i haven't bought jeans in several years and have lost weight in that time so i had no clue what size i would be or even what style i would look good in. the staff was super accommodating and we went off of the size that i used to get and we worked our way down from there... they brought me several different styles to try on and i was able to leave with two pairs of jeans (for $104, one was 50% off!!) that im in love with! im so thankful for this store and im also thankful that its so accessible. read more

Every time I walk into this place, the employees always greet me. They always inform me of the deals or promos they have. Great customer service. Professional and very helpful. There were two employees, both of whom were helpful and friendly. I asked about their loosest cut jeans from one of them and he directed me to the right section. The second employee helped me get the right sizes, even offered to check their stock at the back if said sizes weren't on the shelves. I rarely post reviews, but I visited this Levi's store today and the service and selection were exceptional!! Everyone was so knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Really a 3.5 but I didn't want to go 3. Friendly and helpful enough, however the first person that started with me disappeared after I hit the dressing room. Another sales associate then picked up the slack, and found some stuff for me to try on. When I was done with that the original person showed back up, a break or something? This felt as disjointed as the sizing, I seemed to be hitting all the wrong stuff, too tight, too loose, oh wait these are just right but dang too short. There was on pair I really liked, but a 28" inseam? I like those and they were designed (imo) to be worn with boots or high tops, okay I can do that, but they're still to short. If I were to cuff them, I'd look like an idiot. It was recommended that I try one of the outlets that carried more stock and size combinations. So today I hit the outlet in Rosement where I did find some stuff. read more

When I walked into this store, it seemed like all the employees were shy or just didn't really care about their job. I didn't exactly have an issue with any of the staff, but I definitely love being greeting with a smile when I walk in. No one asked if I needed help with anything or if they can help find me a size, it was basically walk in, get your own fitting room, pay, leave... I love when I don't have to travel to Michigan Ave to get a good sale on something considered "fashionable". When I heard that the Levi's store was moving to my weekly haunts I thought I was dreaming...well lucky me it was a reality! I'm not thin and hate the thought of squeezing into jeans, but with my favorite pair of Levi's it's never an issue. Not to mention, when you frequent this place as often as I do, you get more than a couple chances at a sale, which last time I was there was 50% off my favorite jeans!! You know I stocked up! Why are jeans blue? Blue is NOT my color, but after over three long decades the peer pressure finally got to me and I broke down and almost bought a pair of 507s. The staff tried their best to make that easy for me- I had a different salesperson at each of my two visits, and both knew in an instant where to find the few pairs of jeans that would come somewhat close to fitting my mutant size 32x36. There were some cool designs that actually got me excited about the color blue- slim boot cut and destructed washes. One fit me perfectly but was about 4 inches too short, another got the length right but made me look like a gangbanger. In summary- I couldn't be trendy if I tried, but at least now I can say that I did try. For the rest of y'all normal-shaped rascals, this place actually kinda rocks, much more personable than the Michigan Avenue shop. read more

Kinda surprised by these other reviews... First off, I love Levi's. They are the only brand of jeans I own. So you can imagine my delight when I just happened to be walking past this store today. I went in and an employee said "hi," and then continued laughing and talking to another employee. Ok..that's cool dude. But after browsing for 10 minutes among the piles and racks of cuts, colors, sizes, and this new Curve ID bs, I would like a little assistance. At least measure my ass and tell me if I am straight, slight, or demi. (wtf?) The employees seemed like they were too engrossed in their conversations to even notice I was in the store. This is expected if I am shopping for Levi's at a store like Macy's, but at the actual Levi's store? Come on... Never again. read more

I think the Levi's commercial that got me thinking about the style different'y is the one where you just see the jeans and clothes and it's an invisible woman with a guy and the Marvin Gaye song, "Let's Get it On" going on in the background and the invisible mom coming and ringing the doorbell. Well there's such a variety of jeans and washes here. I truly appreciate the clean classic look that are here. You can find some great sales and prices here. The staff was also very friendly. I am loving the continued Lincoln Parkization of Wicker Park! I've always dug the Levi's Store (except for the period when their designs went all Abercrombie on me), so I have to say it's nice to have one a short ride on the 56 away from me. They pack a ton of stuff in this store, and it seems like at any given time half of it is on sale--whether the awesome prices are a side effect of them moving all their manufacturing to Mexico I dunno. Levi's stores are so uninspiring to me for some reason. This was no different the most intriguing thing here was the associate with the colorful tattoos. Yeah, they were hot... (the tattoos that is.) I gotta respect them though because they bring designer designs to the masses for cheaper. I find other brands on the same tier actually fit me better like Gap or BR, I'm kinda picky on the fit of jeans my lower half is kinda odd compared to most other dudes. The tops here what really earns this place 3 stars though. Maybe it was just the trend of this season but all the stuff looked like Hollister/ A&F to me for some reason. To be spending 100+ on jeans the customer service wasn't that great. I wasn't greeted coming in and it was pretty slow. When someone did come over she said hello, although with jeans in hand she didn't ask to start me a room so I asked her. After that she dropped me off and never came back and checked. So I had to make multiple trips in and out of the fitting room just to find the right size. There was an associate in the fitting room helping someone else but said nothing to me. I wear jeans until they're basically falling apart. Not because I'm cheap (I am) or like the worn look (I do), but mostly because I hate shopping for them. And if I'm only jeans shopping once every two or three years, I want it to be as quick and painless an experience as possible. Good on the Levi's folks for making this happen. Very helpful staff members, lots of changing rooms (although they didn't have any hooks, which seemed odd), and with the clearance rack, plenty of good deals to be had. Shopping for pants is awful. I don't know anyone that loves pants shopping. What kind of monster are you, if you love shopping for pants? Probably David Beckham or someone with an equally perfect rear. Anyway, like a fool, I roll up in here and try on a cut and had no idea what to do with myself. One size is way too big, the next size down is way too small. Jesus take the wheel. Enter super nice retail worker, who then spent the next twenty minutes helping me figure out what product of theirs I was actually looking for. Their selection is massive, and it can be daunting, so this is something I really appreciated. Thanks to this retail spot for not making buying pants that awful. I know it doesn't sound like an important thing, to make someone's pants buying experience not suck, but it really did improve my day. read more

Although I received excellent customer service from a gentleman with a hightop fade (sorry, dont remember your name), no one at the store will remind you that the WEBSITE is at least $10 cheaper per pair of the exact same jeans. When I called, the store is FULLY AWARE of this price discrepancy and will just tell you 'sorry'. Try your jeans on there, find the right pair, then order them online. I had a really good experience when I went in for the first time. I never been to a Levi store before, I went with a friend. The staff there is super friendly. He measured me and helped to pick out the jeans that are best fits for me. I wasn't planning on purchasing at all. But I ended up getting a pair. Levi's really don't get the respect they deserve. I mean they practically invented the one piece of clothing that is the favorite of just about most Americans. They are the template for which all designer jeans are built today......while some chad or............what do you call the dudes at Spy Bar and Rockit???? While those guys are walking around with shoes so pointy the wicked witch of the west would be envious and jeans made to look wrinkled....worn....worn out, etc.....Levi's..........over 100 years ago, was making a product that miners and cowboys wore because they needed to...not wanted to......but forgive me for the history lesson. This store ACTUALLY has an equal amount of women's AND men's clothes....and I'm not a clothes horse mind you, just a guy that hates that we don't have much in the way of selection when it comes to clothes. The staff are nice and are quick to ask or answer questions. They carry a full line of Levi products, but I was there for the jeans....514s in particular....a slim fit, albeit not skinny type, of jean. They had them and in several colors. So, yeah....the little red tag on the back pocket is a dead giveaway that perhaps you are a bit cheap or lack the most current up to date style, but to me, Levi's are a good solid product that has stood the test of time and this store does a great job of selling them. read more

Along with many other things, I loathe shopping for clothes. I hate dragging an armful of items into the fitting room only to find that none of them fit well. Then I have to re-dress, grab all my belongings and start the process again. This happens over and over until I decide that "maybe this fits well enough" or "I'll just be a nudist". Thankfully my experience at the Levi's store was made less painful by a very helpful and patient staff member. Seeing the fear in my eyes as I gazed at the plethora of pants in front of me, she offered to check my measurements and make some recommendations. She grabbed a couple adjacent sizes to be safe, then returned frequently to check on my progress. I was happy with the results. I've been to the Michigan Avenue location before and hated it. The jeans were all hooked on the long wall and it was impossible to find my size or figure out the different styles. Plus, the other tops there just seemed sort of teeny-bopper. Wasn't a fan. So I was actually pleasantly surprised to walk into this store. It's smaller but also seems a bit more mature in what they offer. The jeans are arranged on shelves on the side wall and are clearly marked by style and size. There isn't a wide variety of tops but they're certainly things I could wear out and not worry that I'd be dressing like a 14-year-old. Right now they seem to have a lot of fall stuff coming in so there isn't too much (other than jeans) that can be worn right now. But I'll certainly go back for some cords as the weather gets colder. read more

I'm back on the Levi's. I had a personal boycott going against denim for several years. It was corduroy or slacks only for me. I don't remember why. Then I came back to the realization that jeans go with everything and you can wear them forever. After experimenting with several other brands with partial success, I then walked into the Levi's store. Guess what? They carry jeans. Lots of em. And they have almost every style and color. This store has a nice selection of jeans and it seems like the selections are more on the skinny-hipster side than the overweight tourist sizes that are in preponderance at the Michigan Ave store. Went to the Levi store and had a very pleasant experience. I usually buy the same pair of jeans but AJ approached me and encouraged me to try different styles and even was willing to pull different sizes that looked absolutely great. AJ help us both find the perfect fit and was careful to recommend with his expertise which pairs of denim would work. We intended on buying just one pair each but walked out with several. At the end Adrian checked us out and also had good recommendations on how to care for the jeans. Overall great customer service to the entire team and we will be back thank you. read more

Horrible customer service... I called in regards of a pair of jeans I needed for work, and the guy who's answering the phone was NOT helpful at all whatsoever. He had the worse attitude EVER, wouldn't even help me find a location that carries the jeans I needed in my size. His tone and delivery made me not even want to shop with Levi EVER AGAIN!!!
