My in-laws were visiting from out of state so we went to Knoll farm for a picnic. We ordered ahead and spend $59 on a picnic. When we arrived we were told that a private retreat was happening and we weren't allowed to sit near the viewpoint. We ate at another picnic table without a view despite being disappointed. The view was the reason we choose to drive an hour to do this picnic. When we were finished we walked over to quietly take a look at the view and take a picture with our family and a very rude employee came over and told us that we were not allowed to even look at the view. I'm sorry, but the whole point of vising was to sit and have a picnic and look at the view. If the farm was closed off to the public for a private event then they should have said so on their website. It wasn't very nice to pay $60 and then be told that we weren't allowed on the majority of the property. There were no refunds offered to us either. I am very disappointed and will not go back. read more
