If you haven't been, I'm sorry. If have, rejoice and know the chef, Skip, who happens to be my brother-in-law will enjoy his retirement after a chaotic, non-stop last month. I stopped in for lunch today with my good friend and struggled with what my last meal should be. I opted for the Chicken pot pie and corn fritter. It was light, flaky and delicious. The corn fritter came with maple syrup and brought me great joy. My friend went with the pork Milanese which was huge! It came with mashed potatoes and veggies. She definitely will be having a second meal from that pork cutlet. She also ordered a Reuben to take home for her hubby. Sorry, no photos of the sandwich. The service is always top notch and the drinks free flowing. Stop in if you can. But know the wait will be lengthy but worth it.

Nice bar, and good selection for wines and beer. Parking is street parking mostly and they have couple of parking spots to the side of the restaurant. Genuine hospitality that welcomes you like they've known you forever. You are going to ask why you haven't been here many times before after you visit. Everything is of quality and fresh. The menu is concentrated offering a nice balance of traditional items and Irish dishes. The Potato and Leek Soup is made very well with such a clean smooth broth and plenty of potato and leek present in the soup. Try the Cajun Chicken and Sausage gumbo was a nice option offering Big pieces of Chicken and Andouille Sausage. Nice kick but not overwhelming. Clams or Mussels appetizers are on point and worth sharing with the table. The Corned Beef and Cabbage dish was amazing and definitely NOT bland! Lean Corned Beef and fresh hand cut veggies make this a must have! The NY Strip, is tender, cooked perfectly and recommend having the whiskey sauce over the top! For $38.95 it is a bargain! Highly recommended as it literally checks every box for me. Will definitely return!

This week, my wife, my stepson, and I, stopped by for a late dinner and drink. This is a small, cozy bar with I'm guessing is a lot of regular customers. There's a nice bar along with a few tables. I had a Sam's Oktoberfest to start. We ordered cheesesteak fries and a pretzel to share as apps. I then had a cheesesteak sandwich which was really good! The woman serving us, who I believe is the owner, was very friendly. She also does all the cooking right at the side of the bar which was cool. Parking easy, prices very reasonable. The interior is bright and contemporary with a farmhouse vibe. Plus plenty of perfectly positioned screens to watch your favorite game. The service was on point for the most part. Our server was great but I think he was working too many tables bye himself so we kinda missed the opportunity to order a second round of drinks. We got wings, which were delicious, but I'm so sorry to say, but we didn't love the food overall. With the steak dinner we got, the steak was over cooked and the fries tasted like burnt oil. The pizza also tasted like cardboard with sauce on it and the caesar salad tasted solely like anchovies. I really wanted to love the place and I do for the happy hour and drinks, and I would come back to try it again & order a burger/wrap, but I left a bit disappointed.

The French onion soup was tasty, the salad from the weekly specials was rely big! A huge portion we just needed to ask for dressing on the side. The cocktail sauce definitely seems homemade and has a great kick to it. Fries were had a good crisp and the fish was pretty good. The side salad was very good and was a decent portion. The chicken parm and fish portion was a very healthy size. The whole ambiance of the place reminds me of places from my childhood and that makes me happy. Cons. The fish could have been a slight bit moister but over was still good. The chicken parm was a bit bland in flavor and a bit thick in breading. Coleslaw, with the fish and chips, was definitely store bought. Overall, the place is worth the stop on through if you are on a budget or like place that remind you of an era gone by. but still want to eat out. Just remember that it is a CASH ONLY place. It's my daughter's go to favorite for this place and I know she will be happy to have some of my leftovers since the portion is so huge. Hubby liked dipping his fries in the sauce (as did I). Such a joyful meal! I highly recommend it! He got a coffee and we split a piece of cheesecake. It was a large plate for a small piece. It may not have been too small, but perhaps some Whipped cream or a smaller plate to appease the eye. The service is fantastic! We sat and had menus right away, whenever we finished a drink or food.
