in the past year, I've completed four front brake and rotor replacements on my cars. Two of the four times the staff failed to give me the correct front pads . There's nothing more maddening than having a car in the air, especially if it's the only car you have at the time and end up with the wrong part. These staff need more training to be able to pick the correct part once you've explained the exact car you have. I will be going elsewhere. read more

When we walked in the worker was on the phone with a customer. Another employee came through the front door and walked right past us and proceeded to stand in the back and hide, trying to look busy. When the first guy finished his phone call, he didn't even acknowledge us, but immediately took another call, without a word to us. After waiting for about 5 minutes without anyone even saying anything to us, returned our stuff to the shelf and walked out. Neither employee bothered to see if we needed help. We drove to the O'Reilly's down the street and were immediately helped, and drove right past the advance auto, probably faster than we would have been helped if we had stayed. The parking lot was empty, most likely because of the poor customer service. BTW, O'Reilly's had a full parking lot, and 3 people being helped at the counter, and we still had someone help us right away. Most likely not going to bother shopping here again. There's 3 other auto parts stores within a mile or so. Id give them zero starts if it were an option. read more

Before I even crossed the threshold, Scott offered a friendly greeting and I told him why I was there. They told me "if you have access to simple hand tools and youtube you can do it yourself" The guy was an idiot and tried to sell me a battery for $350 when the one that i needed was $200. Stopped by for some fuses today. These guys are always friendly and when needed helpful. I have never needed more than the typical maintenance items, and they always have a good stock, always having what I need. A huge plus is that they don't seem to play women here for fools. I generally go in knowing what I need, but when I ask questions, or I am not sure, they are very helpful and don't try to take advantage by selling me a lot I don't need. read more

I got pulled over today and found out both of my brake lights were out!!! I got a "fix it" ticket and was very stressed about driving to work. Right after work I went into this location and asked Steve if he could help me figure out which bulbs I needed. He went above and beyond!!! He came out to my car, checked my lights, took me back inside, showed me which ones to get and then installed them for me!!! I was blown away by his customer service. Not even a big sale... $7! The folks at this location have just been awesome. Easy to return parts, extemely helpful and very knowledgeable. Today, I stopped in for a new battery. Chris was real helpful, helped me choose the right one, installed the new one, tested the new system, and gave me some helpful tips - all in about 15 minutes and $100. The worst customer service I have experienced. The man at the register refused to honor a warranty on break pads which are clearly marketed and sold as lifetime warranty. He refused to talk to me about the warranty and said my boyfriend needed to call the store. The store owner needs to get rid of the terrible employees and retrain on proper customer service. read more

Went in to purchase some freon for an old rodeo my daughter just got. Normally I go to AutoZone, but my dad insisted I go to Advanced because they would make sure we got exactly what we needed and help us put it in if necessary. A man on the sales floor suggested A/C Pro it was $49.99. I made a comment that I had just seen it at Walmart for 39.99. He said they don't match prices, but that this one was $5 off and they would email us a $5 off coupon for our next visit. When I asked if they could help us put the freon in the car, he said they weren't allowed to help us put it in, but they could go outside with us and walk us through it so that it was done properly. When we went to pay, a different man helped us, and when we asked him if he was able to come outside with us to make sure we did it right he said no he didn't want to because it was too hot outside. And not that we'll ever go back there again, but he never did ask for an email address for our $5 coupon for the next visit. When I let my dad know what happened, he called up there to talk to someone who just laughed at the comment made that noone wanted to help because it was so hot outside. When my dad made mention that the owner (by name) wouldn't like that they were acting like this to customers, the man wanted to get off the phone as quick as possible. What's really sad is this is my daughter's first vehicle and experience in an auto parts store. I told her I've been driving for many years and have never ran into problems at AutoZone or O'Reilly's and I suggest that's where she goes in the future if she needs help! Not sure who my dad spoke to on the phone, or the name of the gentleman who helped me on the sales floor, but the man at the register who said it was too hot for him to help outsides name was Ross Z. read more

Usually this is my favorite auto parts store. However, there is one employee there that I just have a difficult time accepting his attitude. I think at some point they need to recognize that having a snarky, condescending, employee will ultimately cost them business. Perhaps his knowledge and skills could be put to use in an area other than the registers. Some people are just better in the back of the store. When you have an employee who wants to scold and argue with customers, I'd say that's a big clue that he might be a behind the scenes guy. read more

I came in this store two days ago to purchase new wipers, mines are wasted already, I walked in asked what are the cheapest wipers i can get for my car, gave the year make and model. Point out to me the onyx wipers I grabbed them rang them up with a $2.99 wiper fluid jug. 40 dollars, I said no way I am paying 40 dollars for wipers. The gentleman said go back to that isle and the further right you go the cheaper they get, great i did just that grabbed the same name brand wipers but cheaper ones. I went back to pay and some other guy rang me said he wouldn't even give these to me for free how bad they where I said well i am not trying to pay 40 for wipers, who does? said its not about price its about quality, rang me up came out 15 bucks cheaper he said look its not that much of a difference you should get the others I said no sir this is fine, he said i will be back in three months,He was trying to hard sell me, and I walked out after paying he said have fun at dinner with your wife, I hope its not expensive.. I am in the car business. and if I was to say that to someone that walked on the lot and didn't buy the most expensive car from me, you think I would have a job the next day? Unbelievable..
