I went one time to this salon a few months ago and they did great. I called back today (tried 6…read moretimes) and they had me blocked. I had to *67 to get through. But the situation got odder. Again I have only been here once and had my AirPods on watching a show the entire time while getting my nails done, not saying a peep! Please, please, Please do not go here, they discriminated against me because I was the only African American person getting my nails done in the salon. I made a 5:30 PM appointment in which they were taking walk-ins of a different skin color in front of me and proceeded to have me as the last person finished and out of the building. I called back today thinking I would give this salon another try and asked for a different person to do my pedicure because things happen and the salon was busy. However, the manager advised me none of his people are taking new clients and no one was free for weeks. I even asked "do you not want my business and that I was confused because he was basically refusing to let me make the appointment after I asked him about 5 different times and dates" I even left a nice tip and review prior so again...I was super confused on why I got treated this way. I have never been discriminated like this against in MY LIFE. As a family that just moved to Nashville from Houston for my husbands job transfer, we will be telling everyone we know about this experience. I am highly disappointed on the disgusting treatment of the manager and this establishment. This was a terrible experience that needs to be heard. Run and fine kinder people to do your nails. You do not treat people and good clients giving you business this way, period!

I've been searching for a salon like this for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally found it. I'm already looking forward to my next appointment! Thank you guys

We did a plain color no chrome no fancy designs. I was telling my friends out to dinner who live in Nashville and they said they totally took advantage of us speaking terrible English and making it super confusing checking out. I tipped but then realized they also include a tip already on the bill which they call a service fee. I called today to say I was going to dispute it because they overcharged us on everything because I think we looked a little out of sorts and like tourists. When I called Kim the man just argued with me and did not care.

After our mani/pedi's we were waiting for our family member to pick us up we had an hour to get to the wedding. But our ride didn't come and didn't come we called and found out he misunderstood us and was back home. Alfeya grabbed her car keys and said let's go I'm dropping you off otherwise you're gonna be late if you have to wait for an Uber. She zipped us over to our AirBNB about 8 min away and wouldn't take a penny from us "No it's my good deed for the day. Go and have a beautiful wedding." she said and so we did. Additionally, I didn't want to polish my toes and than stuck them in closed toe shoes so Alfeya invited me back the next day for the final coloring polish. So I came back the next day for the toe polish and about an hour later my pup stepped on my toe and messed it up. Alfeya repaired it 3 days after the pedicure.

I happened to mention to a friend how I wished I could have my head massaged by a professional and…read moreshe turned me onto the concept of "head spa," which I had never heard of before. Well, I went down a rabbit hole and found Poppy and Monroe! A head spa is more than just a massage. At Poppy and Monroe, they give you a scalp analysis, massage, and essential oil treatments, with plenty of warm, rushing water to rinse and finesse. My treatment, which was pretty pricey at around 300 bucks, also included a facial (the esthetician rubbing my face was divine), foot massage, and hand/arm massage. At the beginning of the head treatment, Anna (who was AMAZING, by the way) showed me what was good and bad about my hair and scalp--my scalp was some of the best she'd seen, but was a little pale and needed more blood flow. She then showed me what my scalp looked like after that treatment, and there was indeed more blood flow, and looked more vibrant and less anemic. Anna was professional and kind and told me what she was doing every step of the way. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Everything felt wonderful. The vibe was calm. I felt relaxed. After the visit, Anna gave me pointers on how to care for my scalp and recommendations for returning for further treatments, but not in a gimmicky-trying-to-sell-me-stuff way. The space is warm and welcoming and also offers pedicures, manicures, and makeup sessions. The pedicure/manicure spaces are a little close together for my taste (I prefer private rooms), but they are stylish and clean. I plan to come back and see Anna again to work on my self care regimen. And there are lots of cute restaurants and shops in the area, so you can park and make an afternoon of it!

Okay I've been coming to West End Nails since 2022, they are the only nail salon I trust in Nashville! I no longer live in Tennessee but I was in town for a visit, then had an event the same day I landed back home, so needed to get a manicure during my trip. Manicure date: May 28, 2026 Photo Date: June 30, 2026 I only have a very slight chip at the bottom of ONE nail and it's barely noticeable. Last night my sister asked me if I had just gotten my nails done. These have lasted two music festivals, summer swimming and outdoor activities, and regular day to day. I did a standard gel manicure, nothing fancy, no special techniques or premium polishes. Also! The salon is so nice, I usually go with a friend and they put us next to each other so we can chat. They offer you a drink and make sure you're comfy. They also offer 5% discount with student ID!

As a guy just looking to get regular maintenance care done on my nails, my bar isn't that high...but one thing that is annoying is not getting at least the same level of treatment as other customers. A woman walked in, being served by another tech and was immediately asked if she wanted something to drink. It was until then I was offered a drink as well. Once I noticed that, I could see the different level of attention to detail to my service just fell flat. And to top it all off the charge was almost $100. A mani pedi no polish with just a buff, that's it. Maybe the value is there for other folks, but just a bad experience overall.
