Worst dry cleaners I've ever been to! I brought in 2 pairs of pants and 3 dress shirts. When I picked them up, one pair of pants had large brown stains all over it! They posted a note with the pants saying that they can't do anything about the stains and basically say i brought the pants in already stained, which is completely false. I also found a small brown stain, similar to the stain on my pants, on both of the button down shirts. They are also extremely expensive. So I had to pay extra to have them ruin my pants and stain 2 of my dress shirts. This place is the worst. I'll never go to another Klinke Cleaners again. read more

This review is in regards to Klinkes in general though this is my most common location. I appreciate the same day cleaning-but it's a perk and not necessary. Frankly it's less helpful and more of an inconvenience than anything else. Overall the quality of the clean is average. The prices are unacceptably high. Shockingly so. Maybe it's a Madison thing but I have never seen anything like it. I batch my dry cleaning now, drive it back to Chicago on long weekend visits and take it to my former dry cleaner for 75% LESS than what Klinke charges with 2 day service and above average quality. read more

I've lived near Klinke on Monona Dr for about 12 years. Used them occasionally with average service. Then 3 years ago, started taking dress work shirts regularly. The service really started to decline, and I had 3 shirts ruined. The business reimbursed me without any hassle, so that was nice. There was a lot of employee turnover. I was very close to looking for another cleaner, until about a year ago a new guy started named Tony. He's likely the manager because he's always there. Tony greets you, remembers your name, has a great attitude, and has completely cleaned up this location. Service has improved 100%. It's refreshing to see someone take pride in their job & fix problems. 5 Stars read more

I took a$700.00 suit to be cleaned. When I went to pick it up the breast panels and sleeves had hundreds of bubbles in the 100% wool fabric. I took the suit to Men's Wearhouse and they said this happened because they pressed it for too long. I'm in the process of trying to be reimbursed for the suit. They say they have to mail it off to have it determined whether they are responsible for the damage. The only reason I do not give it zero stars is because it's not an option. This review is solely based on a recent and soon-to-be-resolved incident. Several weeks ago, Klinke had to replace a button on a shirt I'd brought in for cleaning. I assume the original button was damaged during the cleaning or pressing process. They have an alteration/tailor right next door that is part of the Klinke ownership, so you'd assume that this would be a straightforward fix. Not so. On my black dress shirt, they replaced the damaged button with an off-color button (instead of simply using one of the replacement buttons that are sewn onto almost EVERY dress shirt near the hem of the shirt...and they used WHITE THREAD to sew on the mismatched button. I was going to replace the button myself, but thought it might be a good lesson for them. So I returned the shirt last week and explained what happened. Today I received notice that the shirt was ready for pick-up and that the charge would be $9.50. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to picking up the shirt and having a chat with the staff. read more

I walked into Klinke's today with a dress, hoping to drop it off for dry-cleaning. I waited in line behind an elderly gentleman who was picking up a comforter that he'd had drycleaned. After the elderly gentleman informed the clerk that there was a discrepancy between his dry cleaning bill and the initially quoted price, the clerk loudly announced, "Well, I wasn't the one who gave you the initial quote, and the other person who gave you the estimate must have made a mistake," and continued to insist that the customer owed the new, and much higher amount. I just couldn't take it. Second in line, I announced that I wasn't going to get my clothes drycleaned here after all and walked out. After reflecting on how poorly this elderly gentleman was treated, I wish I'd said a whole lot more to the clerk. There is *nothing* ok about giving an estimate for a service with the caveat that "This estimate means absolutely nothing." read more

Heather the store manager was outstanding. I dropped off about 40 shirts in the last week and all were done to my satisfaction. I had a few other questions and Heather needed to call corporate. She did so in a very timely fashion and reached back out to me within an hour. Her service is and was absolutely superior to other dry cleaners I have done business with! read more

DO NOT EVER go to this dry cleaners. I took in a prom dress and my wedding dress to have them dry cleaned. I was not able to pick them up immediately due to some family emergencies, however I did call and was assured by the manager that I could pick them up whenever worked for me. He said they still had items there from 2 years ago. When I called to get the price of what it would be to pick up these two dresses, I was told that they could not find the prom dress, but assured me that the wedding dress was there. I was compensated for the cost of the prom dress but the monetary compensation did not ease my daughter's distraught at not having her prom dress. When I again called back to get the cost for picking up the wedding dress, I was told by the new manager that they could not find it either! How do you lose a big ball gown prom dress and a wedding dress? Seriously!!! These weren't run of the mill dress shirts or pants - these were big ball gowns! I will NEVER go to a Klinke Cleaners ever again. They have stolen not only my dresses but the memories as well. read more
