There are too not many places to eat close to the Fairmont Orchid. DO NOT WASTE your time on Kead and Bake. the customer service is more like what you would expect in New York, not Hawaii. Th Aloha spirit is very much absent here. The person that took our order made us feel like we were bothering her. When we asked to have a table cleaned so we could sit - it just got worse. Our order was basically thrown on the table without a word. If you are looking for a pizza fix on your vacation, this is a great option. The pizza tastes good and fresh. They are small (12 inch thin crust) pizzas. We had the Island Regular ($22) - which was awesome flavor. Unfortunately two of the slices had almost nothing on them (guessing when they were loaded into the oven, it all slid over or off). The Margarita Pizza ($19) was fine but nothing I would do again. Service was fast and friendly. There are numerous pizza options in Waikoloa and somehow wee chose Knead and Bake takeout for our Friday dinner. Loved the pizza. It had the kind of crust that I like, ultra thin and crispy. The Margherita pizza is a personal favorite and Knead and Bake does it right. Thin and crispy is the only crust that a margherita pizza should offered in. We also had a cheese pizza for granddaughter and another supreme pizza with Kalamata olives, and they were all good. Definitely ordering again when we return. read more

I like how the pizza is thin and the flavor is really nice. The garlic knots don't look like their website photo. There is no herbs and no real garlic. Our sons enjoyed their pepperoni pizza. In terms of service, the cashier was very friendly and very busy. The estimated 25 minute wait time turned out to be 40 minutes. Love the pizza at this place! Super good quality but the business is really poorly managed. 5 stars for the pizza. It had a perfect crust and dough. You can tell the dough was very fresh going into the oven and it was really light and fluffy. Also had an awesome charred taste from the oven (not burnt) and the toppings were amazing. The problem with this place that I also see in other reviews is that there is literally one guy running the entire business. His phone is going off every 5 mins with orders, he's managing the register and running back and forth making pizza and taking orders. He often runs behind an hour or so just for 1 pizza order. We came at our estimated completion time which was 1 hour after ordering and still had to wait about 15 mins after for it to be done. The guy running the shop was really nice but he looked frazzled and overwhelmed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, the location and pizza itself is 5 stars. The service and the way the business is ran is significantly subpar. Tried Knead and Bake for the first time and was very pleased with the experience. There aren't a lot of great pizza places on the island so it's nice to find one reasonably close. I ordered the Pau Hana pizza which is similar to a combo. Good toppings (especially the Kalamata olives!) and crust. Time from order to hot pizza in my hand was less than 10 mins and the service was pleasant and efficient. Definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

Not what we expected. The name should be Knead and Bake and Take. Hole in the wall, meager seating. Does mostly pick up so the crew is busy on the phone with new orders. We elected to eat on site and had three pies. The taste was good. Our pepperoni and mushrooms wasn't cooked and the toppings slid off. It was served in a take out box and crammed in. It's a smaller shop in a nicer shopping center with 5 tables inside and several outside. The pizza was ready when arrived. The young lady that waited on us was super nice. Pizza is hands down my favorite food, and Knead and Bake satisfied my craving during our Hawaiian vacation. We stayed at the Mauna Lani Resort, just a short 5 min drive from this delicious gem. We drive, but could have easily walked or borrowed one of the hotels bikes. The hubs and I ordered two, 12" thin crust pies for dinner: 1) cheese, pineapple, roasted red pepper and roasted onion, and 2) pineapple and jalapeño. We ordered in person, and headed to the Island Hopper next door for beers while we waited for our pies - took about 15 mins. The roasted veggie toppings were a really special touch. Super thin crust, chewy and crazy flavorful. Absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and thoughtful (automatically handing us paper plates, cutlery and their homemade blend of hot pepper flakes, yummmmmmm). Not to be missed! read more

Coming from an area with amazing pizza, I wasn't really expecting much from this place, but was pleasantly surprised! I wouldn't call it great, but for a place in a mall in a touristy area, it was pretty good. Would definitely go there again next time. I was hesitant to order pizza from here because Yelp informed me that some of the reviews were suspicious. Because it was late and my choices were limited, I took a chance- and I'm glad I did. I have no idea if the other reviews are legit, but I felt it was important to share my own experience. Ordered online easily. My 3 pizzas were ready exactly when I was told they would be. I ordered 3 pizzas: a custom pepperoni, sausage, black olives pizza (it came with green olives, but that was fine), plus a couple of their signature pies- Kalua Lei and Crispy Veneto. They're each 12" and sliced into quarters (so I double sliced upon getting them home, because I forgot to ask when ordering). The four of us enjoyed all the pizzas and would order from there again. It's a thin crust pizza with crisp but chewy edges. My only complaint is that the Crispy Veneto was ironically kinda soggy in the center (admittedly it's hard to have that many veggies on a thin crust pie for take-out). It looked like there was only one person working the front and back so I almost thought it was closed and I'd been scammed. But the nice woman came out from the back and handed the order to me within a minute of arriving. Overall, this isn't my favorite pizza but it was good. And reviewers who complain about pricing should look around. Everything is expensive, and this isn't a corporate-funded pizza restaurant. read more

Love this place. There isn't much going on in this area in the evening unless you're the Tommy Bahama crowd, which all of us are at one point. The pizza is fantastic. Amazing crust and flavors.
