Yet another example of how this person's brain functions and what he will do rather than just owning a mistake. To be clear there was a $100 balance owed for less than 24 hrs that was in dispute because of a text Peter sent stating an incorrect final invoice so we paid what we thought we owed based on his own text. I'm not Donald Trump I pay me debts. You truly find out what someone is made of when things don't go as planned and as with many things in life they hardly go as planned. We hired Kleen to do a post renovation pre-move in cleaning. Kleen provided a quote based on our request and square footage. Apparently there is a hard stop at the time frame the salesperson allotted based on our description. When the timeframe expired we were told we could pay extra for them to continue. This gives the vibe of the 'ole Jiffy Lube $19.99 oil change but then try to up sell you on $400 additional parts. Minimally a poor estimate of time was given and this wasn't the cleaning crews fault. The cleaning crew very professionally asked us to call their office of which we did. Three phone calls later(one with me and two with my wife) and a bit of short, patronizing discussion(hard to get a word in edge-wise), my wife was accused of making one of the cleaning crew cry of which when politely asked the woman very confidently replied "no you did not, that's what he told you!?" my wife was called "one of those", "this must be your first renovation" and asked "what do you want a free cleaning?" No we just want what we paid for is that wrong? Texting my wife not to worry about threatening legal action as the final bill is now $215 which my wife and looked at each and other and thought oh I guess he's doing damage control and giving a discount. She paid the balance minus her deposit. Peter than replied no there is still another $100. Either way long story long. Inaccurate quote and a manager/owner with very poor people skills. Does he not realize that house-cleaning is the epitome of the service industry? Can't just clean you also have to provide polite, courteous, reasonable service. Is that too much to ask? We're moving into a new place and it wasn't in the greatest shape, so my boyfriend and I decided it was necessary to get professional help. There was mold and dirt in the bathroom, dirt and cobwebs on the windowsills, and the baseboards were practically black from all the neglect the previous tenants shown. I booked with them through the app and they were really responsive and accommodating to our move in schedule. We were even able to leave a key so they could let themselves in as it was an early morning appointment. We booked 6 persons for 5.5 hrs "deep clean" for our newly remodeled house. The ladies arrived almost on time, which is good. A lady named Debby is the only one who speaks English. I assume she is the team leader as well. I told Debby what needs to be cleaned, and I even emphasized cleaning the inside of all cabinets and drawers and cleaning all light fixtures. Around 3 pm, which is about 5 hrs later, the company texted me that the ladies need an extra 2 hours to finish the job, and I approved it. However, I went back to the house around 3:15pm, all ladies were celebrating a birthday and cutting cake! Debby said they were on break, even during the breaktime, I don't think a birthday celebration on a job site is appropriate or professional. It looks like they have not started working on 1st floor yet, or are about to start. It means all 6 ladies have been working on 2nd floor for more than 5 hours, which feels very slow to me. While, if they took their time and did a thorough clean, 5-hrs are acceptable to me. However, when I checked the 2nd floor, all the drawers and cabinets were still dusty, and a couple of bathroom scones were still wrapped with wrapping paper. Debby told me that dust would come back after 1st round of cleaning, especially when some workers were still working in the house. First of all, there are only 3-4 painters doing paint touchups on 1st floor. I don't believe the painters would stir much dust. Secondly, how could dust come back inside the drawers and cabinets just a couple of hours after the cleaning?! Are we having a dusty storm?! Thirdly, how could you clean a light fixture without removing the wrapping paper? During the extra 2 hours, all 6 ladies were busy cleaning 1st floor (since I was there all the time). Funny thing is after the ladies clean the 1st floor windows (just interior), the mfg stickers were still on the windows! I even offered them extra hours on top of 2 extra hours to get the job done, the office said "Unfortunately team would be set on schedules and would be unable to add more time as they would need to head home to make it in time for dinner".
