February of this year I moved to Nashville from Orlando and finding a nail place I like has been a struggle. I had a guy I absolutely LOVED and a salon that offered actual shoulder and foot massages as part of their pedicure service instead of just having a massage chair. Apex has very kind employees who take their time and do a great job. The salon is clean and bright with loads of pedicure and manicure stations. There's so many colors to choose from between powder, gel or just basic nail polish. Located in the city the fact that there's an actual parking lot is a huge plus. I came here today 10-24-24 when they first opened. Overall the customer service was ok by the three trainees that were watching the lead tech do my nails. However, she asked to cut my cuticles and failed to mention it would be more. Then the shaped them great but I didn't get anything near what I asked for but after she did the acrylic she said it was going to be $80?????? I didn't wanna make a scene bc I didn't want the trainees to feel uncomfortable but this place is an absolute scam. I've never had a worse paint job in basic white nails before. On top of poor job, they kept trying to get me to get style or chrome on my nails and I had to decline over and over again. Very disappointing read more

I wanted a quick place that was open to remove my acrylic nails and I wish I hadn't picked here! While they were plenty nice and I didn't get a nail service done - they destroyed my nails. Instead of soaking and filing my acrylic and solar off like normal, they used a cheap acrylic and wedged it underneath the solar to peel it off from my nail. it was super damaging, painful, and unhealthy. Definitely do not go here if you are trying to protect your nails! read more

Cracks in my dip manicure! I was not pleased with the quality of the dip powder manicure that I received. It has literally been one day and the polished is cracked into what looks similar to fish scales. I've never experienced this before with these products. Additionally, they charged me above the prices listed on the menu posted in the shop. I was advised that those are the 'old prices". I would not recommend this place. I am new to Nashville and chose this salon purely based on its convenient location to my apartment. As others mentioned there is plenty of parking since it's in a strip mall. I had no problem walking in without an appointment around 3pm on a weekday. It is a spacious salon with 2 large rooms (I only stayed in the first one). Christine gave me an awesome mani pedi with exceptionally long and thorough massages! It was $55 for the mani pedi and $10 to remove the gel polish already on my nails (supposedly it's only $5 if you get another gel mani). The salon itself isn't too "glamorous" and that is OK - I'd rather not pay extra for frills or ambiance. I am not sure if this will be my regular nail spot yet as I feel that it's pricier than my nail salon in New Orleans but it will definitely be a contender. I wish I had snagged a photo of the menu to share - be sure to ask for it so you can get the exact service and price that you want. read more

I walked in to the shop and was overwhelmed by the strong smell of acetone/nail polish remover/nail polish all at once, as 8 people were having their nails done in a row in the middle of the room at the desks. My eyes watered and I had to leave. Maybe go when it is less busy, but the ventilation is definitely cause for concern. I ended up going across the street to a less busy nail salon. Prices were $1 more for a basic manicure but the overall environment less harmful to my respiratory tract! read more

My new "home" nail salon! I really don't understand the negative reviews - I've been coming here for at least 4 months now and I haven't had a single complaint. I was previously loyal to a different salon, but I started receiving janky service and long waits, so it was no longer worth the drive. I tried several different salons around my area (wasted lots of money), but this is it!! I've found my saving grace!! The staff members are always pleasant and don't talk your ears off. The owner (I think) is super friendly and likes to joke around. I come here for gel manicures and 'signature' pedicures and love both! And I have for sure seen them clean the pedicure areas between clients. (Yay!). I've never had to wait, even though there is a lot of foot traffic. It's very professional here and the staff do a great job! There are lots of colors to choose. And I'm always happy watching HGTV when I'm here. My nails look fine, and eventually after working very hard to compliment her and warm her up the technician showed a little friendliness. You never know what someone's going through, so I would never leave a bad review over that. But I got the S&S manicure for $45. The end result is good so far, but there was no manicure involved. No hand massage, cuticle cleanup, etc. My nails were just immediately powdered. And when I asked why, she said I didn't need it although I haven't had a manicure in a while and had some dry skin/cuticles I would have liked to have trimmed. Plus the person right beside me got a lotion/hand massage with her treatment. read more

I do not recommend. . . The images speak for themselves. My nails look terrible. The pedicure this pic was taken 2 days after getting it done all the nail polish chipped off. It started chipping the first day and I called to complain. I had gotten this done for my birthday. My nails had tips added to them and chunks of the sides of my nails were filed off. As you can see my nails are leaning to the side. The nails were discolored as well. Not sure if you can see in the pic. This salon clearly doesn't know what they are doing with nail dip. This was the worst mani pedi I've ever received in my life. If you want to see how my nails normally look/ were supposed to look head over to Gloss Nails because they're the ones who I had re-do this BOTCHED job and I'm going to give a glowing review. This place will not do refunds and they offered to re-do it but I had already spent 2+ hours complaining about every little thing wrong they did I just wanted to leave. I hate confrontation and so instead I wasted about $130 on this place. NEVER AGAIN. Learn from my mistakes. read more

It was NYE and I had a limited amount of time to get my nails done and my hair appointment was in the same complex, so the convince factor worked out well. This place is no frills; it's fine, but not anything fancy to make you feel pampered. A basic manicure was $18.00, so a bit cheaper than other options. However, my manicure lasted WAY less than a week. It looked good for about 4ish or so days. Part of that is daily use, so I get it, but I am used to having a bit more life out of a manicure. My tech also didn't do a great job with my cuticles, but I did appreciate that she cleaned up the skin around the nails with a brush dipped in polish remover. I actually haven't seen that anywhere else which is rather surprising. Apex is just fine in a pinch; I didn't have time to do my own nails so this was definitely a better alternative than doing them myself, but I wish the life of the manicure was longer. read more

This was my second attempt at this salon and I was even more disappointed then the first time. I got gel the first time I went and dip this time. The lady doing my nails burned three of my fingers with the electric filer. There was powder on my skin around my nails that stayed for a few days. Some of my nails have random specs of glitter and others have bubbles or bumps in them. They look fine overall but could have been better for how much I paid. Came in last minute on a Saturday afternoon. Was on a work trip and my nail broke they repaired it no cost and were very nice about it.

I highly recommend. I have been a customer of Apex Nails for around 15 years. They have recently expanded and it looks really nice. While they have always been a clean establishment, I felt very safe during a recent visit while in the pandemic. They are friendly, consistent, quick, no up-selling, and thorough. It''s calming, quiet, comfortable chairs and relaxing. This is more of a "no frills" establishment, not fancy but clean and nice. Anytime I have to go to another salon, I always compare them to Apex Nails and I always come back. I get standard pedicures, standard manicures and gel manicures. I decided on a whim to get a manicure so I looked for the closest place that was still open. This place is open later than most other nail places around (7:30pm). I was greeted nicely right when I walked in. I don't get my nails done often but the guy (owner?) helped me pick what was right for me. The guy who actually did my nails was Vu. He didn't talk at all. The place was clean, there were a lot of customers there. The atmosphere was a little lacking - no music, little decoration. It was a fine experience overall. I'm editing my review from 4 stars to 2 stars because after one week, 4 of my nails were broken - the first one broke after 5 days. I went back and they fixed the 4 for free. But then my nails would look awkward because the other 6 were grown out quite a bit already - so they talked me into a fill-in for $30. I didn't want to spend any more money but I also didn't want my nails to look ridiculous. I think they should have done them all over for free. The lady made them VERY thick so that they wouldn't break again, which looks weird. She didn't bother shaping them, so the 4 new ones are more square than the original 6... They just don't look good, and I won't be coming back here. read more
