King's Billiard - Old, GMaps pic, but Imua Lounge would be in the right hand complex. There is a hair salon on the ground floor before the stair case.

Upon entering its small, luckily it was empty when I went with my friends which was perfect. We didn't know the instructions would be in Korean but we had an employee explain how to play 4 Ball. Once you understand the instructions the game is really fun and we became competitive! I didnt see any liquor and forgot to ask. They charge $2 for 10 minutes of gameplay. Don't worry you don't have to set your watch or iPhone because they have a clock that keeps the time for you. Overall, I would go back because i learned a new game. I don't know if there are nights when it gets busy but I went on a Saturday night (late night) and it was empty.

"Pocket Pool" is what many people play, this is BILLIARDS..... larger tables with no pockets, and only 3 balls - one white, yellow and red. the place was empty, so i'm guessing really new. there was one guy working the register area towards the back corner of the place. from what i can tell, the tables were nice, but i have yet to play on them. they have the instructions posted on the walls b/c many people probably do not know the rules of billiards, so that is handy. i think i'm gonna come back to play here and check out what the prices are....

Velvet Touch Billiards is the spot if you want a chill, no-frills place to shoot pool. Super…read morerelaxed vibe, with tables spread across 2 floors - love that they split up the crowd like that. The crowd: older, chill, not rowdy. So don't go there acting a fool - this is far from Hawaiian Brian's. Pricing? Shockingly fair. Saturday night, 5 people, about 2.5 hours... $64 total. About $6/person/hour. Hard to beat. Use of their pool sticks and chalk is included. They don't serve food or drinks, but they've got vending machines. If you're like me and like to be prepared, bring a small cooler. They do allow outside food & drinks, NO alcohol tho, so don't get too excited... ;) Now the downfall: THE SMELL. From the moment you walk in, you'll catch that lingering cigarette aroma. Blah! If you're used to Vegas casinos, no big deal. Werewolf like me? I avoid casinos because of that smell, so... that's that. Oh and second downfall is that the tables aren't far enough apart, so you'll have to exercise proper etiquette throughout your entire game. Time does lapse when both tables are occupied beside you, especially if those people lack awareness... so, bring your patience! Parking is a little adventure. There's a tiny lot behind the building, and street parking nearby. We circled the block a few times like lost tourists (Google Maps betrayed us again lol), but once we finally found the driveway, it was worth it.

My friends and I adore HB!…read more It's a great place for concerts and shows. Their crew really puts their heart into their work and you can tell. There really is something for everyone. We love the options at Wild Orange. I've been sober from alcohol for the better part of 3 years and normally speakeasies don't have much to offer me. It's fun to still get to cry some craft drinks without the booze. Their vegan and veg bites are creative and delicious. I've had many a great night dancing, eating, and jamming out with people I love. They also host different pool and darts events that I've spectated at. Always fun just to play casual pick up, but some of my friends play more seriously in some of the tournaments and it's nice that their venue is large enough for the crowd. Parking can be tight but if you go to the top level there is normally something open. As long as you remember to get your parking validation (they even have a sign reminding you) it's very reasonable and cheaper than ride sharing if you have someone who's able to drive.

Yeah, Frank…read morehere - he's got his own billiard room." - Cosmo Kramer, Seinfeld da Scene: Revisiting old haunts and took my daughter here to play some pool and tell stories from my old (and her recent) youth. It's a far cry from the original spot on Ke'eaumoku I used to go; right across from Like Like Drive-Inn... it was more like a old school "Color of Money" pool hall back then. There is ALOT going on in this spot now. Event space for concerts/club, 2 pool rooms, full bar, darts, and a hidden speakeasy (see review of Wild Orange). da Play: Came in early afternoon/evening and was already busy, tables were a little worn, but true and spaced nicely, there were mostly regulation-size tables and a few smaller bar-size ones by the darts. Good cues were a little sparce and for some reason a lot of "keiki-sized" ones... then I realized why when some kiddos walked by. I think it's great that you can bring your kids, now I get why the "21 band" gets issued at security. There was a lecture/event w/ Hawaiian music in the event space when we got there, turned into a club with music thumping through the walls later on. Played almost two hours, with three rounds of drinks, very reasonable. da Service: Park, check in, parking validated, hit the bar, drop your name for a table and wait for the pager to vibrate while sipping on cold drinks... Bartenders were nice as was the very diverse crowd. 20 somethings groups chatting it up, date night couples, bros drinking more than playing, families w/ kids, and a few semi-serious guys "in session". GREAT PEOPLE WATCHING. Security is visible and on top of things; couple of times a rowdy group got rambunctious and got a firm talking to... you don't wanna get a scolding by any of the bulls in yellow security shirts!!

Restaurant side is nicely separated from the arcade side tho the scent when you walk in is that of stale buffalo wings and dirty beer rags. The game card machines are pretty abundant and easy to work to either buy new cards or recharge your old ones. Only real complaint is its still ridiculously loud in there and trying to find an employee to help with any technical issues is like searching for a a needle in a haystack...and it wasn't even that busy when we went. Literally took the kids to play games so we didn't have any food this time around. While i still miss Shirokiya and the Japan Walk, we will definitely be back...i mean...i have 2 little kids.
