The service desk associates are clueless! My husband at 2 different times needed to bring an online return for me. I gave my husband all the info he needed to have the return go smoothly. He calls me and tells me they could not process the return. A supervisor or manager had to assist. Again, similar scenario happened again on another day. TWO associates were clueless! My husband left the store and return was not processed. I called the store and spoke to someone. She seemed to know what should have been done. Because of their awful track record, I called again to see if I'd be given the same info. She tells me exactly what is needed which was different. I could tell she knew her job. Then she assures me anyone will be able to process the return. Their system is awful and outdated! why could they not look up my order or look up my husband's credit card??? read more

This is the second time this store has sent me or pressured me into signing up for their credit card. This last time, I never signed up for a credit card, however, I was sent one. I quickly called and cancelled it over the phone. So be careful at the check out counter. I did some research regarding Kohl's credit card practices, and apparently there is a continued push to sign customers up for their credit cards. I will not be shopping at any Kohl's from now on. read more

If you order online for in-store pickup, the system will capriciously assign you either the universally-easy front-of-store pickup desk, or the able-ist "self-pick-up" located way in the back corner of the store. Twice the staff had a chance to make things a little easier for a customer with disabilities, and twice they chose not to help this customer at all. (The store was nearly empty of customers both times.) So this customer will chose not to spend any more money at Kohl's. read more

I was in Kohl's Burlington today, and a clerk at the customer service counter was sick. Red runny nose, hoarse voice. I asked her shouldn't she be home, and she said she couldn't stay home for a cold because she needs the money. I asked wasn't there a policy that anyone sick should stay home, and she said no. I asked for the manager, who said they couldn't make employees stay home. Back in my car, I called Kohl's corporate office, and was told they do not have a policy requiring sick employees to stay home. I suggested they establish one. This is crazy. I don't know what her disease was, but even if it was just a common cold, she should not be spreading it around, not only to other employees, but to customers too. read more

This review is for their online service. Their online Customer Service is a nightmare. After checking out my order I realized I had forgotten to put in a promo code. There is no place to make a correction online and there are no phone numbers to call. Their automated customer service is laughable because you can't get help. Kohls is deceitful to their customers. I finally found a representative who was very nice and told me he would email me a credit. I did not receive that credit. Dealing with Kohls is very frustrating and discouraging. Whoever designed this particular Kohl's seemed to be under the impression that the men in Burlington like to buy lots of clothes off the rack and take them immediately to the cashier, assuming they will fit perfectly. This particular Kohl's had a huge amount of clothes. Normally, that would be a good thing. But the men's dressing room has exactly TWO booths. So of course every man who wanted to try things on brought a large number of items to try them all at once. I don't think I have EVER seen a line at a men's fitting room in all my life until today. As I was checking out, I was also unpleasantly surprised to not get Kohl's Cash after combing the store for items I was willing to take, including a nice discount I already had, to reach the $50 minimum. While it is evident from the Kohl's website and the employees with whom I discussed this in the store that evidently you don't get them all the time, quite frankly I have gotten Kohl's Cash EVERY time I have made a sufficiently large purchase at any Kohl's in New Hampshire or New York. So in this case, I got my savings by returning something I had just bought. There was no hassle with that at all; Kohl's is very good about that. If rewarding you with Kohl's Cash depends on the sale or the location at which you are shopping, I wish they would make that a bit more obvious. This doesn't mean I won't shop at Kohl's. It just means I'm much less likely to shop at this particular one. read more

Horrifying and discriminatory customer service experience on 8/11/19. "Manager" refused to honor clearance price on the item being purchased. She said we had to pay over twice what it was listed as. She actually tried to pick off the sticker. It was implied that we had stuck it on there, as neither she nor cashier would ever answer the question: why is that the listed price if it is supposedly wrong? This "manager" refused to answer questions, yelled, and berated. She stormed off, with the item, without any resolution. One member of our party was in a wheelchair and she never acknowledged/spoke to that person at all when they were speaking. They were completely ignored. We asked to speak to the manager and cashier told us that person was it. Asked to speak to her supervisor, we were told that was it. Asked for corporate's info, we were given nothing. Completely in shock and upset, we left. Furthermore, the Burlington, MA store is not ADA compliant. The aisles are not as wide as they are required by law to be. The restroom is a little better, but the toilet seat covers are not reachable. And this "manager" was seen/heard during our shopping...she was loudly complaining about her shift and Kohl's in general. Very unprofessional. We reached out to Kohl's Customer Service the next day. We were assured that we would hear from someone via email about the status of our complaint. Nothing. We have photo of the "manager"...but, not sure if the cashier told us a fake name of the "manager." - she wasn't wearing a name tag (also against store policy). Kohl's is one of the stores that I shop at frequently because of the deals. Between Kohl's Cash, the coupons ranging from $5 off, to the 20% off, to even 30% off, it's a great place to shop. me Unfortunately, since this Kohl's is so close to the one in Woburn, it's very subpar in comparison to the normal Kohl's stores I shop at regularly (I don't live in the area). Staff at checkout and at the return desk are knowledgeable and are pretty good at keeping the lines here to a minimum... always a plus. The store was also FULLY stocked in the clearance section. I love clearance, so this specific store was a goldmine for cool stuff... even from the spring! For the rest of the store..... uh, ugh. The men's section wasn't nearly the size of other Kohl's stores, and certain displays were in shambles. I would never buy anything on a rack that looks like it had been already tried on by a dozen people. Store management definitely needs to do a better job keeping everything organized in the men's section! Otherwise, it's good for the basics, and had a ton of licensed Boston sports teams clothing. And also, be careful walking around the store. In comparison to the newer Kohl's, the floor goes from tiles to cement, with a small step down. I watched someone almost trip and fall. This building has always housed kind of the low-end of discount department stores -- Bradlees, Ames, and now Kohl's. Kohl's has tried to become more upscale in the past half-decade, bringing in designer and celebrity names like Vera Wang (her "Simply Vera" line) and Daisy Fuentes, and expanding their ranges of mid-range designers like Candie's, Levi, and Chaps. They've sort of succeeded in their efforts. The overall quality and style of their clothes has improved. But it's still messy and extremely unorganised in every possible way a store could be messy and unorganised. People who work there -- if you can find them -- are either helpful, bitter, surly, or bossy depending on their age and gender. No one cares if you take thirty-five things into the dressing room instead of five (guilty), but they also don't care if a small child is in the dressing room throwing Cheez-Its everywhere either. I'm a clearance rack girl, and I got some great things today. A few really pretty wardrobe staples that have been on my list for a while (particularly fond of the white blouse with ruffle & french cuffs and the khaki short shorts) and many badly-needed bras (cute, sexy, *and* utilitarian ones) with an average cost of just under $5, a couple bra & pantie sets at around $8 each, and several pairs of underwear at an average of about $1.50 each. Minus the 15% discount I got for using a Kohl's card with their current store-wide sale (thanks for doing that in exchange for cash, Mom). I'll go back to this store again. In fact I'll be going back tomorrow, to pick up at least one of the three bras I put on hold to consider overnight. But sorry Kohl's, while you've succeeded in reinventing what you sell -- the environment of your store, your staff, and your customers still make you low-end. read more

Kohlrabi would not boy or my $120 kohl's cash given the day before Covid. I was unable to go to the store due to a health concern. The will not join or it because it ran out in zJuly which I could not be there fir. I spent a lot of money and find this to be bad practice on there kart. They need to understand I could not go into the store during that time, but they will not ! Shame on them. I was willing to shop and spend more money but never again. These are difficult times and I obviously spent a lot of money at that store, but they do not seem to care. Bad customer service and they have lost my business !! read more

Good store for the occasional sale on necessities. White shirts, ties, shoes for work. Otherwise, it's nothing special. The store is many times unfortunately a bit of a mess. That's more due to a lot of incredibly thoughtless people that could care less about the fact that someone else has to clean up after them. God forbid those same people have already had children. And many have. And they're terrible role models. Aside from being a bit understaffed, and being unremarkable otherwise, it's not a bad place to go to to find some rather random things. I recently found a small shoe rack there that to my surprise was on sale from 35$ down to only 11$. Little deals like that on stuff make me go back. read more

Visiting from out of town and bought a pair of sneakers but the cashier forgot to remove security tag. When I called I was told there is nothing they can do about it unless I bring the sneakers to a Kohl's store with the receipt. The two managers I spoke with didn't seem sincere with their apology. It seems as if it happens often. Buyer beware of cashiers who forget to remove tags and poor management that doesn't make sure the alarm systems are working. The alarm should have gone off when I walked out the door. The funny thing is that when you call their greeting is that they'll exceed your expectations. read more

I received poor customer service from Karen at the register. I picked out all of my items and brought them to the register. I wasn't allowed to use my Kohls cash 1 day before it was valid but I was told I could come back the next day. I came back the next day and they were closed. Other cashiers have made an exception before and have even let me use it a day late. If Karen had at least been friendly about it I probably wouldn't care. My 79 year old mother and I went to Kohls and went to checkout at about 5 of 10. We were treated so poorly that my mom was short of breath and very upset. We have NEVER been treated as such an inconvenience in any other store EVER. The sales woman, when she found out my mom and I were together sniped, " I can NOT ring you both up, you have to much, you have to put half on hold, we want to go home you know". "We have been on our feet all day, we dont want to be stuck ringing in people who come up late". We couldn't believe it. She them pointed at my mother and said " Im NOT helping you, you have to much. You need to go find another cashier, if one will take you". So another sales lady yells across the room, "Come here now, I will help you". The other cashier says, to my 79 year old mother, " Hurry up, get over there, go, go go, we want to get home you know"... As my mom was starting to move the 2nd cashier yells " If you dont hurry up and get here I'm taking someone else". She's 79 with a muscle disease. She was going as fast as she could. Half way thru my order she gripes, " This is to much, I have to put everything else on hold, or I'll be here all night". There was maybe 10 things left. I told my mom we would have to come again tomorrow because stuff needed to be put on hold, and she jumps in saying " Just forget it, I am ringing it all thru now." What the hell....She proceeded to roll all my items into a ball and throw them in the bag. She was pissed and let me know it. The cashier waiting on my mom was just as rude and belittling. My mom was coming over to get a coupon from me and she said " You stay here, you can not get that coupon." She came anyways. And she took all my mom's item, and threw them in the bags, hangers and all. A big messy heap of clothing. With another coupon my mom had, one that she didn't realize had not started yet, the 2nd cashier sniped "See, I told you not to get it ". There were other rude comments made, but we cant remember every one. There was a customer behind us who was shocked also at the behavior. We were very embarred.We have NEVER been made to feel like second hand citizens and complete inconveniences EVER!! We are taking ALL the items back and returning them ALL. We refuse to give a store that has employees with minus 1000 in customer service our money. My mom literally spends THOUSANDS of dollars there, as do I. No more. No more Kohls for us. " read more

I love shopping at kohls. I have been to a lot of their shops and not all are the same. Some are kind of ghetto. Not the Burlington kohls. This is one of their best stores. It's always well organized and definitely not messy. I've never had to deal with an overly pushy employee like at some of their other stores (trying to push the kohls credit card at you). On weekends they have plenty of registers open so the wait is not long. There's almost always some kind of deal or sale going on. Their clothes are not the most stylish by any means but they are great for basics. I love their house stuff. read more

Went to this kohl's for the first time to do some returns. Was happy to see that customer service is right in the front. Usually all the other locations i have been too have had their customer service departments in the back of the store or even the 2nd floor. I appreciated the swiftness of the line however no one looked happy, at all. We received decent customer service and I was on my way in about 5 minutes. It was the day before Mother's day, so when heading to check out i was expecting a long line, however I only had to wait a minute or so. My cashier was super friendly and even cracked a joke. I had passed this Kohl's so many times and never have gone in. Glad i had the chance, it was an enjoyable experience. Hope to return soon with my kohl's cash. read more

This is quite a busy Kohl's as it's understandable due to their wide selection of items and being across the mall in Burlington. The amount of items this place has is similar to the other Kohl sites we have visited so far. The layout can be a pain though as it can be quite a walk to checkout. I am a fan of Kohls but I think they need a better petite section. Their petite clothing is styled for older woman, not woman in their 30s. I need clothes to wear to work but 95% of the time I can't find anything because the styles and designs are too old for me. I think they should have a career section. Even the Juniors section... most of their clothing is every day street clothes. It would be nice if you could find some decent career clothing there. I've found a few nice tops that I thought I could wear to work, but then I turned it around and saw that it was an entirely open back with just a string to hold it closed. read more

I've shopped @ this store approx. 10 times. I try to go during the hours when typically it's not that busy. Yes, it's messy in the clearance section but, part of the fun is the search. LOL All joking aside...even the clearance section wasn't that messy. One day I was looking for bras by a certain brand in my particular size. There was an elderly sales associate who was very helpful & told me if they found my size in the brand I wanted...they would hold them for me. Which btw, they did. Other parts of the store that was not clearance...was relatively well kept. I have been to the Kohl's in Medford once. That store was very messy & the sales associates did not seem as helpful as the ones in Burlington. I am sympathetic to those in retail because I used to be in retail myself. read more

I don't particularly like department stores, but, on January 20, 2015 I wanted to buy a specific brand of luggage (IT lightweight) and only Kohl's had it in stock. Not wanting black, as that is the color most often mistaken by others as being their suitcase, I selected the one non-black large IT suitcase in the Burlington store, but was then helped by a wonderful sales associate (Angel, maybe, was her name) to locate another colorful IT large suitcase in the Walpole store that same night. There was a "buy one and get the second for half price" deal; the customer service employees in the Walpole store, once I showed them the sales receipt for the first suitcase I had just bought in the Burlington store, immediately allowed me to buy the second suitcase for half price with no hassle. That by itself was a pleasant surprise. Now fast forward to today. My husband and I took these two suitcases on a 19 day trip to South America. We got back only a couple of days ago with the two suitcases, both of which had significant tears in the fabric at the edges of the suitcases; this is clearly a defect as no suitcase should be deteriorating that quickly. One suitcase also had a hard piece of metal or plastic beginning to stick out at the top edge. I brought them back to Kohl's with the sales slip in hand, showing that the suitcases were less than a month old. With no hassle at all, they refunded the cost of the two suitcases and were extremely pleasant. While this may not seem extraordinary, I found the Kohl's employees, both when I was searching for the suitcases as well as when I was returning them, to be 100% helpful, pleasant, and competent. Given the level of service in so many stores, maybe this really was extraordinary! read more

Huge store. Super cheap and the cloths look pretty good, but not great-- like you can tell they aren't made from a company that makes great stuff cause the shirts might look a little boxy I guess. Sort of like when you buy a hat from a generic hat maker that writes boston red sox versus buying a boston red sox hat. They just look a little different. That's sort of what Kohls cloths are like compared to some other stores. But Kohls is way cheaper and a lot of the time it looks just as good. read more

SCAM WARNING! The clothes are bargain-level quality, but I usually find something I like. It is very clean and lots of choice. However I think people should understand their business model. They don't make money from profit margin on clothes. They make it by pressuring people into signing up for credit cards, and then they make money off the interest paid. In every visit you will hear over the speaker system how wonderful life is if you get a credit card and charge zillions of times a year. I just learned that getting customers to sign up for their credit card is how the checkout people get paid and advanced. I was actually tricked --lied to-- on my last visit. She offered me a special discount for signing up for a card, and I said absolutely no. She then assured me that if I just gave her my name and phone number she'd give me a one time only discount. When I asked, she assured me that NOTHING would be done with that information. HUGE LIE. A week later I got a letter saying "your credit card application was denied". So without my signing anything; without my giving even verbal approval; against my explicit and unambiguous instructions, Kohl's submitted a credit card application on my behalf. I am going to take this up with the Attorney General's office, obviously. read more

Kohls.com is the worst absolute worst place to order from because of their customer service group. I placed an order for my nieces Christmas present on 11/30 and still have yet to receive it on 12/23. I called numerous times to find out they shipped it to Ohio when I live in Massachusetts then I called again to follow up and I was told I need to call the USPS to find out because they are just customer service associates NO you are the retailer who shipped the package your telling me if I mailed something to a friend I couldn't track it?!?!?!?!?! Then I called on Monday 12/19 when I still didnt have the package and I was told they would refund my money. I thanked the man and I am waiting my 7 to 10 buiness days for my money back went to bed thinking it was taken care of then to wake up and find an email from Kohls customer service that said sorry for the inconvenience but to wait until the 23rd it might be delivered by then but if not call them for the next step so I write back letting them know it has been handled and I was told the refund was processed by the nice man I spoke with and I gavethem the number I was given to track my refund I send off that email to wake up again wednesday morning with the exact same email just with a different persons name at the bottom so now I am extremely frustrated and I said I was going to call the better business bureau I want my money and to stop sending me the scripted email that are provided to them one more time i get another email from customer service saying i hope this experience doesnt deter me from shopping at kohls.com in the future. GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR its 12/23 still no present for my niece thank G-d I went out and got a replacement because one of the biggest retailers couldnt get me a present I ordered 7 days shy of a month!
