I initially spoke to whom I believe was Chris on the phone and explained my needs and my frustration with the local dealer. He was not only understanding, but patiently answered all my questions and was very professional. I was already so impressed with his helpfulness that I thought to myself "this is too good to be true." On the day of my service I was greeted by Daniel. He too was extremely friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He treated me and my dog like family, and listened to my needs and explained everything in great detail. They took my car right in, performed the service, and addressed an ongoing concern I had with the brake system. Everything was perfect! Everyone was extremely friendly, professional, and seemed to truly care about me and my car. The dealership, service area, and customer lounge are clean and comfortable. For the first time since buying my Subaru I truly felt taken care of and heard. They have restored my faith in Subaru. Although I am driving from Ashland, it is well worth the extra time and miles. Such service is rare these days, therefore I truly appreciate these guys. I purchased a used car 1+ years ago, there were a few issues needing attention and I called to ask for an exception to be applied to the normal "As Is" type sale, since I felt some of the problems were overlooked in error. My call was not returned. When I made a personal visit, I met with the sales manager, who was genuinely concerned about the experience I had. He was a little upset that some items slipped through their regular inspection routines before going out the door and was asking why I didn't bring the car back. At about the time I was explaining that I had in fact called, the salesman that took my call stopped by his desk and told him I had indeed called, and that my call was forwarded to the service department but again, there was a breakdown in communications. The sales manager immediately ordered a loaner brought up to the office (brand new) and insisted I leave my car with them. This dealer proceeded to not only fix my complaints, but found other items needing a little attention and made ALL repairs at NO CHARGE, and even threw in a car wash. I am now convinced their intent was pure, they don't want something going out the door if it ain't right. One other thing.....the service writers get 5 stars, especially Daniel. He was very patient with this crusty old man, and a big thank you to Neil, the sales manager. I'll be back when we wear out the one we got. read more

We were experiencing a coolant-system problem with our Outback while traveling near Klamath Falls, and in the last few minutes before closing for the day (this was after I called from outside of town, and they told me to come right away), the team at Klamath Falls Subaru diagnosed the problem and even called a local auto parts store for me: the valve inside the radiator cap had broken. They also filled the radiator with coolant for free and were completely upfront about the fact that my car could have other issues (this was because it was right before closing, and there was no time to thoroughly inspect my engine). I returned to visit friends and it just so happened, my Outback was ready for its 6,000-mile service. I stopped in to use their Express service and was told that there were two other vehicles ahead of me and it would be about 2 hours. My service advisor was Daniel, who I found to be extremely helpful and friendly. Daniel made this a very positive experience. I found the dealership to be clean and all of the staff I interacted with were extremely friendly. They had complimentary coffee and water available in the waiting room. As it turned out, my car was done just a bit under the time I was told. Paperwork was a snap (Subaru maintenance plan) so there was no cost to me, even though I did not purchase from this dealership. That did not matter, as I was treated as if I had purchased there anyhow. Now, the reason I did not give a 5 star on this rating. I was a bit upset that the mechanic working on my car left oily finger and handprints in several areas of my vehicle. A few on the exterior, and then again on the interior driver's door. I know under normal circumstances they would wash my vehicle. I had my roof mounted cargo box on my OB, so they were not able to run it through the wash. Not sure if that was the reason less care was taken but hopefully this does not continue. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend the Service Department, even if you're traveling from out of town as I was. I purchased a 2016 F-150 Platinum last Friday, June 23rd. My sales rep Johnny was great to work with but that's where "great" ends. Johnny was good enough to deliver the truck to me by following me home to Roseburg OR, 168 miles away with a chaser vehicle behind him. I know they didn't get home until after 11pm so that was greatly appreciated! Since then I have driven the truck a total of 13 miles. I drive truck for a living so I am away from home all week long. Last night I noticed that the passengers side front turn signal indicator was not working. My hope was that it was nothing more than a bad bulb......not the case. After checking with my local Ford dealership, I was informed that the entire light assembly had to be replaced to the tune of around $1100.00 plus labor. The Ford Rep also suggested to me that given the short amount of time since the purchase, that the Klamath Falls Subaru Dealership would probably take care of it for me........also not the case. I called Johnny and explained the problem to him. After 3 1/2 hours and a reminder text, he informed me that I bought the truck "As is" and I declined a service agreement, which is true. Why would I spend $3000.00 for a service agreement at a dealership 3 hours away? Long story short, they would do nothing about it. When we did the walkaround I did not check to see if the lights were all working properly and I guess that's on me, I'll own that. But when I'm invited to test drive a vehicle off of their lot I figured it would be safe to assume that the vehicle had all working lights and that it was safe and legal to drive, which it wasn't. Now, is it possible that the light went bad during the 168 mile trip to Roseburg and the 13 miles it's been driven since? Sure, it's possible however astronomically unlikely. I think any reasonable person would conclude 1 of 2 things. Either their "All-points" inspection wasn't done properly......OR......They knew the light was bad and chose not to fix it hoping that some fool like myself wouldn't catch it. Regardless of how it happened, when it happened or who missed what and when.....I would have thought that considering the short amount of time and miles since the purchase that they would have offered to do somethng for me, anything, throw me a bone to show appreciation for a valued customer. Nope, I'm stuck with the issue myself and the $1100.00 - $1500.00 bill that goes along with it. BOTW guys? (Their claim to be Best of the West). not in my experience. Extremely dissappointed, Brad H. If I could give zero stars, I would because Klamath Falls Subaru certainly does not deserve the single star I gave them. In August of 2022 my wife took her 2020 Subaru Outback in to be serviced. The service people talked her into doing an "engine flush". Subsequent to doing the engine flush, which neither I nor our regular mechanic would have recommended, a piece of silicone gasket sealant was dislodged from inside the engine, clogging the pickup tube to the oil sump-pump which starved the engine of oil causing the engine to seize and throw a rod through the side of the engine block. Since the car only came with a worthless 60000-mile warranty and since the Outback had 66000 miles on the odometer, the damage was not covered under warranty. We had the repair work done by our regular mechanic who testified that the damage was definitely caused by poorly applied gasket sealant from the factory, and that the engine flush, conducted by Subaru of Klamath Falls, was likely the cause of the sealant being dislodged from inside the engine. The repair work cost us $10,000.00 out-of-pocket. We have written twice to the Subaru Corporation, and have never received a response. So, not only would I NEVER again have our Subaru serviced at Klamath Falls Subaru, but I would also NEVER EVER buy another Subaru. I have read that this fault is not uncommon for Subarus. Sounds like the makings of a class-action suit. Any attorney's out there willing to take this on? read more

Best car buying experience I've ever had! I felt very much cared about and I was very well taken care of. Not the typical car buying process. Everyone was super helpful, kind and personable! I traded in my Impreza for a Crosstrek. Brendon was the one main person I had contact with and who helped me with my car buying process. Very nice! The owner came over to introduce himself and my finance guy also helped me get the best add on deals that will help me save in maintenance. Great shuttle service, fantastic experience overall until Jon completely shut me down and was patronizing when I asked how long it would take for the car to be adjusted. he initially told me the car will "take a while to be drivable," and that was the extent of my timeline insight. It was a simple question, yet his tone became condescending as he gave me a tangent about the process that I already understood, asking, "okay?" Like I'm an idiot in between each step of the process. Instead of just saying "it could take up to 3 days" he spent 10 minutes making me feel stupid and honestly wasting my time not answering my question. He wanted to shuffle me to a rental car agency without taking the time to understand that wouldn't be my partner and my plan so we were stranded there figuring out our plan instead of just doing it there. I understand working with the insurers and on the car takes time, I understand you have other stuff to do, but if you're going to be a jackass when someone is asking for an estimated time you should take a breath and think about the customer service you're putting forward. The shuttle driver almost made up for it. We will be taking our car elsewhere for the repairs. TLDR; friendly but exceedingly condescending if you ask questions after they gave you no timeline. Everything else was acceptable; the place works in a pinch. read more
