I did partake in a delicious chocolate chip cookie from Moutainview Bakehouse and a pretzel with flavorful mustard, as well as purchased a soft pretzel with mustard from the Austrian bakery Haus on the Hill that also had a lot of wonderful sweet European style treats. Took home two jars of The Poet's Garden's yummy homemade jam: Black Currant Rhubarb Lemon and Aronia Berry. There were a number of things I hadn't ever seen before, like a huge wild Puffball Mushroom, and Sea Berry plants. Found particularly nice the handmade ceramic tiles, felt artwork and wood pieces from Heartbeat Lifesharing group. There was covered seating to enjoy your food and an adjacent community garden. There's a lady selling rice milk, and homemade empanadas and burritos (which she keeps warm by wrapping them up in plastic and a serape), and a few craft, quilting and jewelry booths as well. I emailed their landlord, which is the Hanover co-op and reported the issue. They said that it was the farmers market management who was responsible for maintaining the landscaping. The Norwich Farmers did not reimburse me or even respond to my emails with their insurance information. I was going to take them to court, but that would involve my insurance and I don't want my rates to go up. I used to be a customer for years as I live locally but due to their complete disregard for their customers, and horrible management I will never return. I can get what I need from the farms I buy from directly. If you value your car or drive an expensive car be aware.
