Cutlery for the chopstick-challenged like me

Dumplings are already almost the perfect food, and this place is dumpling nirvana, joy served in little pouches of dough. We had: pork & chive, xiaolong-bao, oyster, chicken teriyaki, Philly cheesesteak, mac n cheese, and crawfish. Some we liked more than others, but they were all very good. Ended up ordering the combo that comes with fries, which initially seemed extra until the end of the meal when, dumplings demolished, used the fries to finish up the dipping sauces. Ambience nice, lots of wood, not too bright, or loud even though all tables were filled, music low. Service also good. We'll so be back.

My cousin and I wanted to check this place out since it just opened. First off, the decor looked really good! Like the aesthetics gave off ancient China type of vibes. For ordering, we had to order our food first and then receive them (just like at a fast food place). Service was nice and quick. I got the Pork Ramen with the spicy "Hell" base ($8.95) & the 6- Piece Mix Soup Dumplings ($7.95). I also got the Fries and Drink combo that costed an extra $3. The dumplings were really good. Very juicy and could differentiate each flavor of each dumpling. They're a bit small, but for the price it's not bad at all. For the ramen, I had to switch mines with my cousin because originally she had ordered the same "Hell" base as mines but they gave her the "Tonkotsu" base instead, so I ate that one instead. We didn't tell them anything since I didn't mind trying it out, and since they just opened we give them a pass for that mistake. The Tonkotsu ramen was pretty good. Not the best, but not bad at all for the price. My cousin said the Hell base was good too, but it is not very spicy if you're a huge spice fan. Also, they serve everything to you via plastic instead of glass bowls and separated the noodles and the broth so we can mix it well ourselves. I am guessing that they want to operate in a fast food chain type of way instead of a restaurant type of way, which is okay with me. Overall, I'd give this place a chance. It's not a typical ramen restaurant, but it's something new in the West Bank that has nice aesthetics, quick service, and good food.

I came here last night for my birthday and it was pretty good. As someone mentioned, the vibe is fast food dumplings- which I'm fine with. I also kind of expected it to be anyway. This place is great for photo ops and a simple meal. My boyfriend and I got a water (that I received at room temp) and his soda cup reminded me of a hot coffee cup. No biggie. We also each for ramen in Tom Yum broth (I got korean instant noodles and added $4 shrimp), 8 soup dumplings, 6 assorted dumplings all for roughly $60 after 20% tip. I don't live on the West Bank so I wouldn't run back here but if I'm ever on the same side I wouldn't mind coming back

I have mulled over this review since our visit on Sat 1-11 for an impromptu lunch. Maybe we just ordered the wrong items? But it's more than that. I've had dumplings in Connecticut, NY, Texas and even Huntsville, AL, and this just missed the mark on lots of things. 1. It was a cold day outside, and it was a cold day inside; only the tables furthest from the door had any semblance of warmth. People were moving tables as soon as they became vacant to get away from the door. Small location for not a lot of tables. 2. Lots of incoming traffic, but they were still mopping the floor with bleach in the middle of people seating themselves. 3. 2 kiosks to order and one in person clerk. We chose in person and had to practically drag the information out of the counter clerk. I really felt like we were ordering blind. From reading reviews, we'd have been better off at a kiosk. 4. Tipped nicely, not realizing I would place the order with a clerk, pick up my order, get my own plastic ware, fill my own drink (I had to ask for the cup) and throw away my own trash. No hostess and no one seating. Note to self: tone down the tipping. 5. They were out of garlic sauce, which I was told was very good. Told they didn't have the beef quesadilla dumplings, though I'm pretty sure she meant they were out of them, since others have reviewed them. 6. Tiny wooden bench seats (no arms, no backs) are slick and not meant for movement. I am NOT a big person, but they were tinier than my fanny, and I ended up on the floor backwards on my bumm when I went to adjust my position. Nice bruise behind both knees from where my legs scraped the edge of the stool on the way down. 7. Ordered Buffalo Chicken, Philly Steak and Chicken Teriyaki. Husband loved Buffalo Chicken, and they are mild, but also bland. Philly Steak - I didn't taste the cheese until probably the 3rd dumpling? Chicken Teriyaki needed Mulan sauce for taste. Sweet chili was mostly oil. And if we had dropped them all in the same box, we wouldn't have been able to tell them apart. Took home leftovers to put in ponzu sauce, but they're still in our fridge 3 days later - forgotten. 8. HYGIENE FOLKS! Took a table to the back that had just been vacated and chose the least messy table spots on it. There was a line coming in the door, and people standing behind our table waiting for us to get up so they could sit down. Do you see something missing here? Like maybe, wipe down the table and don't worry about the floor - unless it happens to be the one I'm falling on? Really, no one was wiping down tables, and there weren't wipe sitting out for you to do it yourself. 9. Took a menu home and have a better understanding though it's not easy to decipher. Write it out for those of us who didn't grow up with dumplings and/or don't eat them every day. The pricing is very attractive, but I would only eat this as a to go item in order to avoid the bleach, slick chairs and dirty tables. And honestly, I don't even see this happening.

I tried the beef ramen with hell base & the mixed soup dumplings. Both were great but I really enjoyed trying the assortment of dumpling. I got it as a combo which came with a small portion of fries and a small drink. I would come back probably when I want something lighter to eat. The staff was friendly and it's nicely decorated inside.

I'm a huge fan of dumplings, so I was beyond excited when I heard about this spot. They offer an array of dumpling options, and the best part is you can create a combo with fries and a drink. I went all in with the mixed soup dumplings to sample a variety of flavors: Pork & Chive, Chargrilled Oyster, Cajun Shrimp, Beef Quesadilla, Kung Pao Chicken, and Cream Cheese Crab. My girlfriend opted for the Chicken Teriyaki dumplings. The service was quick and seamless, and the restaurant's chic decor is perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy photos and reels.

I am not exaggerating when I say frozen dumplings taste better than the ones I tasted here. Service: it's self service where you order on a screen and you sit down and wait for your name to be called. You then bring the tray to your table and grab your own plastic utensils and refill your own drinks. They didn't have plates or anything so it was hard to share amongst the table. Staff was friendly and helpful when we had questions about the ordering process and menu. No other interaction than that. Temperature: The food came out not hot but warm-ish?? Texture: some parts of the dumpling cracked instantly when I barely touched it but other parts of the same dumpling were super chewy. The inside was either soft mush or way too chewy. Taste: the fries were very mid and nothing spectacular. However, they were the best thing I ate. The colorful mixed soup dumplings were awful. The seafood ones were very fishy in a bad way.. My friend bit half of one and spit it out. The first time I've ever seen him uncontrollably gag was 10 seconds after that. The mushroom one had such an odd note to it that we couldn't put our finger on. Everything else was so incredible disappointing. Im sorry but how do you mess up dumplings? I heat up frozen ones at home all the time and they taste better. Price: I paid around $50 for everything in the pic including tax and 18% tip Vibes: vibes were cool. Decorations were cute. Overall I am highly disappointed in the food that I got. We were about to order ramen but then I saw a bunch of reviews saying it was literally instant ramen?? So I'm glad I didn't order it. I'm also highly disappointed by the selection available. I get the name of the spot is legend *dumplings* but I wrongly assumed they would have other side options too. I feel like they'd benefit from having side dishes like fried rice or something. I wanted to love yall

This was a great first experience and I definitely want to visit again to try other dumplings! My husband and I ordered: beef and onion traditional pan fried, steamed soup dumplings, and each got an order of mixed dumplings (chargrilled oyster, beef quesadilla, cajun shrimp, crab and cream cheese, kung pao chicken and pork and chive. The standouts: beef and onion, beef quesadilla and kung pao chicken. The disappointments: chargrilled oyster and crab. Everything else was very good! The soup in the soup dumpling could use a little more flavor and they needed bigger spoons to accommodate the soup dumplings. We tried all of the sauces and all were great!

This place is my absolute dream. Dumplings for days. Great atmosphere and decorations throughout. Love the self order kiosks. Amazing dumplings. I had the chicken and mushroom and the buffalo chicken dumplings. Both were excellent. They have great chili oil as well. To the post about the odor, I definitely noticed it, as I am very sensitive to smell. It seems like it's coming from the bathrooms, like maybe a sewer back up. So not their fault, but definitely a smell they will want to address long-term. A+ 5

The dumplings were great! Some of the dumplings were a hit and a miss but our favorite was definitely the pork and chives dumpling and xiaolong bao. The crawfish and oyster dumplings wasn't our favorite but it was definitely something different. The service is good. We have been here a couple of times and things are changing. When we first ate here, we weren't charged for extra sauce, but that's okay. We would definitely pay for extra sauce because it's amazing! The drink cups aren't as big as they use to. But it's free refills. The ambiance is cute. It fits the theme. The only thing we hate is the chairs lol.

Tom Yum Ramen, with shrimp. I like that they separate the broth.

Upon entry the ambiance was nice, It was lunch time so there wasn't a lot of ppl or noise. You have a choice to order your food and pay for it at the self serve kiosk. Or a server which was the option i chose. The food came out in an appropriate time. I ordered Shanghai soup dumplings. Which were pork dumplings that were suppose to have broth in them but they were bone dry. For my ramen i order Tom Yum with shrimp. The broth was very Mild the space level was suppose to be a 2 out of 10 but i didn't taste any spice. I did like the that the broth is separate from the ramen and proteins. I'm a light eater so I'm happy i don't have to reheat the noodles when i eat my left overs i can just reheat the broth and put the noodles in it. It was okay nothing to write home about,

Great service! Recently opened across the river in Harvey in a pretty convenient area. Everyone who works there is very welcoming and nice. The menu has a bit of everything from chicken to shrimp and even Mac and cheese. The garlic sauce that comes with it, is a must try and adds to the flavor of dumplings. Perfect for a lunch meal or something quick to pick up on the way home.

Hell's Ramen w/ pork. Nice and spicy and full of flavor!

I ordered the Bang Bang Salad because it sounded amazing on the menu. It came with a variety of fresh raw fish and was described as having a wasabi cream sauce. As a sushi lover, I was excited and expecting at least a little heat from the wasabi, but unfortunately it wasn't spicy at all. There was also no wasabi, soy sauce, or other condiments included, which was disappointing. I ordered it without rice, and I didn't realize that meant the bowl would be heavily filled with cucumbers. Since I personally don't like cucumbers, that was a letdown. I wish there had been an option to remove them or substitute something else. Had I known, I probably would have kept the rice and simply not eaten it. The fish itself was fresh, which I definitely appreciated, but the portions felt a little skimpy for the price. That said, part of the cost may have been influenced by ordering through Uber Eats. The menu looks really good overall, and I'm willing to give Hangout another try. Next time I'll probably visit in person and order earlier in the day. Since this was a late-night delivery order, that may have contributed to some of the issues. Sushi, noodle salad and more...great comfort food. We found out they relocated to the old Gretna neighborhood near the Courthouse recently so why not see how things are now in their new digs? Walking in, we noticed a big difference. In the previous spot, they were in a strip mall where they were small and intimate. In their new location, they have more space and a separate area with a bar. I think this was previously occupied, but on the eyes it can be a bit confusing. Within minutes, we were ready for ordering. For apps, we both ordered noodle salad, one of our favorite dishes. Sophia said the aftertaste was like mayonaise and I noticed the difference too. Maybe the mix was a little strong, but it was good. For the main course, I ordered baked salmon rolls which consisted of baked salmon fillet wrapped around snow crab filling and we shared fried fish cakes with wasabi sauce for dipping. Everything was delicious and just like previous times after moving away, made us feel like we were back home. However, the reason why the rating was 4 stars was due to the lack of intimacy the new location offered. It looks gorgeous, but again, the presence of intimacy seemed a distant memory. We sat next to a group who was a little loud and inebriated, even though they weren't harming us. A situation like that at the previous location would never happen. Sophia mentioned the same thing too as we left. Would we come back? Yes, but maybe during lunch where it's less people. We'll give them some time in this location.
