I use their drop-off service. If you can afford it, and their prices are quite reasonable ($1/pound), I highly recommend it. Even with the time it takes to drive out there and back, it's still faster than doing my own laundry. They put the hanging clothes on hangers and fold everything else. All I have to do is put it away when I get home. They're incredibly fast too. I can drop stuff off and pick it up the next night. They also have a delivery service if you don't want to drive out there; and they will also wash specialty items like large quilts: there is flat rate pricing for those. They're the best. read more

I went to Clothes Encounter to wash everything after a campground excursion-bags, sleeping bag, and clothes. The size of laundromat machines being larger than home models, you see. My son's belongings were all left in the dorm back in March 2020 when Covid hit and he was home in NJ for spring break. Ended up not coming back to Madison until Jan 2021; the U stored all of his stuff in boxes. We too all of his clothes, blankets, towels, sheets etc for their wash and fold service (two full boxes and two full laundry bags; all mixed together). Dropped off Friday afternoon. It was ready before 5pm the next day. Everything was washed and folded (and sorted; they even pressed and put on hangers the handful of nicer shirts). Great service and the entire bill was $103. Okay, so there's not enough good things I can say about this place. So I'll try to keep to the main ones: 1) They offer a service where they do your laundry for you. They wash, dry, and fold your laundry for $0.99 per pound. They even check tags and wash items in delicate that require it, and they provide hangers to hang dress shirts, and such so they do not wrinkle. They only ask that the next time you come, bring the hangers back so they can be reused. 2) They are very honest with you about things they may not be able to get out via dry cleaning. They don't shoot rays of sunshine and daisies up your back side to try and get you to use their services. 3) Tuesday night is FREE DRYER NIGHT. That's right... you can wash your own clothes, and then use their dryers for FREE. They only ask that you pull your clothes out when the dryer is done. Half price laundry? Thank you very much! 4) They're opening a restaurant next to their laundry establishment. Thai food to eat while you do laundry, and they will be serving pho! Very excited! read more

What a clean and wonderful place to do your clothes. We used to go here for years before getting our own machines . However recently due to family illness I was needing help with the amount of laundry that was piling up. They picked up and delivered and perfectly folded and washed everything. I can trust this family with my clothes as I would myself. They are awesome folks I have gone here for years. The value you get for your money is really worth it.. I love this place. There are lots of machines, different sizes so you can pick the size you want, and pay accordingly. They have a punch card and depending on the size of your machine you receive stamps. Work your way to a free load of laundry. The punch cards do not work on Tuesdays because that is free dryer night. Personally, I avoid Tuesdays because by the end of the night trying to get a dryer gets a bit intense. I will spend the seventy-five cents it usually takes to dry my clothes. They do have drop and go laundry. I haven't tried their service. The pinball machine has been beaten upon by young children, so the spring for releasing the ball is no longer strong. So, I recommend not wasting your money on it. There are a few tables to sit at while waiting for your clothes to wash. The folding tables are nice. read more

I dropped off a dress shirt and pant for same day pickup. Before leaving I had pointed out all the stains that need to be removed. The worker marked all of stains on the invoice slip. Upon pickup I noticed that not one single stain was removed. The blank look I received from the worker angered me when I ask what can they do about it? The courtesy to check the cleaning to make sure all the necessary requests were followed shows irresponsible commitment to the customer. read more

3/23/12 - A number of the machines (especially driers) were out of service, which I guess happens, and if they are identified as such, a person can live with this. But after I had my clothes in one drier, which appeared to work, the son of the owner informed me (I am white, and more on that later) after it was going, would need to be "babysat." This meant pushing the "on" button at least once a minute for the entire time. (I probably pushed that button 20 times doing the load.) Then, I discovered that one of my drier loads had no heat after the cycle was done. I told the same guy about this and he refunded me my money. However, he then went back to his work space and never bothered to put up a sign on the drier. I waited a bit, all the time informing the folks who were about to put their clothes in the drier (they were all black, and more on this later,) that it didn't work. Finally, when it was evident that Esteemed Son #1 was simply not going to put up a sign -he was sitting in a chair doing nothing - I went up to him and suggested that he might want to inform his customers that the drier did not work. He just looked at me and said "I'll get around to it sometime." I then asked him if he was the owner or manager, and he told me he was the son of the owner, and I took his card, intending on calling his dad about this later. However, ten minutes later his father returned, so I spoke to him personally about this. His father had absolutely no interest in hearing this, did not apologize, and in fact was quite hostile toward me. Knowing that the next step I was going to take would be to write an online review about this experience, and wanting to give the owner every chance before doing this, I asked him if he indeed understood what I was objecting to. In an even more hostile manner, he said he understood perfectly and once again indicated that he felt I had no reason to be objecting about his son's behavior. I'm open to an alternative conclusion about this, but my own is this: I note that the father and son were of Fillipino ancestry and a high percentage of the customers of their business are black. (All the folks who kept trying to put their clothes in the bad drier were black.) I share nothing in common with the PCers who cry "race" at the drop of a hat, but in my estimation what I witnessed was a clear indication that the owners of this business enjoy the opportunity in ripping off customers when they don't like the color of their skin. Yes, I don't doubt the father (not convinced about the son from what I saw) is an extremely hard worker, and I'm sure his prejudice, if indeed he has it, stems from having little patience for folks he probably thinks are all lazy and on welfare. Not very clean, there were flies despite it being late fall. Several machines were broken. Only one or two large machines for washing blankets, which were being used. The prices are also about 50 cents higher than other laundromats in the area. There were only a couple plastic chairs to sit on - one woman chose to just sit on the floor. No WiFi. There was a TV that wasn't turned on. The "double load" washers didn't really hold that much laundry, and were $2 a load. The dryers are 25 cents for ten minutes. Just a crummy place. read more

Great family owned company. They offer a great drop off service at only 99 cents per pound! A very good deal. They will wash, dry, fold, sort, and bag your clothes for you. They will also hang collared shirts and dresses at no extra cost! AND you can get your laundry back the same day! :D read more
