% discount on top of that. I was so impressed and at that moment knew I needed to make my way to Kohl's a lot more! read more

Another super successful shopping trip at this location, my favorite-of-all-time Kohls! I got a bunch of great stuff today with my sweeeeeet 30% off coupon! 3 pairs of ballet flats, a ridiculous pair of Jennifer Lopez boots I've been coveting and two work blouses...for a mere $114. I always feel so satisfied at the register! I never can believe that I made out like a bandit! May I mention the Jlo boots, when they first came out, were $99. My price today? 53.97 -30% or 37.78. Fab-u-lous. I'm normally a big cheap-ass and won't pay more than $20 for shoes, but these are some really cute, well made boots so I'm gonna rock 'em all Winter...and the next, so they were worth it! I also totally appreciated that adorable and sweet cashier Katelyn gave me my $20 Kohls cash (which is how they addict you!) and explained to check the dates carefully, as there was one day I could still use my 30% coupon AND my $20 Kohls cash on the same day! The store has been closed since March due to COVID and now in June they've opened back up. I went in for a few items and everything was neat and orderly, but covered in dust! The shelves hadn't been dusted in 3 mos, the clothes, items, purses, shoes... So obviously during the lock down they didn't have associates come in the store to make sure things stayed clean and make sure the clothes were not collecting dust. I picked out some things I wanted but was anxious about it because the clothes were just too dirty. And the store was also looted but they're still trying to make money on dusty and damaged items. And then they only had 4 registers open due to social distancing. The line wrapped almost around the entire first floor and it was about a 45min. wait. After standing in line for 25 minutes and still not getting any closer to the register, I decided to put the dusty dirty clothes back and spend my money elsewhere. read more

I like coming to this location because the racks are always pretty organized and I don't have to scavenge around too hard looking for the size that I need. I usually come come here to get clothes for my daughter or birthday presents for other kids. They have a great children's section for clothes with a lot of selection. The toy department could use a little bit of help and perhaps offer more items. But I have come to realize that Kohl's toy departments at other locations are not the best either. I guess because they are more focused on clothing rather than toys? The whole store overall looks clean, organized, and labelled correctly with the marketing reflecting the promotion that's going on. I like shopping in that type of environment! Anyways, another reason I enjoy shopping here is for the discount whenever I use my Kohl's credit card. You can stack these up with other coupons that you may have also. Other department store will only let you use one at a time. read more

When in need, this Kohl's gets the job done. However, I don't like it at all for picking up online orders and will stick to the Kohl's near my work when I have that option. The good about this Kohl's - Huge parking lot! Huge store so there is a large selection of everything. The not so great - Customer Service is on the second floor and a very lengthy walk, making Site2Store pickup very cumbersome. Defeats the convenience purpose of this service. They need a bit of a layout change. Customer service is uber hipster. No greeting, just looked at my phone when I said I was picking up an order, casually grabbed my items, handed them to me. Kinda weird not getting a hello and thank you/see ya. So yea....not my preferred Kohl's but I shall continue going when I must. read more

This is the WORST shopping experience of my life!!! I never shop here because of the jacked-up prices and the coupon bullshi*t, but I needed shelves and no one else had them. Turns out, I am not going to keep them. I went to return them today, and they won't give me a full refund. They want to keep $10 of my money. After further investigation, it turns out someone used my Kohl's cash!!! I probably told the clerk I didn't care about the Kohl's cash, and what do you want to bet, she cashed in my Kohl's cash, and now Kohl's won't give me a full refund. AND, they have no way of tracking it unless I call corporate. I never shop here because all the prices are jacked-up, and You can't get a "regular" price on anything unless you have a coupon. The one time I do buy something here, I can't even get my full refund? I will call corporate tomorrow, because this store can't help. I think 3 out of 5 of my family has worked for Kohl's at some point in their lives. Weird- I've never realized that before! Anyway, this Kohl's has a pretty good selection and is kept pretty clean. Parking on the 2nd floor tier of the parking ramp is ample and steps away from the store. So skip pretending you're handicapped just to park on the first floor lot and get on up there! Christmas sales abound now and as I looked for the almost-perfect last minute gift for my mom I was happy that Kohl's carried name brands like Martha Stewart cookware, Rachel Ray, Vera Wang and Chaps PJ's and the like for me to choose from. Since Kohl's are seemingly everywhere, a Gift Receipt can be easily obtained if the awesome PJ's I chose don't fit her! This Kohl's Toy department is tiny, but I was still able to get a Star Wars action figure, for that last minute stocking stuffer. The first rule of thumb when you shop retail is never buy anything that isn't on sale. (Because everything goes on sale soon enough). Seemingly everything is on sale now for the Holidays! Slip sliding away. This is for both Kohl's and Amazon returns. I'll start with Amazon, you'll find their setup on the first level at this location, setup very prominently can't miss it, well unless you park on the second level that is less crowded and where Kohl's customer service desk is for their returns, but no, not Amazon. Hey folks put up a sign, maybe something like, "Amazon Returns lower level" this may help. After waiting in line for several minutes only to be told to go downstairs. Finally find it and the guy behind the counter is as sweet as can be, however he shared his frustration that the QR code wasn't working, he also said they've been having issues with it for a while now. I had to cancel my return sign back in and redo the return, he was helpful and patient, he deserves five stars. He then gave me a coupon for 25% off of a Kohl's item for my trouble. He also gave one to the poor soul that got stuck behind me. The coupon expires in a week, knowing full well that I wasn't the biggest Kohl's shopper and would not be back in a week, I decided to look around. I did find a decent pair of black leggings, and took advantage of a sale price and the coupon. The line moved fast enough despite holiday shoppers, the cashier wasn't enthusiastic or even mildly happy to be alive. She pretty much didn't say anything, grabbed a bag and started to dump the leggings in it, so I finally spoke up and asked, is there a charge for the bag? She's replies, "yeah, you know by now there's a charge." So I hit back with, "then you should ask if I want a bag." I can manage to carry one item out of the store. The assumption is irritating that I'm okay with being charged for something I didn't ask for, I know it's just .07 cents, not going to break the bank, but I really just didn't need a big shopping bag for one item. Overall, 'meh. Amazon returns great idea, first level, keep shipping label on your phone, you don't have to print it out or box your return, they'll handle it. read more

The reason they don't get more is because the ENTIRE TIME I was in this store, I was followed by managers and the mullet wearing security guard that looks like Jackie from Roseanne. I've been to this location SEVERAL TIMES and have NEVER been followed, EVER!!! I understand due to recent events that security has to be in high alert BUT I am not trying to steal or loot! The Black Friday sale here is not for amateurs. I felt very overwhelmed in the store. Yes, most of the store is on sale. However it was hard to tell the sale price for several items. Also, almost all of the big items I purchased came with rebates. I hate rebates. I don't always remember to mail them in, and then it feels like I'm getting extra money back later, but in fact I already calculated the discount into my head when I originally bought the item. Let me first say, this review is only for the returns and customer service. Haven't shopped here and dealt with the check out portion of the store, which is where I see a lot of complaints about. Went here to exchange cookware I had gotten as a gift, as the top to one of the pots broke. Told the customer service girl at returns what happened and after explaining it was a gift and I didn't have a receipt, she said she thought they still had it and if so I could grab a new one and just switch it out. Went and got the new one, and 10 minutes after arriving, I was leaving. She literally scanned the new one, slapped a sticker on it, apologized and said have a great day. Great customer service and very friendly employee I dealt with. If only all stores were nice like this and had such nice and simple return policies. read more

There's more trash that your stepping over or thru then in a downtown alley. Everything looks overgrown and neglected. Please don't shop here!!! Worst experience I've ever had. I went in to buy school clothes. The woman at the counter asked me if I wanted to check if I still had a Kohl's charge card. I said yes, "please look up IF I still have one." Then she asks a few more times if I would like to use it. I say no every time. Finally, she lets me use another debit card. I put the card in with the PIN number. The receipt comes out. Everything sounds great right? Nope. Come to find out 1 1/2 month later, she charged it to my Kohl's card. I tried to call the store and corporate and both people told me that the lady at the counter had the right to charge it because I asked her to check if I still had one??
