Long overdue 5 star review for Kobe House ..I eat there about once a month. Fresh crawfish, soups and grilled all of that for $30 bucks, Thank you KOBE HOUSE. read more

1-Star Review The service was horrible, especially considering this was my birthday and I had a party of approximately 23 people. This was not my first time visiting Kobe House, and I really wanted my entire party to experience and enjoy the hot pot, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. From the moment I arrived, I did not feel welcomed. The staff was very unfriendly, and the host seemed completely unprepared to handle a large party, even though we had reservations. There were meats being placed on the table without anyone explaining what they were or who they belonged to. That is a serious concern, especially because someone could have a food allergy or dietary restriction. We also had multiple people asking for the all-you-can-eat items that we were paying for, but the food was not being brought out in a timely manner or wasn't brought out at all. What made it even more frustrating was seeing staff members sitting in the booth while our party was still waiting for food and assistance. We had to repeatedly ask for things that should have been handled as part of the service. My party spent close to $1,000, and the level of service we received did not come close to matching what we paid. I understand that a party of 23 can be challenging, but that's exactly why proper planning, communication, and attentive service are important when accepting large reservations. I would NOT recommend Kobe House for a large party. I really wanted my birthday celebration to be a great experience for everyone, but unfortunately, the service took away from what should have been a special day. read more

Perhaps not as flashy or glitzy or large as the other space-themed, AYCE hot pot and Korean BBQ joint, but this is the preferred spot for my family. We just prefer the meat marinades here. Grills are shared at the table, but hot pots are individual. Pick your own broth! (My go-to is the Healthy Herb.) Hot pot meats, BBQ meats, and hot foods are ordered and brought to the table by humans or by a talking, robot cat. Sauce fixin's, raw seafood, veggies, and fruits are laid out buffet-style. This is where we come for the family's monthly cheat day (though we often come more than just once a month). read more

I ordered Black garlic pork Ramen and the soup was very flavor, with several layers of umami, crunch, and texture. The noodle were a little thinner than normal ramen and I really enjoyed that small difference, I forgot to ask if they made noodles in house. I believe they do. I didn't get the AYCE BBQ and hot option but $20 for lunch was a good deal. My ramen was $14.99 and I also got unsweetened tea. Total was 17.99 plus tax and optional tip. The portion was just right. The temp of the soup could have been a little more for my taste but probably fine for most people. The guidelines for BBQ said 2 meat portions at a time, 90 minute limit for All you can eat. I f you don't eat all your food they charge extra by weight, so know you're appetite. I will return and try the hot pot and barbecue and I'll ask questions about the uneaten food. If I have a couple spoons of rice they charge me. I think it's mainly for the meat. read more

I use to come here so much, they put the Shirley temple on the menu because of me. And after tonight. I won't be back. My husband gets the spring rolls, as he's vegetarian. The waiter was warned of this. They come with shrimp in them and "was changed today". Went to eat a quail egg and it was completely rotten inside. Got up to get more veggies from the buffet. Came back and my food was gone. The servers that were being trained were so sassy and talked back when being told how to properly dispose of plates. Went to pay since the server never came back to the table. And was laughed at on my way out.... Never again. read more

The decor was cool they have shooting stars down the middle in the ceiling. With moon shaped lamps. The only thing is they have fluorescent by it that kills the mood and makes it a lil depressing. I'f they change the surrounding light on the ceiling to blue or bright white led it would elevate the ambiance. And really amplify the decor and the beautiful marble walls. The hostess was really sweet. This is a hot pot and bbq place but I got the ramen. The pasta was a lil undercooked but overall okay if you're just in the mood for it. read more

We visited the Kobe House in a group of 6 for a birthday party. Pros: something for everyone, and everyone can order what they want! Service was attentive, and they have a neat robot to deliver kitchen dishes. The broths were well spiced, and the buffet was fully stocked with hot pot items. Cons: a little hectic on the delivery of our BBQ meats and drinks. Remember what you order and double check that they got it all We didn't do this, but we saw another group brought in birthday dessert. A good idea since the dessert offerings on the buffet left much to be desired. We went with fruit instead and that was fresh and delicious. read more

Cool atmosphere, great service and a great deal. Hot pot and Korean bbq for under $40 each and the food is delicious! You can't beat it! read more

Started with the Szechuan Spicy Soup base, which was less of a dish and more of a fiery baptism. I saw visions. Possibly my ancestors. Then came the Spring Rolls--crispy and golden. The Cheese Wontons were so creamy I briefly considered proposing. Then the meats rolled in like a delicious stampede: * Sliced Lamb: tender, flavorful, and just gamey enough to let you know it had a personality. * Sliced Ribeye: melty marbled glory that made me question why I ever settled for basic burgers. * Korean Short Rib: smoky, juicy, and cooked so perfectly it whispered, "you're welcome" with every bite. * Hibachi Filet Mignon: theatrically seared and fork-tender--Gordon Ramsay would weep, then steal the recipe. By the end, I was full, happy, slightly on fire, and planning my next visit. read more

It's so lovely inside, and I loved the decor and the large booths! The $30.99 includes hot pot AND Korean BBQ, so you get a lot of bang for your buck. We had a fun time cooking our custom foods, and the sauce bar was a fan favorite! There were a ton of options for seasonings, but I wished there were more vegetable options on the cold bar. Everything tasted fresh, and our waitress was super nice and helpful! I would definitely return here for a date night or a girls night out! It was a fun culinary experience. read more

The wait was short, we were seated about 2 mins after we entered. We weren't rushed to order, as it was our first time. The food was fresh and in abundance. The buffet gives you bang for your bucks! The experience is unique. My husband, kids and I enjoyed it because we love cooking our own food. We could've had some more guidance in ordering and selecting menu items. Wish there was oil to keep the grill moist but we could've tended to food more to prevent it from sticking. Another con was that not all the food at the buffet was labeled, especially the sauces and seasonings. And I think a caution should've been provided on the large soup/ramen portion in combination with the bbq options. Maybe suggest starting with a few meat options. In general the buffet was clean and orderly. Our table was set and clean upon seating and the waiter cleared dishes throughout the meal. read more

I love Korean bbq and they did not disappoint. Hot pot is also included in the price. It's about $30 per person. The decor is beautiful and would great for a date night or coming with family and friends. There's a huge salad bar with seafood offerings including crawfish and snow crabs. The robot comes to your table with any appetizers. I'm so happy to have this place on the westbank. I'll be returning. read more

I came here for the first time on a cold Sunday night with my cousin. All the other hot pot places around the area were closed so we decided to try Kobe House. When we got in, we were instantly stated to our tables, as we made a reservation for it earlier online via Google. The staff were very nice and patient with us when we ordered. We got their Dinner All You Can Eat package which includes both hot pot & Korean BBQ ($29.99 per person). The inside was pretty standard, but still clean and neat. The roofing was kind of spaced themed so that was pretty cool. For drinks, I got their Virgin Cosmic Colada ($5.00) and my cousin got their Virgin Astro Punch ($5.00). I really liked my drink more than my cousin's drink since it had a strong Pina Colada flavor to it. As for the meats and food there, everything was pretty solid. They weren't too salty or sweet. Everything was down the middle. Their Tom Yum broth had a minor spice flavor to it. Our total all together came out to be $76.80, but with tip came out to be $87.80. Overall, it's a standard AYCE hotpot/KBBQ place but it was still pretty good. read more

Great food, service was prompt, the ambiance is typical of a Korean hot pot place. The hot pot options and buffet are great, but one of the hidden gems of this place is their cooked menu. We had spicy pork bulgogi that was awesome! read more

Kobe House has been my favorite hot pot place I've tried around the NOLA area so far!! I was surprised to find out their dinner price includes hot pot AND kbqq. They also have a huge selection at their buffet of toppings, sauces, and seafood/meats to go along with the hot pot/kbqq. Our server was very attentive, and super friendly. I can't recommend this place enough! Just be sure to come with an empty belly because you will be well fed throughout your time there. read more

Micheal provided horrible service to our table. We were greeted rudely, never checked on, only had our cups refilled once and after our cups remained empty, changed the grill once in the hour and a half we were there. The grill remained on, BLACK, and SMOKING for the last half of our visit. He then proceeded to drop the check on the table without ever checking on us first and without saying a word. This review is only about the service Micheal provided us. The rest of our visits at Kobe House have overall been a positive experience when it comes to service and food. Unfortunately Micheal left us with a pretty negative experience this visit. read more

I have to admit, we went to Kobe House because Ombu was closed. I liked Kobe House much better. It's smaller and more intimate. I also like that I can order Hot Pot and Korean BBQ at the same time. Ok, so we tried Kobe House because we seen amazing reviews on TikTok. Now dont get me wrong the restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. My waitress need a little more training. It was our 1st time there and we were asking questions. She seem very frustrated due to us asking how does it work. There's a buffet & hibachi (separate things). I got the Thom Tom soup with steak & she got the Korean soup with shrimp & steak. Its $30.99 per person for the buffet. It could be a 10/10 but you have to actually cook it and make it taste like what you'd like. All the sauces were laid out & everything you could think of to go inside the soup. I saw many people enjoying it but I couldn't get into it. Go try it out! Hopefully you'll be better than I was at cooking my own. If I return again I'll definitely update my review. read more

Great value for what you get, it's also the only kbbq + hotpot restaurant i know of in my area. Their buffet itself was organized and clean, none of the food was room temp or disappointing as well. The staff was definitely reserved but very accommodating, and they came by more than enough times for us to get our fill of meat. i'd definitely recommend them if you're feeling a little indulgent. read more

I normally don't leave reviews but I decided to have my birthday dinner at Kobe House in Gretna. My husband and I made reservations for 7:30pm and as soon as we got there our table was ready. Christopher was our server and he was very polite and nice. I wasn't sure how things really worked so he was able to explain everything. I love the atmosphere in there everyone was helpful and helping each other. We loved the sliced ribeye and the wagu ribeye and we also got ramen and we got the healthy broth and just added everything we wanted. I give this place a 5 star rating . Then I was worried about paying or being over charged for the food we didn't eat or like and you don't have to pay for anything you don't like or you can just get something else. Great job on customer service and I have been out and stopped going out because no one knows how to serve and I will be going here a lot more often. Thanks for the great service! read more

This places' customer service is terrible. All their faces look judgmental. They did not stop whenever we asked. Though their food is great. They keep staring. Waiting for food takes forever. All they do is stand and talk. It is also called all you can eat but limited to only two meats per person? The food was also overly salty. I recommend only if you're in for salty food and customer service. Will not be going here again! read more
