shaved ice

Obsessed with them!!! They have so many flavors to try! Super refreshing in the summer. Reminds me of the shaved ice I had in Hawaii. The texture is so soft. Highly recommend getting condensed milk drizzled on top. Adds a creaminess to it.

TropicalSnoMN is a cute little shave ice spot. Just a heads up, their walk up window is not currently open. We saw a couple cars get out of the drive thru line only to find out the walk up window is not open. They had a great assortment of flavors, add-ins, and toppings, as well as Dole Whip! They rotate the Dole Whip flavors, so it could vary from day to day. You can also get a Dole Whip flight! I got the Dreamsicle "Hawaiian Style". It had vanilla ice cream and a condensed milk drizzle. The flavors were pretty good, and the ice cream and condensed milk did give it a Hawaiian flare. Everyone was super friendly and the service was fairly fast for how busy they were. We will 100% be back!

If you're ever in Burnsville and wanting some shaved ice, this place is a must! Owners are wonderful and their flavors are delicious, not as expensive as other places either! They also have punch cards available for when you purchase 9 you'll get 1 free. Don't want to get out of your car? No worries they also have a drive-thur option! They will also serve at your party too if you want. My sister hired them and it was one of the highlights at the party. Bonus: very affordable price

I'm from the south and my son and I love snow cones. It's been hard searching for one but finally found one. The owners are amazing and offered great customer service. They even offer a raffle with punch cards to earn bonus snow cones.

Cranberry and margarita snow.

Fun change up from ice cream on a hot day. Great offerings and loved the addition of sweetened condensed milk.

You're telling me that I can get a Sno Ball, like I'm used to getting only in the South, at Lake Calhoun?! Remember on Saved By the Bell when Jessie took speed and was in an aerobic video and said manically over and over, "I'm so excited!" That was me minus the drugs and the spandex. Okay, giddiness aside if I must, here's what you need to know: *two sizes, served in take-out containers. Small (think a side of rice) - $3, large (think what your last order of Kung Pao chicken came in) - $5 *a TON of flavors including Georgia peach, wedding cake, tiger's blood (yes, you read that correctly), blue bubble gum, dreamsicle *additional flavors or sweet cream will run you an additional $.50 each *they have sugarfree options, which I forgot to explore since I was just too excited, a la Jessie Spano I ordered the small king cake as this is a New Orleans-style sno ball truck, after all. It was a perfect purple sno ball with unidentifiable sweetness. I don't know what king cake is supposed to taste like, but I do know that there wasn't a tiny baby in my sno ball like there are in traditional king cakes. That would have been super creepy. It's finally (maybe, hopefully, finger-crossed) summer in Minneapolis and this should be at the tip-top of everyone's bucket list for the foreseeable future.

They reached out to confirm the event multiple times, and were a giant hit with our guests. Their old-fashioned truck is adorable, and their sno balls quite literally had people coming back for more. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for a future event!

They are also one of the few places around that have flavor burst ice cream which is a must try. So nice that they're year round, too. The gazebo seating did rip my pants as it's very splintery so I'd be careful of that, though.

One to order, one to pick up. It was a warmer day so it pretty consistent w/ customers lining up. I seen that they have a strawberry soft serve, I mostly got it because it's pink ice cream, lol. I ended up getting it in a chocolate dipped cone. Ice cream was pretty good. Soft serve usually is. Just melts so fast and creates a sticky mess. Prices were the same as everywhere else but I feel like $7+ for soft serve ice cream is spendy but market price I guess. I did see a sign that they don't replace fallen ice cream which is understandable. They have a few seating options outside as well as there's a ton of city benches in the area. They also have a little play area for smaller kids which is nice. I'm not in this area much and I'm sure they close for the colder months but I'd probably check them out again if I'm out that way.
