A rock hit my car on the 5 Fwy. The next day I call Omar for an estimate and availability. He answers the phone right away and said he could be by my office in 30 mins. He was prompt and was there exactly at the time he stated. I meet him outside, showed him my window and he explained the procedure. I tried to hand him my keys but he wouldn't take them. He explained that I just needed to roll down the windows and he would prefer if I kept the keys. I leave him to his work and go back to my office. Omar calls my desk about 30 minutes later to say that it is complete. The front windshield looks good, there is a little bit of discoloration but thats due to the resin and the nature of my damage. I called Omar the day before Thanksgiving to fix a new chip in the windshield of our Lexus RX. We were lucky he was available and arrived within 20 minutes. He took the time to explain the process and warranty - if the repair did not work IE the windshield cracked later from that spot that he would replace the windshield. I have an Acura TL and the motor to my passenger window broke so the window won't come up and I had to drive around with a trash bag taped to my car as a temporary replacement. I called up Klear Fix, explained the situation to Omar, and he gave me a few options: 1) fix the broken motor so that the window can operate as normal again or 2) adjust the interior of the car door so that the window does not stay down. I elected to go with the second option as a temporary solution since it was a lot cheaper. Omar and his associate came within the hour, they DROVE TO ME and worked in my parking lot for 10-15 minutes and were done in no time. The two were very polite. I am completely dumbfounded at the experience I just had with Omar after all these 5 star reviews. True twilight zone experience. Called on a Wednesday and Omar called back and made an appointment to meet me at my work at 9 am (Thursday). Thursday comes and goes, as does Friday. Friday night on the way home from work I call to inquire on what happened assuming maybe he had a medical emergency since he appears to be a one man operation. Nope, he answers and immediately knows who I am and says "I'm sorry, I left the office without your address, I'll come out and do the repair for free for your inconvenience." Hm. He forgot my address, but apparently forgot to call me when he got back in the office on Thursday OR Friday too. He then said he'd meet me at my work on Saturday morning 9 am. Guess what??? He never showed up, never called!! Grrrrr!! What the??? He had my cell number, my work number and confirmed the address. How in the WORLD does he have such good reviews? How can someone just NOT show up or call not once, but TWICE? And no, he never called after missing the second appointment either and I certainly didn't want to bother booking with him again. read more
