I watch a lot of Japanese food videos - in the sense of "what does the average Japanese person eat" over Americanized fantasy of it. I've been to Fuji twice, and ignoring the rice burgers, this place has the sorts of dishes that the Everyman in Japan eats. My go to is their variety of don dishes. The place is beautiful and often has calming music playing; however this can also be detrimental as it's also wildly quiet like so quiet it's tough to replicate. Could be something with the acoustics. Service is always nice, the waitress forgot to put my appetizer in on my first visit but water under the bridge. Kindly, I noticed that while tipping is done from an iPad at your seat; the waitress has always looked at the ceiling while you finish the tip process. It's nice to see someone alleviate a part of toxic tipping culture. This is going in my rotation of go-to's easily. Try the curry katsudon or the karaage don read more

Tried Fuji Ramen and was pleasantly surprised, the ambiance was very cute, clean. We randomly found this place in Harahan, what! We tried the ramen bowls as pictured and it is good enough to hit the ramen craving - the broth could have been more flavorful but honestly it was decent. Service could also be better because there was only 1 server working at the time we went and jt got pretty busy. read more

Been wanting to come to this place for a while and was not disappointed. Love the Japanese art they had around the restaurant and in the corner they had a table for 2 right next to a Sakura tree. So a nice seat for you and a significant other or if you are on a date. The service was excellent. And of course the food was on point!!!! read more

I'm a picky ramen eater and find it difficult to find good ramen in New Orleans. I was really surprised when I stopped here by chance. I ordered the black garlic tonkasu ramen with katsu chicken and it was really good. My favorite spot has always been Royal sushi, but this place is closer to home so I'll be back. read more

Food is nasty . The meat was unable to be even eaten since it was so tough. Staff was fine, literally just the food is so bad.

Stopped by on my way to the airport and let me tell you, I'm happy this popped up in my random search of restaurants. Very quiet, peaceful. Felt instantly relaxed from the moment I walked in the door. We sat by the bar and ordered a bento box. It came with salad or soup and a choice of white or fried rice. It was delivered quickly with fabulous service and was super tasty...and way too much food. Great value for food, service and ambiance! read more

I came here one random Monday and I had great service and the food was really good! We started off with spicy edamame, coconut shrimp and Fuji wings. I also started with a Thai tea which was delicious. The coconut shrimp had a creamy sauce which was different but interesting. The wings were so fresh and hot and I loved the sauce on the edamame. The hibachi was tender and flavorful. I definitely will be back to try the ramen! read more

I know sushi is in the name, but I consider this place a ramen place. It is a very WELCOME ramen place to the area at that. I would say it is on par with one of the greats in the city, Retaurant Union. We came here in the cooler months and it really hit the spot. The service was fantastic as well. And the retaurant is so very clean, on the larger side, and very inviting. I ordered the fuji ramen. The pricing is on point with other ramen restaurants, maybe a little bit less. And I loved it! That broth though! My favorite part is that you can add items to the ramen, like more eggs, fish cakes, corn, etc. I would highly recommend this palce to anyone looking for amazing food and service in Harahan. This area is really starting to explode with fantastic restaurants and I am so happy this was is added to the mix. Keep up the great work! read more

Meh, the beef is pretty buns in the beef ramen. Cool vibe I guess inside. Only half an egg in the ramen. The beef was subpar.

Food was 4/10 at best. Very bland. Rice was just fried with some egg. Steak had no flavor and was cooked to a quite chewy consistency when asked for it to be rare. The chicken, however, did have a teriyaki type sauce on it that was good. Veggies and noodles also had no flavor. I was the only customer in the building and I get why. I will give them 5 stars for service, cleanliness and food presentation though. It does "look" good on that plate. I think they just need to use some seasonings, butter, garlic and soy sauce like every other hibachi place. read more

Tasty ramen and appetizers. Ordered the pork gyoza and the crab cheese wontons in addition to ordering the chicken shoyu ramen and trying their Hell's Spicy ramen special. The pork gyoza was a great appetizer and offered it as steamed or fried. The Shoyu ramen could be ordered with pork or chicken base/protein. The Hell's Spicy ramen was very tasty and was offered in different spice levels from 1-20. Food overall was very savory and flavorful. The portions were just right for the price. Restaurant had immediate seating and staff were very friendly. Offered a wide selection of alternative food options other than just ramen as well. The restaurant was very clean and overall a good atmosphere. read more

Been seeing this place as I drive by, finally have a chance to try it since I love . I love all the natural light coming from the wall of windows. The decor is really simple. I can tell my server is new to the industry and is trying his best to adapt. Doing well so far, he's very kind and humble. Ok now the food.. we got pork katsu(curry) and black garlic tonkatsu. My was pretty good. Noodle had a nice chew to it , soft but not too soft. Pork was nicely cooked and seared. The marinated egg tasted nice, only downfall to egg was that it was a 7 minute boil, gooey yolk. My son had the kids tonkatsu and we added Naruto (fish cake ) and a side of shrimp tempura. He loves the broth; loved it enough to drink most of the broth, kinda rare of him(7 year old). I'll definitely come back! And you get a scratch off! And who doesn't like a scratch off?? read more

There's no cocktail menu and alcoholic drink options are limited. Server was not knowledgeable about the bar. Decor was nice. Restaurant looked clean. Sauce on the filet mignon was a little too sweet, if I go back I will ask they not use that sauce next time. Entrees are definitely pricey. Bao Bao was very sparse on the ingredients, husband said he had better else where. We were going to try the dessert but server handed us our check before we could ask so we paid and left and got dessert elsewhere. read more

I had a good experience here. I've been here twice within the last week. Both times were for take out. The person taking my order was friendly. The first time I ordered the shoyu chicken ramen with no egg and extra bamboo shoots. Overall I thought it was good. It could've used a bit more flavor so in the future will ask for some chili oil on the side that I can add to it. The second time I ordered the seafood soup which I felt was flavored well and was tasty. I also ordered the chicken bao bao which I also enjoyed. I was able to park onsite. The wait to receive the food was reasonable. read more

MONEY GRAB - High prices and will use every opportunity to get more money out of you with upcharges. For example, you only get a small HALF of an egg in your ramen and even though I said no corn, no seaweed, or fish - and even with saving them all of those ingredients they still won't substitute HALF OF AN EGG. Clearly they don't care about their customers and just want to pick your pockets. I won't be getting swindled anymore. Plus they charge you $4 for soda with NO REFILLS. It's disappointing how little you guys actually care about your customers. Hangout Ramen has better broth and appreciates their customers instead of trying to take advantage of them. They also push their merchant doordash fees on to their customers by bumping all their doordash prices up by $1 read more

We decided to try this place on. Saturday. It was a chilly day and ramen was what we needed! The restaurant was very nice, clean and decorated beautifully. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated immediately. We got Thai tea to drink. It was good, I prefer mine a little sweeter but it was still tasty! Appetizers were Karrage and Takoyaki. The karrage was so good! Crispy chicken and so flavorful. I don't eat takoyaki but my boyfriend said it was delicious! Our entrees were the hibachi chicken dinner and the Fuji ramen. I had the hibachi and it was delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was so good. It came with noodles, rice, and vegetables. All were very good. My boyfriend said the ramen was very good. Very flavorful broth and good heat to it! We finished out with the deep fried cheesecake. It was very good. Warm and gooey in some spots and cold in others. I actually found that complimented it. Overall the food was just delicious and warm and comforting!!! We were well taken care of too. Everything came out quick! If you haven't tried this place, go today!!! read more

I have been here twice. First time was take out, I got the ramen, it was good and my boyfriend got the chicken hibachi and he also loved it. So we came here to eat tonight again. No music, not a soul in here with us, and a nearly silent TV playing in the back. We both got the chicken hibachi bc he said it was soooo good last time. LET ME TELL YOU OTHERWISE. This was the DRIEST plate of food with NO seasoning at all. The only part that was edible was the veggies which only consisted of broccoli and 2 thin pieces of carrot. Thank god I like broccoli lol. service was not bad so nothing to say about that. read more

Service was amazing. Our server was very attentive, but the food was awful. For appetizer we ordered the shrimp shumai, they are the frozen packs that you can buy from an Asian market. For entree we ordered the Fuji ramen and the Kakuni Don. The Fuji ramen had NO flavor, the noodle was so bland, the broth tasted like nothing, the corn was not crunchy and had no corn flavor. How do you mess up the flavor of corn? The only thing with flavor was the egg, that was seasoned with soy sauce. The Kakuni Don had 4 different types of pickles. The pickles had flavors that I was not use to. It was topped with 3 THINLY sliced meat over a bunch of rice. It was sliced as thinly as a piece of paper. Not worth it for the price of it. Over all, I am very disappointed. read more
