I asked them if I would be able to get my $10 back from the shipping since the part was not the correct one and they said no on special orders they can't do that. What??? I don't understand that. I need every dollar because I am a senior woman on disability and I don't think I will order anything from O'Reilly's again. We took our Jeep down from Des Moines to have a tow bracket and brake cable installed. During the brake cable installation there was an issue that they caused. This was not because of inexperience of sloppy work; more so that things happen. They immediately stopped the work and told my husband to take to a Jeep dealer and they would pay for it to be fixed. We took it to Jeep in Des Moines had it fixed. True to their word they paid for the work and even called a couple of days later to make sure everything was ok. The first one they installed had manufacturing defects. They noticed them as it was installed and explained they would order the repair parts and get it fixed. After replacing one part the cover still didn't work correctly. It took some effort but after several communications with BAKFlip, they were able to procure a replacement top and get it installed. It took about 4 months but throughout the ordeal they have been in constant communication with me. I never once doubted their efforts to make it correct. Going through box after box of "stuff" accumulated over the years we spotted a toy that we usually display. Opening the battery compartment I was dismayed to see batteries from "I don't know when" still installed. Needless to say, not only they were dead but there was that white crusty gunk on the contacts. Out to the garage I grabbed my trusty can of contact cleaner and found that it was as dry as those batteries. Rather than disappoint our granddaughter with a lifeless Santa, I drove the single mile to our neighborhood NAPA store. While I did learn that my original cans price tag promised many years of inflation, the replacement was still affordable. Back home I sprayed and rubbed the connections, installed new batteries, and Santa came to life! Storing the new can of contact cleaner next to a nine year old tube of dielectric grease, I thanked my lucky stars that reasonably priced help was right around the corner. It is really nice having support for stuff you rarely use handy for that unexpected emergency when it hits.
