we purchased a used suv from Dave Cross Motors, Lees Summit, mo. it turned out that it had a bad…read moretransmission. The deal was off. I (Elaine) talked to Doug, sales manager. I was told on the phone that he(Doug) would give me back my down payment and my car as he'd has no use for a $2750 vehicle (2017 Chevy Equinox)he definitely had an attitude. Later that day Doug left a message indicating they sold my car. We went the next day. We were upset. Doug handed me the check for $5500.00 I asked him to prove to me that it was sold...Doug replies it in the detail shop. We exchanged words. It was AWFUL! DO NOT BUY FROM DAVE CROSS MOTORS! BUYER BEWARE! NOT HONEST AT ALL! I am 70 yrs old, all I wanted was a decent car.

We took our 2016 Buick Regal to DAVE CROSS in LEE'S SUMMIT for an oil change, tire rotation, and a…read morenew battery. Standard services that every dealer provides a hundred times a day. When they finished, my husband started driving home when an alarm went off in the car. The dashboard message was, "NO OIL. TURN ENGINE OFF IMMEDIATELY". He was in traffic and desperately trying to get back to the dealer's before the engine froze up. And he did make it. He was told that the markers on the dealership's oil dispenser are worn off so everyone GUESSES how much oil they are putting in a car. They checked and it showed we had almost four quarts, but the sensor doesn't register unless they put in the full five when the oil filter is replaced. After that was taken care of, my husband once again begins to drive home. He gets halfway and the dashboard sounds an alarm and the message, "TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM" displays. Finally at home, my husband called the dealership and they said to ignore the error message, the tire pressure is correct, and that it only takes a few minutes to reset the tire monitoring system BUT it can only be done by the dealership. And the dealership is in Lee's Summit and we live in Peculiar, MO so it is a bit of a drive especially after spending couple hundred dollars for services that were not properly done. The two SIMPLE jobs they neglected to do correctly makes it difficult for us to have faith in their service department, knowing that they guess on how much oil they put in your car. We were offered no discount, no partial refund, nothing for a job NOT WELL DONE, and nothing for the time we spent waiting for them to do their job. And we still must drive back AGAIN to get the tire monitoring system reset.

Save yourself THOUSANDS and don't go to this dealership. They are shady and liars. They added in…read moreadditional things that were not agreed upon. I did agree to multiple add ons (not really by choice but because they said I had to) and even on top of all of those, they still had to sneak in more. I was told by my salesperson and general sales manager, Ron, that they would cancel/refund me for the ones I did not agree to. I was always weary, but now know they are completely full of shit as it is going on 3 months and I have yet to see the refund. Take your business to Oakes Kia of Olathe. They do not require add ons/markups for the 2027 Telluride. Unfortunately, for me, I did not find that out until after the fact.

Do Not Buy From This Dealership -- Learn From My Mistake…read more I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership out of state, and it was by far the most frustrating car buying experience I've ever had. The vehicle was originally listed on AutoTrader for $36,000, but when I reached out, the price had suddenly jumped to $39,900 -- a textbook bait-and-switch. It took over two weeks just to finalize the sale due to the finance rep never returning calls or emails. I had to contact the main dealership line over 10 times just to get basic updates. The entire process felt chaotic and disorganized from the start. They did disclose that the front bumper had been damaged and said it would be professionally repaired for $800. However, the repair was clearly not professional. The bumper was cracked, filled with Bondo, and painted over without even being removed -- a low-quality fix that would never pass for proper bodywork. That wasn't the only issue. Several other problems were never disclosed: * The front camera lens was cracked -- a $1,300 repair according to BMW. * There were spider cracks on the rear bumper, likely from a previous accident. * A noticeable dent was on the door that had never been mentioned. * The car arrived dirty, with dog hair between the seats and personal items still in the center console. * A GPS tracker was still installed and powered, even though I paid for the car in full, in cash. After raising these concerns, I was told someone would follow up. That never happened, despite contacting them three separate times and being given the same excuse each time: "Someone will reach out today or tomorrow." This was a $40,000 purchase, and I absolutely overpaid for the condition the car was delivered in. Had I known about the extent of the damage and the poor quality of the repair work, I would not have paid what I did -- or may not have moved forward with the sale at all. The lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. I waited to write this review because I wanted to give them a fair chance to make things right. But since they've shown no interest in doing so, I'm sharing my experience in the hope that someone else reads this and chooses to take their business elsewhere.
