Knoke's is a Hudson gem! We love spending time down by the river and then walking up to Knoke's for an ice cream cone.

Happened upon this store of yumminess and very glad we stopped in. Tried a little bit of everything. Bulk chocolates, gummies, taffy and random candy sold by the amount you scoop, loved the mint malted milk balls! Packaged homemade peanut butter cups with the perfect ratio. Homemade caramels that melt in your mouth. The ice cream and gelato counter brought me back to my childhood! The coconut ice cream with chocolate chips and nuts was fantastic and the portion size was on point! My husband opted for the turtle cheesecake by the register and loved every bite. We will definitely stop in again if we're in the area. read more

When I asked a local where to get ice cream, this is the place he recommended. I'm so glad he did because the ice cream was amazing! I'm glad that they allow samples. There were several that looked so good and I could not decide what to order until I'd tried a couple. The one I chose was a vanilla base with caramel and slides almonds. It was delicious. My son loved the sorbet. It's $3.50 for one large scoop. Staff was friendly and plentiful. We did not have to wait to order. It's fun watching one staff person make the treats behind a glass enclosure. I don't believe there's a lot to park, you'll have to find a spot along along the street which got a little tricky on a Saturday. We took our ice cream to go and walked down to the water and enjoyed the beautiful view of the St. Croix River. read more

This is my favorite stop to make whenever I am in Hudson. They have varied selections of candies and of course chocolates. They also have some wonderful gifts and gift baskets that are reasonably priced for the amount of things they contain. They have a large candy wall, which you can fill up and pay by the pound, ice cream, and various chocolate bonbons and truffles you can order as well. The service is always friendly, it's mainly teenagers is working. The ambience is relaxed and they do have a couple of tables at the front in case you would like to sit and eat. Parking can be tough on the weekend since it is right in downtown so make time for that if you are in a rush. read more

Wow, what a way to cap off a great visit to Hudson, a beautiful town just east of the Minnesota/Wisconsin border. Located a couple of hundred feet east of their main street, Knoke's oozes an excellent experience. They display their wares so well, and they are aplenty. Loved their chocolate and ice cream offerings. Our server was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I had some chocolate options and loved them. It was chocolate heaven for me. Very cute, organized and clean chocolate shop in the heart of downtown historic Hudson. Not only do they make they creamy chocolate on site. They is quite a variety of bulk candy for everyones liking & some chocolates & ice cream. The kids like having their own bags, discovering & picking their favorites for their specific bags. The bulk rate for most was $4.99 / half pound, which the kids were happy with less than that. The adults enjoyed some chocolate nuts and sea salt specialities. The place is very classy and huge inside. You can have a nice trip and septa needed that. I wasn't hungry so I did not try the chocolate however, I tried the roasted cashews as well as the caramel popcorn. They were good. Service was good. They paid attention to the customers. They have everything you could think of to satisfy your sweet tooth. I got some of their chocolate bars to gift to some friends in Texas. Who doesn't love chocolate and from a small business such as this fine establishment. When I'm in downtown Hudson, I can never resist. I always get a bag of the milk chocolate covered gummy bears...yes I have a huge sweet tooth and my son opted for some Superman ice cream. It appears they are moving next door but it's under construction. Everything is delicious. I've even bought stuff on their website and shipped directly to the recipient. Awww yeah! Can't go wrong with homemade chocolates, bulk candy, and scoops of scrumptious ice cream. I feel like when you're in WI, you have to do as the Wisconsinites do and eat all the dairy ever known to man. We actually came here twice during our week-long stay, if that tells you anything. It's in a great location downtown, just a few block walk from the St. Croix River and close to lots of fun shops and eateries. We ordered a random sampling of chocolates and got our kids ice cream. Our kids made lots of moan-y food noises as they scarfed down their Superman, Cookies and Cream, and Birthday Cake scoops. Note that one scoop is giganto. I am glad we had them get it in a cup so we could walk, nom, and save the rest for later that night. Get extra napkins. Chocolate-wise, we tried the dark and white chocolate peanut butter cups (choco is top layer, smooth PB bottom layer), dark caramel espresso truffles, dark sea salt caramels, sugar free dark sea salt caramels, dark butter creams, dark St. Croix Critters, and dark cashew caramels. The sugar free version we didn't love, as it was gritty and dense, and the butter creams, cashew caramels, espresso caramels, and sea salt caramels were good, not mind-blowing. The stars to us were the PB cups and St. Croix Critters. Next time, we will try the choco covered krispie bar and potato chips and will definitely get the critters and PB cups again. You knnot go wrong with Knokes. There may be legit reasons for 4 star ratings, but I can't bring myself to give anything less than 5 stars for chocolate. I mean come on, it's chocolate! After having a wonderful meal at the Postmark, I needed something sweet to round out the evening. Seeing how my girlfriend wasn't with me, I had to settle for a chocolate confection. The display case was choc-full of everything chocolate. Big ones, small ones, light ones, dark ones. You may say that the display was all inclusive. No discrimination. It was tough choosing, but I finally settled on the Caramel Cashew patty things. A half pound worth! Not enough. If your wallet can survive it, get a pound. Just tell yourself that your significant other, in the absence of their presence, would think you cheap if you didn't go full measure. Quick Tip: The Caramel Cashew things are big enough to share with that sweetheart of a granddaughter. It's better than a fruit roll up. read more

So is 10:30am too early for ice cream on a Tuesday morning? No it is not... We were out hiking early with our nieces on a very hot morning so we needed some cooling off. As locals they suggested this place. The AC was refreshing and the selection of ice cream was quite large. They also have gelato. I tried the salted nut roll flavor and it was very good but perhaps a bit flat. The girls liked their flavors - Cotton Candy and ?. It was fun and tempting browsing all of the chocolates and other candies but we refrained from buying any. Very difficult. read more

This place is a sweet tooth's dream. First of all, their new space is LOVELY. It's bigger and more open, and I love the option of being able to eat inside if all the benches outside are taken. I love that I have so many choices. I love the more old fashioned candies, especially my beloved Razzles. And the different chocolate options are always great, they make wonderful gifts. My favorite thing is stopping at Knoke's after dinner to grab ice cream or gelato. The price is always right. The service is always great, I'm never standing around waiting. read more

Adorable shop in Hudson! My family and I decided to enjoy a beautiful fall day walking around and I led us to sweets. They have a large assortment of items to pick from including nuts, chocolate, and gummies. They offer sugar free candy and my dad is diabetic so I kept telling him to pick a sugar free candy. He was not interested but at least it's an option! They offer boxed chocolates so great gift idea. We built a box of chocolates to share as a family. There were so many to pick from including white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, peanuts, peanut butter cups! My mom loves gummy bears so we found her gummy butterflies and they were actually so good! We took our sweets and walked down to the river and enjoyed them on a bench. Stop by Knoke's to satisfy your sweet tooth in Hudson! First, I'd like to thank Knoke's for putting a giant ice cream cone sign at the intersection of Main Street and Locust Street. I wouldn't have found them after lunch without seeing the big sign on the sidewalk. This store seems to specialize in the following (in order of the quantity of stuff I saw on the sales floor): chocolate, ice cream, candy, and nuts. They especially have HUNDREDS of chocolates! I had cravings for ice cream so I got two scoops in a cup. The ice cream (Cedar Crest) was good and the price was super reasonable. It only set me back $3.50. Only a week prior, I dropped $8.50 on two scoops in a cup at Grandpa's Ice Cream in the Twin Cities. My buddy got a big one pound chunk of fudge with walnuts - yum! This place is tucked away in beautiful like Hudson, WI. It's not really hidden, but it feels like a gem! You walk in and it's small and tight corners, but everything is presented well, it's aesthetically pleasing to look at the displays of candy. And this place smells deliciously sweet. It's actually very potently sweet smelling, so for sensitive sniffers, just prepare yourself, haha. The staff were very friendly and helpful, giving recommendations and offering free samples that are set out for shoppers. There is scoop ice cream here, which I'm sure is delicious, but I didn't try any. However, the chocolate was so so so good. I tried some dark chocolate, milk chocolate, some salted caramel, some peanut butter. Everything was marvelous and left me wanting more! The prices aren't bad, done by weight for the pick and choose items. Some larger display and packaging chocolates were definitely more expensive, but I'd say his chocolate was good enough to spend a little extra on. Check it out! read more

Their chocolate is amazing to say the least but their staff is always accommodating and friendly and their selection is always changing to reflect the season or just something new.
