Another cool feature at this shop is that every ice cream flavor is noted if it has gluten and/or nuts which is helpful for those with allergies.

It did not disappoint! You can either go inside the house or order from the outside window, we stayed outside and loved it. There are plenty of places to sit and relax, and the whole setup feels like you're hanging out in someone's backyard. Super cute and laid-back, with extras like cornhole and photo areas that make it even more fun. There were so many options to choose from, but we landed on: 2 root beer floats, Ice cream nachos with cookie dough and caramel collision (so good!), 1 scoop of playdough ice cream. Everything was tasty, and the staff was friendly and patient while we made our picks. It was the perfect treat after a sunny day. The only downside and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that we had a coupon but weren't allowed to use it or even apply the value toward our purchase. A little disappointing, especially since it was our first visit. That said, Mabel's has so much charm, and I'd love to come back to try the coffee next time. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

I could only assume they were fixing it. Annoyed as I stand there waiting for who knows how long. Finally about 25 minutes later the cake looks as it should. ZERO apology which pissed me off. Fast forward to this year I decide to give them another chance. Same type of cake but with a specific blue border. I go to pick it up and the picture is there but it is the wrong blue. My daughter specifically picked out Blue#2. I tell them it's the wrong blue and asked what they could do. Some young girl steps in and says they can remake it but it will take 24 hours. Not acceptable! She asks if I ordered this online and I say yes. She goes to the back while I pull the confirmation on my phone. She comes back and says the order just says blue. I happily show her my confirmation that says blue#2. Then she offers to add the other blue to the cake. I said I guess if that's my only option. I specifically said I only wanted the light blue added above the dark blue on the bottom layer. Guess how it shows up...light blue on the top and the bottom and might I add it was done so quick and poorly. At that point, I would have just left it as is and had an upset kid. Now it looked like shit. Another girl stepped in who seemed more in charge and confirmed it was an online order and asked if I already paid. I said yes and it seemed as though because I already paid nothing could be done. The icing on the cake was as I was leaving the original girl "helping" me yelled HAVE A NICE DAY! Just as an extra jab to an already shitty experience. I wish I had gotten her name. I wish I had refused to pay and talked to a manager. Sharing so you too don't make the same mistakes I did.
